So, Herrera is going to be out for a few weeks. Just beautiful. He's looked great so far and we need him to be playing every game for us. Ruined my day that has.

I really wish that I was a student again or in school because I would hammer that shit into this game. I've not even made my pro yet, I've not touched Ultimate Team, I'm still doing my own tournament (Premier League) and plugging away on that. I love it. I tell you what, those skill games between matches are fucking addictive! My PS4 is in overdrive at the moment...I've got this and Destiny on the go, as well as Injustice. Alien and Drive Club are out soon, too. Ahhhhhhh! How did I go from the WiiU to this?

I'm finding the goalkeepers fine. If anything, they're too good at times. A tad overpowered. I'm struggling to create chances. I get to the edge of their box and they go into defensive mode, big time. Then, they try and counter. Whoever said that there's no midfield battles in this is wrong, I'm finding that the midfields matter a lot!

I'll give that a try, thanks! Fuck, it was difficult trying to do even the simple things on manual. Passing a ball a few metres would result in it either being overhit or underhit, or missing the intended player. It was definitely an eye-opener and I can see how it would be rewarding in the end when you do eventually get the hang of it.

I've still got to make my pro. Do enough of us have the game yet to start the team up and make it worthwhile? How many do we have so far? So far: Myself Esequiel lostmario Dazzybee MadDog Hero-of-Time, I think?

Sorry for not accepting your games yesterday, I was doing a tournament (Premier League) and wanted to play a few games until bed. What I actually ended up doing was going to sleep at 4...fucking addictive. I've switched it back to default now. It was really fucking difficult! So much effort to make a simple pass. Very rewarding to score a goal, insanely rewarding. But, simply too hard and less fun in the long term. For tactical defending, I don't actually know what I do, I just do it as if I were playing in real life or watching a game. I do this and I find that it works well, especially when stopping playing crossing the ball in or shooting from distance. But, beware, when one player leaves their position, a gap will open and the harder CPU will work that out and go through that space. You just need to be patient really and not just go after the ball. Sometimes holding your position helps and player will run out of options, allowing you to easily intercept the ball. One thing I'm finding quite difficult is that it's hard to break the opposition defence down, especially if they go 1-0 up. The game is awesome though and I love seeing how the game alters depending on who scores. Once I go 1-0 up, it's easier to then get a second or third because they go forward much more. Very awesome and realistic.

Didn't you get humped last week by West Ham, who we beat today? Anyway, we're in a similar boat in that we both have a ton of players that need to be bed in. That and our fucking injuries (Herrera today, yay) which is taking the piss. Medical staff/coaching staff are clearly doing something wrong with all of these players that can't play. I also watched both derbies today. Everton were awfuuuuuul and Barry should have walked within the first 10 minutes. Liverpool should have had a penalty, too. Standard of refereeing in that match was dire. Lovely equaliser though, cracking shot and very dramatic.

Everyone, tell me moar about DriveClub.

Just a question: What settings are you guys playing on in terms of control? I've got Auto Switching: Manual Auto switching move assistance: None Passing Power Assistance: Off Pass Assistance: Manual Through ball assistance: Manual Shot assistance: Manual Cross assistance: Manual Lob pass assistance: Manual Save assistance: Assisted Analog Sprint: On Defending: Tactical defending I've never paid any attention to the settings before and usually just play on the default settings. I've put everything to manual and it's fucking hard.

Wayne Rooney is a prick. A great footballer, but a definite prick. I hope Van Gaal sees him for who he is now and gives the captaincy to somebody else. He can't be trusted. We saw both sides of him today. The great goal, good performance, but then the petulance and stupidity. Got a feeling that we'll draw now.

I'm in love with this so far. It's really fun. It's awesome having so many stadiums to choose from. Money well spent.

What exactly is the Playstation Plus Edition Upgrade for the game? I've read up on it and it basically seems like this: - Download the PS+ edition of the game and get one area and a few cars. (a "demo" type version of the game) - If you like the game, get the PS+ upgrade for £35 digitally - Dats eet. Is that really it? If so, 35 is a fucking steal for a brand new game digitally...am I missing one crucial element here?

We are going to draw a line underneath all of that and move on. It's boring, it's petty and it's so far off topic that it may as well be about the mating dance of a gazelle. Let's cut the bollocks out and just talk about the WiiU stuff in here. No petty swipes at other members, no digs, none of that.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already or not, but the music in this game is fantastic. There's this one piece that plays when you're in orbit that is just fantastic. Classic science fiction. I'm really enjoying it, still. I'm only level 14, so still slowly plowing away.

I know, I wanted the game but the price also seems to be very high for it. I went through a phase where I would look for a good deal for the game and it just didn't seem to fall under the 30 quid category. I've missed the boat on that one, tbh. A bit of a shame, but it's more of a game that I thought would be "nice" to play rather than one that I had desperately wanted to play.

I'm up for it. You fancy joining the N-E league? It should be a great laugh. I've already planned how Fifa is going to work with my lifestyle. It's going to be the type of game that I sneak in for a 30 minutes or so here and there. It's commitment-free to that extent. Up early on Saturday morning? Sneak in a bit of Fifa. Have a bit of time to spare before Match of the Day? Fifa. Want to play a game before tea? Feefuhhhhhh. It's the perfect game to get digital, tbh. If the digital prices were a tenner/fifteen quid cheaper, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

My order with Tesco is "ready to dispatch", so I hope to god that it gets here on Friday or Saturday. Hnnnnnnnnnnnng. Can't wait. I'm going to rectify yesterday's scoreline and will absolutely pummel Leicester City at their own stadium.

Whilst I agree with what you're saying, Lego City is an extreme example. I made the mistake of trying this game out on a demo booth (think it was a gamestore in Belgium...Antwerp, I think) and it actually put me off the game. By the time the game came on, I had lost interest.

I have no idea if the remastered contains more tracks or not. Left Behind has its own soundtrack and that was released in 2014. I love both, but then I am a fan of the sombre stuff and like a bit of variety. I can imagine the soundtrack fitting really well when you're driving in the dark and the rain.

He wanted Hummells in the summer but Dortmund wouldn't let him go, at least not for cheap. Benatia went to Bayern. They were the top two targets. It all hinged on the system. He wanted to play 4-3-3 to start off with but couldn't because of the midfield. So, bringing Herrera in was a way to go about readdressing that. There's not one area of the team that needed working on in isolation, the entirety of it needed changing. The only two spaces that didn't really need an awful lot of touching were in goal and up front. The defence was shit, Evra was aging, the central midfield was bad and the wingers were poor...namely Valencia and Nani. Young could occasionally do alright and looked quite decent in preseason. We had four strikers, but one was never being played (Hernandez) and one did quite well but didn't put away enough chances or was ruthless enough (Welbeck) The midfield and wingers look better now. Shaw and Rojo have also come into the team and they will strengthen the defence, so he has addressed it to some extent. We're missing a commanding centre-back in the ilk of Vidic or Stam and it's probably high on the list of priorities. I can forgive him for not buying one because: 1. He did go after targets, so was looking. 2. It's one of about 5 areas that needed sorting. 3. We had options already at the club who did deserve a chance. Evans deserves his chance as a first choice centre-back, as does Jones and Smalling. Jones was touted as a future captain and needed to have time in his preferred position. It reminds me of the situation when Pique was the club. He didn't get a look in because Vidic and Rio were there, so had to leave to get football elsewhere. Now that they've gone, it is up to one of those three (four if you count Blackett) to come in and take their chance. At the moment, none of them are proving that they are capable of it, so it wouldn't surprise me if somebody does come in next summer.

Shit defending, like I said. However, you're talking about one event in isolation which you certainly cannot do in football. It doesn't work that way. It's not one event but rather a combination of events. Like I have already said, De Laet should have been sent off when the score was 2-1. So, that affects things. He should also have been sent off before the game turned to 3-1, so that changes things again. He is the player who ASSISTS the fourth goal. Tell me, if a player is sent off, can he assist a goal, a winning goal? Obviously not. So, the fact is that we should have been 3-1 up with eleven players versus their ten. The referee doesn't make one bad call in isolation, he actually makes numerous bad calls. The defending was bad, like I already said. But, we were 3-1 up at that point and my point is that the penalty should never have been given and he has then given them the platform to get something out of a game where they were losing. There's hard work and dedication and I commend Leicester for that. But, by not sending a player off and by giving a penalty that is not a penalty, he makes it much easier for them than what should have been in reality. Goals 3, 4 and 5 would not exist if the referee had done his job properly. That being said, we already know that the defence is bad. I hope that Luke Shaw starts the next game and Rojo moves to centre-back. He's ok at left back but I think he plays better at centre-half. Who partners him is a proper fucking mess. That's another thing, if the penalty isn't given, then we don't go 4-3 down and Blackett doesn't get sent off, which impacts on the next game. Smalling will probably play now, I expect. You are wrong on this one. If you watched many of our games last season, you will notice that nothing EVER happened. Even in this game, we still created loads of chances and looked dangerous going forward. At least that's something that we have now. We are miles better creatively than last season. We are defensively worse due to Vidic, Rio and Evra going, as well as injuries to certain players. Evans, Smalling and Jones spend too much time out injured, Shaw hasn't started yet due to not being fully fit and Rojo has only just started playing due to his visa issues. Also, it's worth noting that De Gea played out of his skin last season to keep certain score-lines respectable, even when we were already losing. Even the signing of Herrera has improved things. He was a bright spark today and he was somebody that Moyes passed up on in favour of Fellaini. LVG may have left certain places in bad terms, but he has also done a lot of good in those places which is often overlooked. The attacking players that he has brought in are of a high quality and not only improve United, they improve the league as a brand. Defensively is where we fall short and many of us expected that already. The other side of the coin is that Smalling, Blackett and Jones are all English, so if you don't give them game-time, you bring trouble on yourself for not giving young English players a chance.

What's the worst game you own?
Fierce_LiNk replied to nekunando's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I've just remember another abomination that should belong in this thread. Pokemon fucking Colosseum. It suddenly entered my mind again today and I realised just how gutted I felt that I had spent close to full price on that. By quite some distance, the worst GameCube game that I own. -
Thank you for that Captain Obvious. The goals that they conceded were poor, but that doesn't change the fact that the referee made a huge mess of things. We were 3-1 up and no amount of defending or team work will prevent a referee from giving a shit decision. The more I see of it, the more I can't believe he gave them the penalty. I'm also now annoyed that Blackett won't be available for our next game. Would rather he started when he's looked decent compared to Smalling, Evans and Jones. Anyway, well done, Leicester. I should point out that I did mention earlier that they played well. Won't be a surprise if they finish in the top 12 this season.
