The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Fierce_LiNk replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
We say this, but it was exactly the same a decade ago. It was the same in the Wii era, it was the same in the GameCube era. Probably the same in the N64 era, too. I can't comment on the SNES era or before that, but the internet has given a platform for many to express their views such as this. We say that it's getting worse, but it's pretty much the same. There's just more exposure and more places where people can air their thoughts like that. Years ago it was on forums, before that it was magazines, and before that it was in the playground with your friends or kids in school. Now, it's all of the above, plus youtube, plus website comment sections, plus facebook, plus twitter. -
A lifetime in prison is not leniency. Nowhere near. If he were to be given probation and tagged, that would be lunacy and leniency. If he were given a 10 year sentence, which is less than both of the mothers, then that would be lenient and very wrong. If he were given a suspended sentence or placed under house arrest, that would also be wrong. Given a 35 year sentence is not leniency in the slightest and I can't argue against it. He got what he deserved in accordance with the laws he broke. He won't be given an easy time in prison because it's very, very well documented that child molesters, child rapists and child killer are amongst the lowest of the low in prison. They are the ones most looked down upon and he will have to watch his back for every single second that he spends in there. He won't be given easy treatment. The fact that this trial was very high profile, as well as his status, means that he has nowhere to hide. He got what he deserved. Giving him death would be an easy way out and would give him no time to dwell on the atrocities that he has committed. In prison, he will have nothing to do but think on this. He may be "joking" about this right now, but in the long-run it is the harshest thing he'll have to endure, especially given the lifestyle he was leading before this. It'll break him.

I recommend Disneyland Paris as a good meeting up spot for you to satisfy your "needs".

Of course. Like I said, that's also potentially another huge debate in itself: Should we have the ability to carry out the death sentence in this country? In my opinion, currently, I would say no. I also don't think it would act as a deterrent for people like Watkins to not commit these crimes in the first place. Judging from what has been reported so far, he had a number of other twisted fantasies. It doesn't give you the impression that he gave a shit about the outcome of it all, or how he was ruining people's lives. Partly surprised that he didn't play the insanity or "mentally ill" card to go for a lighter sentence.

Pretty much agree with this. I want to know that Nintendo are going all out to make this one the best one yet, rather than it being Wii+7 in HD.

He hasn't shown remorse, I agree with that. He is a disgusting human being, I agree with that, too. He probably would have continued to do this if he had not been caught. Therefore, he should be given the maximum punishment for this sort of crime which our legal system permits. If the law was changed and we introduced the death penalty, we could then discuss whether or not it should be a done thing. But, right now, it's completely out of the question. We don't do that in this country, neither do I believe we should do it. Either way, the "logical thing" and the done thing here is that we/he follows through with the legal process and he reaches an already predetermined outcome if guilty: Imprisonment. For what would almost be the rest of his life. He's not going to be a danger to the public, nor to children any more.

It sounded like a good comeback. Spurs took off Adebayor and then almost immediately conceded two goals. They should have got the second before they went and removed one of their strikers, bit of an amateurish move. I thought we played pretty well last night. Second clean sheet in a row. Defensively, we looked really solid. Our back give should be De Gea, Evra, Rafael for certain, and then either Evans-Jones or Evans-Smalling. It's strange, but we actually look weaker now when we play Ferdinand or Vidic. Evans should be starting every game and preferably Jones as his partner. Cleverley actually looked pretty good yesterday, as he did against Villa. He looked like a proper box-to-box player, attacked well, defended well. He's just so inconsistent and I think that'll break it for him at United. Not sure he has it in him to do it week in week out.

Shit brah, 7 percent is insane. You're like a more extreme version of me before I went to Uni, I think I went in at around 9 stone. Enjoy the eating, it's almost the most important part. I remember when I "discovered" chicken and the weight just piled on. Feelsgoodman.jpeg. Weights are so fun. It's at the point now where I miss it when I don't do it. Can't really understand how some think of it as a chore. It's such a good feeling if you're doing it right. Dat pump.

I wish I could thank this post more. He shouldn't get the death penalty because that isn't in accordance with the law. This is what happens when you bring children into cases such as this, people get very emotional and essentially "lose it", like you said. The law is there for a reason and this is his way of being brought to justice. It's not exactly a lenient sentence, I do think the punishment fits the crime. The only thing I will contest is the amount of time given to both of the mothers. In my opinion, they should have got an even harsher sentence for not only allowing Ian Watkins to do this stuff, but also encouraging it. It's almost worse what they did as they were the parents of the children and were in a position of responsibility, which they abused dramatically.

Nintendo Direct 18th December - Wii U & 3DS Spring 2014 Titles
Fierce_LiNk replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
That's EXACTLY what Rosalina is like. Or, your very hot friend you met at a party once. I'm not sure too much Rosalina is a bad thing, y'know. -
There was a bluddy brilliant quote on Odwin's facebook wall about that. From a police officer, something along the lines of: "He had 27TB of storage, so it was obvious it was filled with illegal stuff." Bwahahahahahaha. Can you imagine getting filthy looks in PC World when you put that on the counter? 3TB? Fucking rapist.

I've just had a go on this for the first time. Tennis is awesome. THE FEELS. I remember getting my Wii and playing this. :'( I'm tempted to choose an obscure club like...Azerbaijan. I will be their number one tennis player. No, wait. FIJI.

I was excited about this, until I saw the price. Day before my birthday, as well. Make it under a 10 and we have a deal. £9.99 is perfect for this.

Nintendo Direct 18th December - Wii U & 3DS Spring 2014 Titles

When they did the Rosalina reveal for Smash, I died a little inside when Kirby appeared on the screen. Exact words were, "Fuck off, Kirby!" Seems to be everywhere at the moment. He's a bit like the relative you haven't visited for a long time, so you see him very often in a short space of time so that they know you haven't forgot about them. -
I do love this system, but...fuaaaaark! The updates/downloads are so infuriating. I downloaded Wii Fit U yesterday. Took about an hour and a half. Then, there was an update for that. Wii Sports is already there (silent download) and now I'm downloading an update for that, too. So many updates. I just want to play some games.

Would have fun with her star bits, nomsayin'?

Yeah, I bet that figure is off. Has to be, that's insane. He is reported as being extremely obsessive...so it's not beyond the realms of possibility. Sick fuck. I'm amazed that he managed to get away with this for so long, and that he managed to hide it from his friends and family. Terrific liar.

That's quite a lot of gyms, brah. Finding the right one can be tough, though. Especially when you've got to factor in commutes to work, how easy it is to get to it, etc. That was why I had to go home gym in the end. I'd definitely look into bodyweight exercises as an accessory to this. Then you can at least do things at home whilst you're in between gyms.

The weather in our game against Stoke is shiiiiiiiit. Play has been suspended. It was pretty rough, so not surprised that it's been stopped. Will be difficult to play a game, let alone win it in these conditions.

What you did there. I see it.

They did have Sheikah in the video at various points, so I think it might be hinted at. Maybe. The idea of it could work. The execution is where I'm worried it'll be let down. I can see this type of thing becoming repetitive very quickly. Although, the possibility of being able to add your scores onto MiiVerse or something, that would be nice.

The singer from the Lost Prophets is given 35 Years for his crimes. What makes it worse is the lack of remorse over the crime. He made a phone call to a friend whilst in prison calling the situation "mega lolz". "Discussing his possible sentence, he added: "I'm going to put a statement on [December] 18th now just to say it was megalolz, I don't know what everyone is getting so freaked out about."

"Affluenza" - the get out of jail free card for rich kids
Fierce_LiNk replied to MoogleViper's topic in General Chit Chat
Justice isn't about "throwing somebody to the dogs" though, is it? It's not about that. It's about the boy taking some sort of responsibility for his actions. In this case, he would be doing that by going to prison and serving the time that he is due. He's committed a crime, a serious one: Four people lost their lives. They can't have their lives back. He still has his and, from what we've read, he can almost do whatever the fuck he likes. That's not justice. -
Is this the first time we've seen bikes in this game? I'm not a fan of them, they were partly the reason why I disliked the Wii version. In general, the game looks lovely. I'd love it if Nintendo crammed it with content a la Smash Bros. I'm worried it'll be bare bones.

You spend more time looking for gyms than you do in them/lifting. You could always do some bodyweight exercises at home. Dips, press-ups, bodyweight/one-legged squats, pullups (if you can). There's no real getting out of the induction move either, most places insist on it now. Pain in the arse. I'm still taking it easy with the wrist issue. It only seems to hurt/feel awkward on barbell rows and bicep curls. I've not done any serious weights for weeks, taking it easy and giving it time to recover. Also, done so much travelling the last few weeks and had a lot on in work, so I'm just enjoying the chill out time.
