well done mike!! I've lost about 4lbs over the year lol.... but last year was traumatic for me, this year is seeing me get a lot closer to answers with all my medical things so i'm happy to not be in the +.
-
Life throws me Veteran mode, I'm not making it any harder on myself =P
-
Well done Ine! And you were saying you had no chance of passing!!! Just as a note I'm 99% sure you can only drive on an EU driving licence for so long, then it has to be either retaken or changed...(just if you intend to stay and drive over here)
-
jeekers thats pretty bad... my colleague has a daughter thats just passed and hers is 2.2k.... lol... raging. Thats like 220ish pounds a month! Crazy!
-
oohh how much did that sting you?

I had one good thing vs about 20 this week, anyway My new colleague showed me his technology :P He's an above knee amputee and has an INTELLIGENT LEG. Although its going a bit wonky at the moment and not moving like it should (its an artificial knee) and he uploaded the settings to it while we sat in work... I'm such a sucker for technology and was asking him lots of questions about it :3 Uploading settings to your knee, how awesome. And he has to charge his leg every night. I just love so much.. <3 (obviously like i said to him there's no real replacement for a KNEE, but how freakin' awesome, it makes his life an awful lot easier)

OK I think a day of no girning is enough :p I'm tired, stressed, and feeling bluudy ill again... Horrendous heartburn and what seems to be some kind of acid reflux.. I'm seeing myself eating less and less every day because its causing me so much pain >_< And my hands are getting really..... immobile? I can't push my fingers further than flat/180 degrees... Which is making a lot of stuff difficult. Its like stuff you don't think about like pushing a door open (fist or elbow now) or like lifting things, and extensive typing seems to exacerbate it. My skin goes as white as a sheet when I straighten my hand and it feels like its under immense pressure. My natural resting hand form seems to be getting...clawed? :/ Work is hugely stressful, where I sit i am SURROUNDED by people and my somewhat autistic/antisocial behaviour makes that really tiring... I'm sitting right beside the photocopier which seems to be setting of my asthma anytime its going for more than a couple of sheets (which is common) and we're going through a lot of changes with new management who seems to want to follow everything to the book..... I have hinted towards moving somewhere else but I dunno how that will go down with mr by the book. I've spent most of my evenings this week in a daze/sleeping because i'm so utterly tired/stressed. Need to snap out of it because its getting to a point where i'm just existing for work, and sleep.. Oh yeah and not forgetting i'm in love with someone who I think doesn't like me that way a la;

The management are in the process of contacting the members of staff whom have since left (affected by the payrise I mentioned) so I'm assuming they are in the process of getting the money together...hmm I'm really dreading just seeing how much tax imma have to pay when it comes in They bloody better be paying me first, i'm the most senior person damn them :p and im in a terrible terrible mood so it would really help things a lot if they got it sorted for next payday....dare I hope? (27th...unlikely lol)

i was at my slimming world class there on Wednesday night and I put on 4.5lbs over 4 weeks of christmas, which i'm pretty happy about.. I'm back to the same weight I was when I started slimming world early December. I wanted to maintain over the period of december/christmas so damn chuffed Been feeling rather dodgy lately and not really able to eat significant amounts of food, really horrific acid reflux/heartburn :/ Been going on for a while but as usual no one wants to listen.. which is making me feel pooo. Other shit going on at work, feeling horrible, i'm borderline manic depression at the moment and wishing it would sort itself out..

to me 12% seems like nothing XD Electrical impedance can be funny at the best of times, I wouldn't rely on it at all. There's far too many things that can affect it and electrical impedance going through your feet is far from reliable when the scales and your feet could both be dirty, and also your feet need to be "sticky" like when they've been freshly washed as opposed to bone dry. (no shoes no socks goes without saying) Also how much food you've had makes a great impact on it.

yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. Payrise (or should i say CORRECTED PAY SCALE) is confirmed. I am officially a band 3, and will be getting backpaid from 2008.... =D And the difference in pay.... 2 thousand pounds a year. Ho boy me gonna buy me some bling with that... or smth :3

There isn't really an absolute measurement to be honest. Doctors use the method I posted if they have no fancy equipment available but you can be measured by being submersed in water and all kinds of crazy shit. You can also use scales which rely on impedance (electric flow, fat reacts differently to water etc) but that again isn't wholly reliable because even down to how clean the scales are/how clean your feet are can mess with it. And even like generic weight scales...buying cheap won't get you reliable results. The weights/measurements formula are the most reliable of the easily accessed methods. There are so many different factors, such as how weight (or lack of) looks on a person. You don't have to be within "normal" guidelines to be healthy... I'm nowhere near healthy yet (bmi of 35!) yet mines given as healthy (29%)... albeit borderline..

All 7 pages, you shoulda seen the last one! Had hundreds of pages I'm sure =P Welcome to the forum by the way -
i can barely do bench dips ffs ;( i'm not particularly weak but I weigh a tad too much and I have constant problems with my shoulders. p.s is 16%BF not really very low anyway? methinks you still need some fat... lol my bf is 29% according to the weight/measurements formula. JUST in the normal for females (up to 30%) which is odd because some bf scales would have me reading at 45%! I know they are notoriously unreliable because I could step on and off and get two completely different readings.. I'm really very bulky in size/bone structure so I expected it

Yay congrats guys, hope you're very happy together ^^;

Yes you should be eating more protein, but you should be eating more calories so more protein will be automatic if you are eating the right foods. Supplements can be helpful 'cause it can be tricky to get enough protein into your diet, and if you're anything like me its a bit rough on your digestive system taking a lot of eggs/meat. (as I found out to my detriment) I always had mine postworkout because it was delivering the protein there and then. I never leave my shakes any longer than 10 minutes post workout, there is a significant difference in recovery time for me when I take them straight after session rather than half an hour + later. I haven't been exercising at all this year.. bluumin asthma is taking it out on me and i'd rather not destroy myself in the gym in this condition...

oh good god its cursed :p
