  1. Nimble bread is diet bread and has half the calories (and about half the size) of normal bread, its not just brown bread.. comparison: normal brown bread (no nuts or oils or anything) has 1 point per slice. Nimble is 1/2 point per slice. So you can have 2 slices of nimble instead of one slice of normal. I noticed someone mentioned weightwatchers. I find this is the best way to diet because you have to measure everything to a tee. And everyone gets a points scale unique to them, their lifestyle and their weight, which has been researched and recommended by doctors. Weightwatchers has been going 20 or more years, if it was a failure it wouldn't exist anymore. Yeah, you can gorb a takeout on weightwatchers, but if you work the plan properly you'll find its probably the only thing you can eat all day. I'm totally against all diets, anything that changes how you eat forcibly is just never going to work. Or cutting out things completely forever. You just gotta wise up and be sensible with what you eat. Do you really need that extra piece of toast? Do you measure out your cereal and milk according to the box?
  2. you could probably go with normal bread fine and if you don't see results be tougher on yourself. Can be a shock to the system changing everything in your diet at once.
  3. nimble has half the calories
  4. I'm kinda at a disadvantage with that one! :P
  5. vb is easier, but its restrained. Its more designed for databases. (as opposed to any graphics/games) Probably not upgraded because of the sheer money those bloody things cost. A volume licence (or multiple licences) will cost into the thousands. I thought my college was bad upgrading to vb.net 2003, in 2004!!
  6. completely agree. Its not a difficult formula to lose weight: eat fruit & veg, meat in moderation, junk food in absolute minority. And some exercise. Losing weight like that (even at an obese weight) is not good for you, your body goes into shock and in panic stores every last bit of fat on your body. The only diet that isn't a fad diet is one that you can maintain for the majority of your life. (obviously you can have a day or two off for special occasions) I've lost 7lbs in a week, and yeah it does feel good, but you sure get a slap in the face weeks later when its an absolute struggle to lose anything.
  7. You and your cousin are so alike! Both gorgeous too
  8. But then as you know not every single person is the same. Someone only looking to lose less than a stone really needs to eat a lot less than someone morbidly obese (its actually extremely bad for you eating less than you should be). There isn't really a solid diet that works for everyone. (and losing half a stone in two weeks isn't healthy for your body either - fluke weight losses come back on as quickly as they come off) I would be interested in what you consider a healthy diet though.. Maybe post it in the weight loss thread?
  9. I sold my computers and dual monitor setup so I don't really have a desk as such anymore!
  10. visual basic 6?! what the fuck?! Is your college horrendously out of date or what? (I was using VB6 in 2003) Good luck on the self teaching! Today I had a shitty day, got a load of urgent work piled on. Had to leave my normal workload in the wayside! boooo.
  11. ell shush you silly, your a lovely guy! way to go on getting the girlfriend!
  12. Nurses don't get paid very little, a lot of media reports would have us all believe they get minimum wage the way they go on. I do however agree with the fact they are seriously understaffed, and probably don't care as much as they could because they are under so much pressure. (blame the management!) really sucks because its the patients that are suffering more than anyone =(
  13. website 10char
  14. We went to the cinema! My mum wanted to see a film!!
  15. my mother was bitching (in a "only meaning the best for you" kinda way) about my driving. It's only been 3 weeks and i'm a terrible driver apparently I drive way to close to the middle line of the road. I was driving home in the dark, and I have NO DEPTH PERCEPTION. What exactly am I supposed to base my road placement on?! And she crapped herself when I was driving out of the cinema car park (it was a bit chaotic) but she does forget (because she's not often a passenger) that its a completely different angle. *grumble*
  16. Plastic primer, spray paint: and wet and dry paperz.
  17. Bradley!!!!!! -- I quite like being compared to the queen. Where's my crown?!
  18. I've been in my job for over 4 years and this is the first proper time that i've felt the itch to move on. I would ideally like to move up in the medical career (in actual medicine rather than in the "Planning and Performance" Directorate that i'm in), seeing as i've got internal knowledge and a bit of medical background. My medical problems are always going to be a thorn in my backside - no-one would employ me, and I don't know if I even have the ability tbh. I'm not really sure what to doooooo. we are getting a bit kitchen upgrade in work, and they've moved us into one of the doctors surgeries as a temporarily kitchen. I absentmindedly opened a drawer (as i would to get a spoon to make a cuppa) and realised that it was full of needles and things! A drawer that obviously should be locked.. o_O
  19. the free version doesn't. I tried to replicate what you did.. and my version of AVG (free) seems happy enough with going to the site. Could you do a screeny of it eevil my dear?

  24. Bananas are very good cause they have more sugar comparatively to almost any other fruit, but they have potassium in them and might make your stomach dodgy if you eat them on empty. Yeah i might do that actually... since my mum is now disabled I can't drag her along anymore
