  1. that and students basically NEVER have money =P
  2. Maybe they meant to say "chooses to tell you that they are homosexual" and put it badly? Sometimes people say things with harsh meaning (which can be taken too literally) when they never meant to cause harm.
  3. The first picture would work well (althought admittedly the lines would probably be thicker - line work is limited in detail, delicate lines aren't possible) Designs that have "a lot going on" in a small space won't work. (2nd and 3rd images) but if you go to a tattooist they may be able to advise/draw up a design for you
  4. whhhaaat? If you don't like facebook you don't really need a DAY to celebrate leaving it... Jeez...get a life =P No-ones making you join/read your stupid friends updates!
  5. Yeah you have to watch with deinstalling/reinstalling security stuff - often its easier to reformat or leave as is.. Too much interior damage when it gets ripped out... Last time I changed my security windows gave me a bsod.
  6. heh, thanks guys. Even the other nurse was on my side.. We sat with a curtain pulled around us and she obviously realised i wasn't upset by the pain (ive been needled more times than most) and she said "look i'll shout at her but a patients in" (another patient was in the room behind some other curtain) So i was a bit reassured at the time that I wasn't being a whinge.. I just have a cry reflex that doesn't come out all that often but when it does its like a torrential monster! hah!
  7. I went to outpatients today to see gastro clinic specialist about my stomach trouble. Got the worse treatment from the nurses (well one in particular) and filed in a complaint form. Cried the whole way home in the car (well over an hour) because I was so upset about it :/
  8. Mine only happens with one eye. Its because i've been having double vision and i suppose its just a safety measure. >_> "adjust your muscles" that sounds scary... i'm sure i'll probably have to get the same thing... yick.
  9. - bloods taken this morning - brutalised my poor hands - eye apt this morning - the optician was amazed at my unusual something-trophic eye - even brought a more senior colleague in to see it - first he'd ever seen it (basically if you cover my left eye (focus with right) then right(focus with left) my left eye goes up and across, all by itself! wooo. I'm getting refered to an eye muscle specialist! (is that what you have innnnne?) - bought an xbox - yay - got a yummy sammich - hot and spicy breaded chicken - omn nom - and my mum gave me an iced bread thing! Even more noms! Because of the eye thing the optician said "i'm legally bound to advise you that you cannot drive" so i basically can drive (if i close one eye i lose the double vision) but if i have a crash im not insured.... Great...
  10. Aye its roughly the same online as it is in game/hmv, i was willing to get a slightly less better deal for it today =( Your dad wouldn't need to be pissed about your car, its not like you purposely did anything... Good luck with it though..
  11. I went into town looking for an xbox 360 (the super elite ff one) and there was not ONE in stock in hmv or game. b00. =(
  12. I've got type 1 skin, that burns and rarely/never tans. Plus my meds mean I have to stay in away from the sun in the peak hours. (high increase in risk of skin cancer) >___> It's lovely outside later on in the day, but i freakin hate summers at night because I can't sleep.. toooo warm!
  13. Spring over here consists of a LOT of rain. The brits are always obsessed with weather. I bet portrush is busy as hell today.. the minute the sun comes everyone makes a quick dash to the coast before it goes away =P
  14. jayseven: tl;dr - person take breath test, quits, gets vouchers (the girl on the news piece i saw got tescos vouchers) They then get a breath test every week to check up that they are still quitting.
  15. Some cancer meds can be into the thousands per syringe. and the costs of consultants and nurses aren't something you see normally unless you pay privately (most consultants charge into the 100s for a 15 minute apt) of which you would see numerous times under cancer care. -- the most crucial part is the critical risk the NHS is under, and will be for years to come. The whole problem with this society is the laziness we've created for ourselves.. ready meals, cars and all the other lazy things.. I think overweight people aren't as clear cut.. some people can be genuinely overweight because of illnesses.. Junk food should and could be taxed , but i don't think its necessarily fair to have your taxes based off a reading on the scales. And you could tax for mobile phone use, but that's getting into crazy stuff Essentially the idea is to tax based on the impact one would have on public services... well in that case I'd be in debt to the government :P
  16. Bowel cancer is the biggest western cancer, so we'll have to give rewards to people who maintain a healthy diet next!
  17. I think I've seen the rez lookylikey in ballymena too! Scary stuffs.
  18. Cancer therapy is very expensive because it usually involves: Seeing a specialist (if you went privately that would be a LOT of money in itself) The cost of treatment - chemotherapy is expensive - a lot more than just a prescription over the counter. Home visits from doctors and nurses (at least once weekly, and daily if it gets to terminal stages with VERY expensive drugs being administered through a syringe driver) or checkups every whenever if you are one of the lucky ones to survive. and provisions of things like home oxygen for lung cancer etc So yes it is very expensive..
  19. It'll not be far off it before too long... i remember the good old days when a 20deck used to be under £4... I just think its crazy that in this society we have to bait people with money/cost of fegs to stop them smoking. I know, yes, I was once a smoker.. Truth be told I probably would still be if it wasn't for my bad health (not smoking caused but aggravated) but I am truly glad i'm off them.
  20. if you maintained your own mind... you'd be a straight transgender (hope im using the accurate terminology) - someone who is a male stuck in a females body, that likes females.. and vice versa
  21. I rang up about my gastroenterology appointment today, apparently im not just getting a colonoscopy, but getting an assessment first.. Now I'm gonna have to admit to myself about how crap the whole thing is and how bad its affecting me.. I am just getting to the end of my tether. I barely exist apart from work, internet and sleep. At the weekends I can easily sleep for 14 hours per night and still be exhausted. Every day I wake up with the same fear and dread of the day... if i'm going to have to face people, do things i'm really not up to, and try to reason or ration my extremely withdrawn behaviour
