I live right beside a river, its pretty beautiful in the middle of the summer. I found a hedgehog there once! ^^; Ireland is lovely, lots of rain means lots of trees and plants grow. I'll upload some pictures and put them on tomorrow!

My mother is addicted to these, she does the expert class.... Last week she did 3 classes IN ONE FREAKING DAY. >_<

*high five eye buddy!* Cry to the face squared... lol I think I had surgery (3 times of which i cant remember thankfully!) because of it. Oh, and patches when I was about 2/3 years old.. My dad used to draw pictures on it.... The. Shame. XD Awk neh, I'm not dead yet. Rawwwwwwwwr. I'm in the process of turning my life around. I'm trying to get fit by going to the gym and that should help strengthen my body a little. I get pitied and sympathised a lot.. Always have. But at the end of the day all you can do is make the best with what you've got. Not that I don't have my bad days. I was severely depressed before I came to this forum. Now I have (some) friends.. and I'm considerably happier with myself. Old habits die hard... but i'm still fighting. I LOVE YOU GUYS /crazy

Single awareness day, awesome. I think I shall call it that from now on! Kudos dude. I dunno to me it seems satisfactory enough to treat your loved one on either their birthday, or at a TOTAL spur of the moment type thing. Not a day scheduled in your calendar! =) Makes it seem so routine and forced.

I did a bit of digging tonight (based on my mothers vague information) about my eye condition. Apparently I have something called Strabismus which is when the eyes aren't aligned properly. Bolded is the one that happens to me. I always wonder why I was seemingly never coordinated in sports n suchlike. Explains a lot really! I have pretty much NO depth perception. And I get weird episodes where everything looks really close or really far away.. Like being on drugs. x( I always thought it was just a basic squint... But then three operations is a bit overkill for just a squint! And apparently the squintyness can come back in later years

And Who Is He? That's One Secret He'll Never Tell...

Psoriatic_arthritis No, there isn't a cure. Creams can ease it (a lot of psoriasis suffers can depend on cream and a lot of effort to keep it in a reasonable state) more people than you realise have psoriasis. I know quite a few people that have it on their scalp alone - which just looks like bad dandruff. Pills are only ever given to people in the severe category, when it seriously affects your lifestyle. These are all immunosuppressants, that (if they work) will only "cure" when they are being taken. And sometimes the psoriasis develops immunity to it. That's even if it works in the first place. I've taken three different suppressants and only one has worked. Immunosuppressants are horrendously bad for your body, they are akin to cancer therapy. and because of that people with psoriasis/PsA (see wiki) aren't kept on it for very long. (actually one in particular - Methotrexate - IS cancer therapy) Surgery isn't an option - it would involve messing around with DNA/immunity. Science hasn't come far enough - maybe one day but its unlikely in my lifetime. People with PsA or severe psoriasis (both in my case) are generally in the minority.

Agreed! *high fives* VD is stupid, commercial, and as nightwolf says, you shouldn't need a specific day to show someone you love them!

That would be correct. =)

Thanks guys. Probably see what happens, might just be a flare. It doesnt surprise me, my psoriasis is like a demon. It fights back against anything and everything. I'm not sure if i could even take more meds without my body being poisoned XD

arrghh My psoriasis is getting resistance to my medication, its starting to come back ever so slowly. When psoriasis is stretched (like moving and bending) it has an odd burning sensation. So when it comes back i usually feel it straight away. Theres nothing that can describe the disappointment I feel right now =(

This whole thread is tl;dr. (no offence to anyone in particular, I just find religion threads to be bitchy and boring.) Agnosticism for the win.

I agree. There have been days when I've been sitting in an office, with no electricity, no heating... It was snowing, and the INSIDE temperature was 2 degrees. And it feels a lot lot colder when you are sitting idle, taking calls. There was a huge layer of snow on the roof meaning that even the sun wasn't heating the building. Still had to work of course... Calls to be answered and all that shit.

Taytoooooo- I swear the one thing I'd miss if I left this country! Do they sell them outside of ireland yet? Try the onion bhaji, it is yum!
-
This is the legislation for my office: Has to be 16 degrees. Yes you can be made to work - as long as it is proven that your boss is doing what is reasonable to help the temp. If it is still under the legal temp after an hour you can go home unpaid. You need to join a union really, because most jobs have different circumstances. Have you checked your contract?

I dunno, I think the HWYD thread stops a lot of crap happening in the topical discussions. I'm sure its been said before, but just 'cause HWYD is there doesn't mean we all can't make new threads.

Still nothin major here. Apparently its bad in Belfast but not settling here

i think moogle might be right... a youngish boy wont have any major male features (chiseled jaw, manly body structure etc) so drugs could easily modify that. I dont think the puberty thing will ever be an issue. female hormones = no male features. It should as far as i was aware, stop male features from forming.

My days been shit. Someone punched me in the process of pushing me out of the way and now one of the discs in my spine is swollen. I'm waiting for the trapped nerves to come like they always do =( I wish my family had just a little bit of consideration sometimes..
