Honestly...I don't know. I'm not really a fan of difficult games. I'm willing to give a lot of things a try, which is what has seen me progress with this game. But, by all rights, I shouldn't like this game. @Hero\-of\-Time posted a podcast the other day where the guy said the EXACT same things that I was feeling. Something happens after that first boss fight where you start to feel your way into the world. The annoying things which would PISS YOU OFF in any other game somehow don't annoy you here. The expectations change. I expect to die. I expect to find it hard. But, I also know that I'll persevere and eventually I'll figure out what I need to do. Everything in this game has a pattern, every enemy, every room, it's basically like one giant maze that you just have to find your way through. When I started playing this game, I loathed it. I hated it. I have only once traded in a game and that was a Pokemon game so I could get Twisted Edge Snowboarding in return. And that was only because I had finished Pokemon and wanted something else. I regret it still. I came this close to going back to the store the next day to trade it for something else, which tells you how badly I thought of this game. At the moment, this game is probably my favourite game of this year and it's up there with Alien Isolation and The Last of Us as some of my favourite experiences I've had with the PS4. There's something distinctly oldschool about this game. I constantly feel like I have to be on alert and pay attention, because there might be a shortcut I can unlock which will save me precious time later, or there's a dangerous enemy that will kill me in one or two hits, or I may find an item which I can use later. The relief that I got in Alien Isolation when I found a save point is exactly the same in here when I find a lamp (warp point) or a short cut. There's just something there that makes it enjoyable, but I can't say what it really is.

I could almost cry right now at how bad XDP have been trying to deliver an elliptical trainer to our flat. Everything was fine ordering the item, but as soon as the item has arrived at their depot it has been one joke after another. Apparently they attempted delivery on the 8th. By attempted, they claimed that they couldn't find our flat...which is clearly signposted outside our building. They've claimed that they've left a card stating delivery was unable to commence...how can you do that if you can't find our flat, arsehole? Their customer service is a joke. They have the one solitary phone number that you ring but there's nobody there to answer. You go through a pattern of ringing, going through an automated service, not getting through, voicemail, back to automated service, etc. It has taken me around 40 minutes to an hour and a half each time I've tried to contact them. I've contacted the original supplier and they've not really been useful either. We were told on Friday by XDP that the item would be rescheduled for Monday. Fine, some joy at last. Nah. The item apparently got sent out at today at 8, scheduled for a delivery between 2 and 5pm...but it actually got sent back to the depot at 11 and is now in transit back to the supplier because it's been sent out for delivery already. Yes. They sent it out for delivery...then changed their mind when it was actually out there and sent it back. I've never known that to happen. Ine and I are currently emailing everybody involved and we're hoping to sort it out soon, but what a clusterfuck. Worse than CityLink. Any of you guys had any terrible experiences?

Ahh, Journey will be here soon they said. Still waiting.

Aguero did his bit and Milner started off well before deciding that he'd worked quite hard enough for the first 15 minutes. I didn't understand City's tactics. They had it correct in the first few minutes by pressing Carrick and Herrera (our two best passers) before dropping off. They gave Herrera so much space after that. I was very surprised at how much space we were given after getting the game back to 1-1 and I was also surprised at just how mentally fragile City were at going behind. On the other hand, I'm pleased with how we responded after going behind. We didn't play too badly either at the Etihad, but this was a clear improvement in every single way. The quality of the football is better and I was critical over Van Gaal for not playing attacking football a few games back, but thankfully this looks to be going the right way.

I love the shit he comes out with. But yes, I hate that type of stuff and it shouldn't be happening. I imagine it'll be a fine. Beating Chelsea at their ground is going to be a huge challenge. I can see us getting a point, which would make me very happy. They'll up their game though and Jose will drill them right down to the last detail. Think we'll end up losing it 1-0 or 2-1, but either way it'll be close. It wasn't just Yaya, but he set a really poor example to the rest of his team mates. He's a big earner, he was a captain in the second half and he is one of the most experienced players (certainly in midfield) that they had on the pitch yesterday. I can't remember him winning a single dual with Fellaini and there were too many occasions where he just let him go or let him drift into space. He's paid to perform in these sorts of games and he didn't yesterday. He's not the reason why they lost the match, but he's a part of that process.

But who was camera?

This game is £5.79 in the Easter Sale. Should I go for it bearing in mind: 1. I've never played an MGS before. 2. It's been out a while...could be a contender for Plus pretty soon? What do you think?

I feared for us in the few minutes because City were all over us. Somehow, we scored and then scored again. Fellaini bossed the game and walked all over Yaya. I remember his first derby last season against City away and he was awful. In fact, the entire team were that day. But, they've improved massively and some of the teamwork today was just excellent to watch. Blind and Valencia looked great without the ball and Young was pretty much everywhere (as was Fellaini) Great game, very exciting and of course the right result! He's winning the fans around now because he's putting players in the right positions and he's rewarding those who are doing well with a good run in the squad. Young, Mata, Fellaini and Herrera (probably Carrick and Blind, too) are all undroppable due to their form. They're putting in the performances and scoring goals. It's going to make it hard for someone like Di Maria to get a look in unless he improves his form. Delighted.

@Eenuh was just about to start the game. In fact, she booted it up when I shouted noooo, we're going to do it in co-op, haha. So, we've got that to look forward to. With regards to DriveClub: Yes, it is hard, but you will get better at it. You'll need to brake more often than you probably would with other racers and it does require you to be constantly thinking. I love it though and I can say that I've definitely had a great time with it. You can change the settings for individual races, but not for tours (which makes sense). So, for an individual race, you could keep it as day (turn the transition time right down) and keep it to dry if you wanted. Personally, I love starting off at night and it turning to day and vice versa, it makes the game fun. The AI can be punishing at times, but you'll get better and it'll make you a better driver for it.

Game looks absolutely unreal. I literally just did a little inner sigh of happiness when I realised that it's just over a month away. Who else is getting this? Hnnnnnnggggggggg

Is that all legal to do? Can you get into any kind of trouble for doing it or is it something that they're relaxed about?

Uncharted Remastered Trilogy (Unconfirmed)
Fierce_LiNk replied to Happenstance's topic in Other Consoles
Batman is a bit of both. He's a brawler, a genius and a detective all in one. I found Arkham City claustrophobic at times. One moment you're flinging across the city, but then the next you're in an alleyway fighting enemies from all sides or are inside a building sneaking up on your prey. I thought it had a great mixture of everything. For me, they got all of the components right. I need to play Asylum, too, though. Not too fussed about Origins as I hear it's hit and miss. -
D'oh, didn't see that. @Sheikah mentioned something about that on the previous page. I've known of others to have US digital games using a US PSN, but I've never done it myself. He's probably got the correct info for you.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I quite enjoyed the story in the end and overall it turned out to be one of my most memorable games for a very long time. Never attempted the multiplayer. The weapons are just so extremely satisfying to use.

@Goron_3, you can download the digital version of The Last of Us for £9.29. Also, I'd strongly, STRONGLY advise you to think about getting another HDD now before you do anything else. Upgrade to a 2TB one straight away, then you've not got to go through the hassle of doing it later and transferring stuff across.

I had another good night on this and...

Ahhh, I managed to figure out what I needed to do.

Things that clients say when they don't want to pay for Creative work.

Yeah, it's much easier to just go to the Playstation Store on your phone or laptop and download them from there. I also download the PS3 and Vita games on the off-chance I ever get one of those. Currently, I have moarrr PS3 games than I do on the WiiU and I don't even own the system.

I've heard people say that the woods is a bitch to navigate and they're right.

Haha, couldn't resist. I imagine you'll be the type of person who would enjoy something like Transistor. That's definitely worth giving a go. MORTAL KOMBAT?

Uncharted Remastered Trilogy (Unconfirmed)

I think I'd enjoy it more now if I went back to it after playing Shadow of Mordor. I liked the combat in Arkham City but I struggled at times and it didn't really click for me in a lot of ways. Shadow of Mordor had an almost identical system and I pretty much mastered it, so I'd like to go back to it. Can't wait to play Asylum for the first time when that comes out. I'm going to go through all three and I'll love every second of it. -
I've had an excellent day on this.
