Raining_again replied to or else you will DIE's topic in General Chit Chat
Yaaaaawn. (10char) -
my dad had his recently and it was the guts of £400 (alternator was bolloxed)

You would wonder about the legitimacy of the whole thing if tame rats can survive... Or the fact they needed them? For the camera?! The jungle residents should have either been told that they couldn't eat the animals, or actually given FOOD. I'm sure they woulda been mortified when they found out that the rats were someone's pets =(

My sister has gotten some psoriasis on her arm In the exact same place mine started... spooky. I still have sharp memories of it, despite being 4 years old. I think she's scared that she might end up like me. Beh. =(

nothing terminal, just something that may make life annoying.

I kinda agree with both, when you think about cold hard numbers, 100 doesn't seem all that much. But when you think about the soft side, the families at home that wont have their son/daughter/mum/dad home for christmas... the number just seems horrendous.

I could try it on you, mister smartypants!

food, water, shelter. Of which you usually need some form of income to keep. Other than that the world is pretty much your oyster. If you can afford to go out and buy 20 different games consoles or 4 cars, who cares. It's not like you are really harming anyone.
-
Fruit, vegies have less calories. :P (it would be very difficult to diet without veggies) Would you sacrifice your health for endless amounts of money?
-
You could argue that point.. A car is pretty much gotten to be a necessity to me. Just a bugatti veyron isn't a necessity! (how I'd love to drive one though!) Who gave you rights to decide what is a good thing to "want" for christmas? Everyone's different. :P The only thing I think that I really want is a humongous big box of chocolates. Then I'm going to sit, on Christmas day, and scoff EVERY LAST ONE.

I can't say i've seen a lot of excessively greedy posts this year to be honest..

This is a fair point, I think I'd prefer miming than live singing which is awful because of the intense dancing. But gaga seemingly was able to do both and had a very strong voice throughout.
-
Janet definitely mimed it was so obvious! Gaga was faaaaar better.

lol 'nuf said really!

Seeing as this thread has been derailed, I'll hit you all with a question. Would you have sex with someone that repulsed you, if you felt you had something to gain from it? Or should i say; how much would it take?
-
A bit of both, your weren't really that funny to begin with!
-
*hug* any retail situation is shit. And your probably getting min wage and doing more physical work than I am (albeit I have a lot more responsibility) Lesson of the day; Get an office job!! (if you can! i know its not easy!) Just keep at it and keep looking for other jobs!

Today I bought some rosti rings to make mini cheesecakes in. And corn on the cob holders, yesss. My mum is sick of my addiction to corn on the cob ruining her forks :P

To be fair, hardware doesn't last that long, I think I'd be pretty happy with 3-4 years use out of a laptop like that (heck any laptop). High spec laptops always go like that because of the nature of the hardware. If you want a "high spec" machine to last you are far far better getting a computer. Because you can amend the airflow with custom coolers/fans/etc. just as an example - most hard-disks have a life span (with moderate/heavy use) of about 5/6 years. So if it wasn't the graphics card it woulda been the hard disk before too long. Fixing laptops are always a nightmare because they are specifically made! Its not really like a computer where you can slot any type of graphics card in.

Happy birthday shorteh, you legend! -
Not even worth the plastic its made out of. Never never never neverrrr buy a sub-£40 graphics tablet. Because they are all shit. I paid around £60 for my wacom bamboo (its the older model though) and its freakin' awesome. re: company charges, some of the IT project bills in the NHS are horreendous. You gotta employ so many people & resources (like shorteh mentioned) Just a very simple software change on an already existing project can cost into the thousands.

Yeah I think it is genetic (and if there's fluoride in the water) I've only got a couple of fillings thanks to good genetics, hygiene, and living in the north of scotland growing up there was flouride aplenty in the natural water. It makes me really sad and angry that kids are having their BABY TEETH FILLED. What the fuck?! If that's what kind of environment their adult teeth are growing into they won't last long.

It's immensely difficult, you most definitely aren't the only one. I've spoken to many people who have left before the class ends. So I wouldn't feel too disheartened. Chair spinning sounds awesome, I could work with that.... Hmmmm. Is your leg healing up okay these days?
