  1. Brighton is extortionate for rent, brah. London prices for everything. I'm currently paying about 40% of my monies on rent, but Ine sorts out the bills. So, she does the council tax, food and bills when they come (quarterly for electric, twice a year for water and sewage). I get the car stuff, so insurance and petrol. We've got a good system for all of that, pretty fair I think. One of my friends in London lives somewhere near London Bridge and pays about £1400 a month in rent...which is fucking insane. I didn't dare ask him how much he was earning, though.
  2. I know about keeping the core firm, but I never knew getting your abs massaged was even something that was done. Having a quick browse on the net, it seems that in practice it generally isn't a widely done thing. You can ask for it to be requested, but a lot more emphasis is placed on the back, shoulders, etc. (particularly the back) Personally, if I were to have a massage after a heavy lifting session, I'd be asking for my back, shoulders and probably hamstrings to receive attention. The very last thing on my list (aside from pen0r) would be the abs. Edit: You might have some luck if you ask for the abs to be done.
  3. Good luck, Dazzy. I'm jealous, Paris for four months sounds lovely. Do you have any friends there, as well? Just so you have additional company.
  4. This. The bold bit in particular. Can't really complain at the idea of doing away with page 3. I have a hard time explaining it to people who are from another country why it's there in the first place. I'm not sure what the initial reason was for it's inclusion. If we replaced the woman with a man showing his knob off, would we still want it there? Doubt it. Most men aren't opposed to it because, "hey, it's breasts." Is there any point in massaging the abs anyway? Isn't the whole point of a massage to release tension in certain zones, such as the shoulders, head, back, etc? Getting your stomach massaged seems odd to me, and I'm pretty sure it would just make me want to run off to the loo half-way through.
  5. Do you do it when it's just reached the sell-by date/use-by date or do you just wait for it to get mouldy? We've got some strawberries in the fridge that went off on the 13th. They appear to be ok, but how can you be sure? inB4 food poisoning.
  6. Jean Claude Van DAMMMMMN this is awesome.
  7. I lost it at the combination of his voice and PRISON *whip*. Roared out loud. ROL. Did you get a Macbook for dem garageband gains, brah?
  8. Re-arrange them so that they all are on the same date and watch the hilarity ensue. It would be like that scene in Mrs. Doubtfire where Robin Williams is switching back and forth in the restaurant. Only sexier.
  9. Wait, Ashley has more than one date at one time? Are you allowed to do that? I thought there were rules about this kinda shit. Dayyyym. Does this make him a filthy ho-bag?
  10. I'm just going to leave this here. My favourite part of all tiem is the shouty punk guy, "WOW NICE GRAPHICS, etc".
  11. I luv dat conversation, 5eva. (dat mean moar dan 4eva).
  12. I read about this yesterday. Absolute bollocks, it is. So, this means that the only few football matches on terrestrial will be FA Cup games? Maybe the odd League Cup game, too?
  13. YESSSSSSS! I have no nails left. By far our best defensive performance of the season. Rooney was immense today, he did everything but score. He's tied with Phil Jones for my match of the match, who played really, really well in two different positions. We need to play like this more often, especially with how we closed players down and didn't give them time on the ball. I said earlier my head said Arsenal would win this 3-1, but my heart said United would win it 2-0. The heart rules the head today, just about. Sagna's second half crossing was fantastic. I swore when that final cross in injury time came in, because I was sure somebody would have toe-poked it in.
  14. Well done, Newcastle. Two big victories in a row. Whatever I said goes out of the window today. We need our biggest performance of the season if we still want that title. CMAAAAAAAANNNN!
  15. I'm on a massive music binge at the moment and have got back into playing guitar and bass, so I'm really interested in this. How much? What do I do to get this, download from eShop, yes? Will there be expansions in the future for new sounds? Is it very limited?
  16. Pretty much this. Whether we like to admit it or not, Nintendo have changed. Newtendo. They have a particular style, especially with their Mario games, they have a certain look and feel. Every since New Super and Galaxy, their games have been similar in how they look and play. They look "clean" and usually have one or two new features to separate it from the previous edition, but I can't see them creating huge differences in length or style between their games, like the difference between Mario Bros. 1 and 2, for example. I think somebody recently mentioned that they've modelled themselves on Apple. I'd agree with that, but I'd also argue that they've perhaps gone a bit too far and have somehow lost what Nintendo originally was about, which was making games for gamers. I'm all for making games available for everyone, but they've lost a significant amount of their core audience by doing this. This sort of stuff could be solved with difficulty settings in games. Why not include that? Instead of making it "easy" for everyone. (I know that newcomers will find it hard for them, but what about the ones who have been there since the beginning?)
  17. Seriously, I'm usually confident and up for it every time we play Arsenal. This is the only time that I can remember a game coming up where I didn't feel confident. There's just too many things going against us. Fellaini has come in and hasn't done particularly well, Van Persie hasn't played great this season and our central defence (and central midfield) has been awful so far. I just look at how we've played, especially in the big games, and I can't see us coping with Arsenal in midfield. City ran rings around us. We need the biggest performance of our season and I'm not sure if there's enough bite in us to do it. The only two players who have played with any balls for us have been Rooney and Januzaj (and at a push, Rafael and Jones). Too many of our players are coasting. We're stuck in first gear. We'll probably go 4-2-3-1 with Rooney just behind Van Persie. De Gea in goal. Rafael will probably not be fit, so I imagine we'll go with Evra - Ferdinand - Vidic - Smalling. Midfield will most likely be Carrick Cleverley Valencia and...I imagine we'll play Giggs as it's a big game. Fellaini had a torrid time in our last massive game against City and got sent off in midweek so I doubt he'll start. Wouldn't surprise me if he did, though. Essentially it's 4-4-2 with Rooney doing two jobs because he can, dropping deep but getting up to support Van Persie. If Ferdinand doesn't play, Jones will go centre-back.
  18. For the first time in ages, I'm not looking forward to this game. We'll be lucky to get a draw. My head says that Arsenal will win 3-1. My heart says that United will put in a big shift (the type that we haven't put in against City, Chelsea or Liverpool) and win 2-0. My body is most certainly not ready. The only thing that could go in our favour is that Arsenal might be tired from exerting themselves against Dortmund in midweek, whereas we had a chance to rest one or two players. But, Arsenal won that game, and when you're winning and playing well you don't feel tiredness or strain.
  19. Ref couldn't have got a better view than what he had. Ramires runs into him and falls over...
  20. Ramires doing a lovely Robert Pires impression there to keep Jose's record. So, Ashley Young in midweek and Ramires today. I loathe this type of easy-to-go-down footballer that seems to exist these days. It's cheating.
  21. I have mixed feelings after that game. We didn't lose, and we got a point. However, we should have got all 3. Hernandez and Van Persie's misses...gah. Both should have been goals. We played better with Kagawa behind Van Persie, much better. Defensively, fine for the most part. I don't think we were ever in danger of losing it. But, fuck, some of our approach play (particularly in the first half) is garbage. Dire. Second half was better with Kagawa in the middle, but even then, we don't create enough. Also, Ashley Young: He dived, again. Bit annoyed about Fellaini. Probably his best game for us, so far. First yellow shouldn't have been a yellow, but he also made lots of niggling fouls, so I guess it was a bit daft for him to make a challenge like that. He looked better, but I'm still not sure exactly what he offers. He isn't "the answer" to what we need.
  22. I had a feeling that Agger would be quicker than Toure, so it's a shame he didn't play. Either way, for a free signing, Toure has done well. A bit disappointed with the Everton/Spurs game. Spurs fans, what do you make of AVB's formations? I'd be a bit pissed if we played 1 up top every game. He doesn't seem to have a plan B.
  23. Seriously, fuuuuuck people. I went outside this afternoon to go food shopping and noticed that my passenger side wing mirror has been completely torn off. It couldn't have been knocked off as I tuck my mirrors in and there's wires hanging out, etc. It's the side facing the curb. It's the second time this has happened to me on the same street but with a different car. So many fucking twats in this country who just do things without thinking about others or the consequences. Would love to teach this bastard a lesson.
  24. I'm surprised Toure started that game ahead of Agger. Was Agger carrying an injury? Big game between Everton and Spurs today. Would love it if Lukaku banged in a few goals. 2-1 to Everton for me. Lukaku and Osman to get the goals.
