    hahaha sounds familiar. I've spend about £50 on my parents (each). Planned to do the same with my sister but found out that she wanted some GHD's. So I got her them (£120) Better getting her something she will actually use rather than a whole bunch of crap she won't, I figures. And I love my sister. Spent a lot on other people too. Credit card bill will be fierce in January, o well! ^^ Probably between £400 and £500 this year.

    You usually do need to reformat windows with new hardware. When you initially install there's a lot of structure stuff in the OS which is based on the hardware config. Sometimes you get off with it. I upgraded my AMD processor from a 3700 single core to an opteron dual core (server chip) and it worked ok. Worth a backup of anything on your C partition just incase. ^^

    *nods* I mean if all these campaigners like made up their mind and chose one, they might have a SLIGHT chance of beating it. But where one likes rick, another will hate his, and prefer the Pogues version, vice versa. The big numbers will be buying the X factor single. People are just hating against anything for the bluudy hell of it. WHYYY. There really isn't a chance of it being beaten to be fair. This is what I was pondering as I read through this thread, you beat me to it ^^; I haven't bought a single since I was about 10, got £5 pound pocket money, and a £12 album was an unbelievable amount of money XD

    oh god you just described my day I work in a call centre and I still despise ringing them! Today I've pretty much lost my voice. One of my colleagues noticed that I was sick (didn't say anything) and was nearly racing out of the door, pretending to be sick. I saw her smirking behind her computer screen. Then I sat struggling to talk to people on the phone and the rest of my colleagues only notice at 2pm. Then the boss was like well I could nominate someone to pick up some of your calls, and one of the others said "well better not be me" So I just continued struggling on.. Rawr. What the biggest shit of a day. This is what makes me hate people.

    My year (and probably the last few years) have been pretty pish tbh. Battling with my medical problem, and taking lots of risky medications. I won't get my hopes up for 2009 or i'll just be gutted. /emo

    *hugs* First Christmas without your dad isn't it dante? I'm gonna miss my uncle too, he and his wife used to come over on boxing day. Makes you think that all the commercial stuff is really pointless, and to cherish the people you love.

    I'll go with this. I got at the very most £200 on me when my parents were a bit more well off. (when I was in late high-school years). When I was younger my parents were very poor, and it was a struggle to get by - so we did get very little tbh. These days I spend more on christmas presents than what my parents spend on me. They deserve to be treated now that I can afford it ^^; I know more than a few people that have full time jobs, live with their parents, and get shitloads of money spent on them. What has this world come to?!

    Bulbasaur woke up in the forest. How had he got there? His memory had faltered somewhat from the knock to his head. He had no recollections of his past or how he had gotten this deep into the forest. Scuffling into the protection of the low lying flora, his vague memory told him that this was a place he did not want to stay in. He followed the only path his instinct took him, down to the foot of the mountain.

    I remember one of my friends linking me to a YT video of theirs, I cant for the love of me remember what song it was, but it was pretty awesome. Anyone recommend a good avenged sevenfold album to start with, for a n00b like myself?
