  1. I've had a fuck of a week. It's been constant phone calls and emails back and forth. Monday was a huge cock up on their behalf and I received a phone call on Tuesday. They (the supplier) rang me, then rang XDP, then me again, then they emailed. All on Tuesday. The gist of it was that we either get a refund or they send it out again. I said we'd decide when they receive the product and we'll see when they can send it back to us (because they can't send it back to us until they've received it there first...just urgh) I got a phone call on Wednesday morning asking me if we'd like to send it back here. I asked when we'd receive it and they said within 10 days. I made it clear that this wasn't good enough as we have work and the only possible day they can deliver it after next week is...Friday. Not even this Friday coming (after today, I mean) but Friday the next week, as Ine is in Belgium. They said ok, we'll see what we can do. I got a phone call back within five minutes promising Saturday delivery before 1 AND free installation. It arrived today with no issues (they had NO trouble whatsoever finding the flat, probably because Ine basically gave them a diagram of where it was: peace:) and the cross trainer is excellent. The actual supplier person we've been in contact with this week (from Monday onwards) has been great and the people who brought it around earlier were lovely. So, I guess that's something. A happy ending to this...eventually. But, my God, what a headache leading up to that.
  2. Fuuuuuuuuu.
  3. It's exciting. Do you reckon you'll do it? I could see Hull or Sunderland dropping down as they've both been awful this season. I think Villa are safe, ready to shower us all in a load of shit again next season.
  4. Which area you in now?
  5. I thought we played well all things considering and were unlucky not to get at least a point. Definite improvement since the start of this and last season; the midfield is coming along nicely. Shocked that we had something like 70% possession, would've expected Chelsea to have a proper go at us considering we had key players out.
  6. I'd go for the 2TB option. You're going to want that space.
  7. I'm the opposite and am relieved that they didn't include any/many bosses in this. They were crap in Skyward Sword, but I can sorta see the point in Zelda games. You've got a dungeon, the boss guards the dungeon, defeat the boss to clear the area. In general, I find bosses formulaic, especially in Zelda. Hit the boss with new weapon acquired in dungeon til stunned/wounded, slash with sword, do this three times to kill it. It's not challenging, but I can see the spectacle of it, like the spinner boss in Twilight Princess, which was awesome. I don't think they work in Tomb Raider or The Last of Us because the mechanics of the game aren't the same, especially in TLoU where the game is split into chapters and...isn't really about clearing an area, so to speak. I think they'd feel very out of place, especially with the real world settings that they're both aiming for. Tomb Raider could possibly get away with it if it's in a "go to this tomb, find the treasure, boss is guarding it, kill it to get treasure" kinda thing, but I'm glad with how it worked out. There's something about boss fights to me that suddenly make you re-aware that you're within a game. For me, they can kill the experience a little, unless they're done really, really well. Mother Brain in Super Metroid, the Metroid Prime, Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time, etc.
  8. Cheers, brooo. I've put the rest of the images from the trailer in spoiler tags, just in case. Affleck looks fucking awesome as Batman. The clincher will be what kind of Bruce Wayne he turns out to be. I wasn't sold on Bale as Bruce Wayne until I went back to the films some time after TDK was released. I think he did a lot of things right, even if he did have to grow on me.
  9. It might be worth spoiler tagging the gifs and images, people. Just in case there are some that want to talk about the film but are purposefully staying away from trailers. I tried staying away but GOD DAMMIT.
  10. I LOVE how that final line is delivered. Batsuit looks gorgeous. Hnnnnnnnggggg
  11. Really, must we carry on? Ultimately, we'll need to stop at some point. Maybe. Maybe it can go on for a bit longer. Yes. An acrostic poem for our new overload, Lord @Rummy.
  12. Ahh, are you sure that @Rummy has gone there? Wait a second, I remember something about a Zelda Concert mini-meet.
  13. @Rummy, come and see what Wii just made.
  14. That's pretty much it. In trying to solve that issue, they dismantled what should have been a good English midfield and created more problems. Gutted we're not going to have Carrick or Blind for the Chelsea game. Fellaini has been used well in an attacking role, I just wonder if Van Gaal will put him in the defensive mid position, with Herrera alongside him to help out and then one of Mata or Di Maria (Mata in current form, plus he was awesome defensively as well as in attack against City and Pool) in front of those two.
  15. I'll probably wait, but I'm not one to trade in games. It's nice to have things digital these days, no disc swapping.
  16. The trailer was good, but it would have been nice to have seen some gameplay. I can forgive it though because it sorta shows you the things that can happen and are possible in this game. It's going to be excellent, hopefully.
  17. I want this but...it's going to be hard when The Witcher is out at the same time. Mortal Kombat also looks like the fighter to play, too.
  18. Hargreaves was immense when he first joined but he was made out of paper. Very versatile, too. Carrick's always been rated by United fans but he doesn't really work with how the England team want to play, at least not for the last decade. He'd fit in the current team better, but he was never going to get in when it was all about Lampard and Gerrard, at least not with the managers we've had. I was watching Napoli play Wolfsburg yesterday and did think quite a few times that this is his style of football. Should have been born an Italian. Blind's arguably just as big a loss because he's been pretty good for us all season. He's done better than Shaw at left back, he's looked great at centre mid and he could have covered centre back for Jones instead of Evans. Losing Rojo, Jones AND Carrick at the same time shows you how important it can be to have a versatile player who can fill in the gaps. Edit: WAIT. Evans is suspended...so...McNair? Is that better? I don't even-
  19. Aw maaane, Blind, Carrick, Jones and Rojo are all injured for the Chelsea game. Blind and Carrick in particular are vital. Looks like Shaw will be at left back (provided he's fit)...shit, Jonny Evans will be playing now.
  20. Where are people going to pre-order from? I've noticed that it's £46.99 on PSN. Tempted to go for that unless I can get it for much cheaper. Anybody going digital for this?
  21. Just watched it twice. Hnnnnnngggggg. Put me in the "so excited he might be sick" camp. The tone of it looks spot on to me.
  22. In fairness, it does look pretty cool. My initial reaction isn't that of enthusiasm because...I feel like the wave for this sort of thing has passed. It was awesome at the time, particularly when GH3 was out and Rock Band came onto the scene and you had people who would argue about which was the better game. GH3 was one of my most played Wii games and I loved it. I dunno, maybe it'll surprise us and maybe there is a new audience of younger gamers out there who didn't play GH2/3, RB, etc and who would jump on something like this. The two options they've given us for the game (particularly the one with the music videos) are really interesting and it'll all be about drip-feeding extra content into the game and how they plan to do that.
