  1. I signed up here to ask if they'd address a problem I was having with the main site that I understand they're now looking into which is just great. I've been lurking here a while using the Nintendo boards as a news resource, but I decided to make a few posts on there and in "General" and to my surprise received a pleasant few messages of welcoming and one tempting offer of very sloppy, very digital, very green oral sex (raincheque Mr. ReZourceman?). I'm just currently perusing the various boards and posting in a couple of threads that take my fancy. Anyway, you all seem like a nice bunch and not too vast in populace to be all cliquey and impenetrable like a lot of other forums. I like that you have a devoted Lost thread and an anime thread and there's a massive area for discussion of Nintendo's waning ability to produce games that control how I'd like them to. There's also a spot to banter about other nontendo consoles which is cool. I figured I'd post in here rather than introduce myself in a separate thread. Guess I'll continue to observe the political debate unfold in the Election thread and eventually watch the new Glee episode as, despite my pathetic love for the series, I've yet to see it. So happy it came back and is getting a full second season. Lea Michele is a goddess. I need a plan to put my children in her.
  2. I am sending my eventual children to where ever it is you studied. I want pictures like that on my fridge.

I played Heart Gold for about 40 before realising I'd done it all before and setting the DS down to collect dust once more beside my Wii.

I wish Nintendo would go third party to be honest. I'd love to play their games with the functionality of a regular controller on a decent online service like Xbox Live. Shame it'll never happen. They're innovating themselves out of the hearts of everyone who grew up playing their consoles and stuck with them during the reign of the Playstation.

  4. Anyone else less interested in this game the more we learn about it?
  5. Nice to see some Nintendo goodies in there, especially Pokemon remake-raping a heavy hitter like Final Fantasy. That game is doomed.
  6. Song now ruined for me forever? Definitely. That's an excellent one though.
  7. Score. I don't plan to take any exams on my intended career path either. Exams generate super stress and are responsible for 9% of book-related suicides. Okay, I made that up. It's actually only 7%. Now the part of my post for everyone. Exams may very well be outdated or flawed, but is there an alternative to testing someone's accumulated knowledge and the application of it under time controlled circumstances?

Yeah, Nintendo is finished in my eyes. Aside the occasional Mario or Zelda our friendship is over. PS360 all the way.

Community is so paramount in a forum. There's nothing better than likeable, memorable regulars. I've been on plenty that looked so impressive before you actually "moved in" and it turned out to be too big and fragmented to support any kind of community. Others alternatively were too small and struggled to develop anything at all.

This place seems to have plenty of people and personalities.

  9. I think it depends heavily on what you are studying at university whether or not you step out and quickly find work. The country is being saturated with degree educated students, often doing the same or similar courses in fields that aren't particularly hungry for hundreds of new additions to the workforce. I remember back so many years ago in college at the induction our tutor, a horrible little ginger haired gnome of a man, stood at the front of our class of computer students and flat out told us we were wasting our time with his course and should be learning a trade. Looking back he was right, so long as you can work cheaper than the Polish in a trade you're guaranteed work. Beans on toast for dinner every night then? There do seem to be a lot of degrees not even worth considering anymore. I certainly wouldn't go to university to do anything unspecifically computer related nowadays and art is a popular area of study too for a lot of people who really have no idea where it's all going. You have to be certain and have a plan. Even then you have to be fucking lucky.

I'll try and take part in that case. I'm not much of a gamer nowadays anyway. I only signed up after occasionally lurking for a while to see if they'd fix the front page for Chrome browser users, which they seem to be doing.

Seems like a nice place though. I can see myself sticking around. Cliques are okay as long as their doors aren't closed to newcomers like so many forums online.

  11. That's hilarious, ReZourceman. Haha. With regard to Nintendo's DSi or DSXL or DSLOL successor... whatever the current edition of the hardware is titled, I barely play the DS as it is so we'll see what Nintendo churn out this time. If it's another machine more DS/Wii than GBA and GameCube they can keep it. Traditional controls for the win.
  12. Hello ReZourceman. Thanks for your welcome.

I think I will stick around. You're not the first to ask me to weirdly, I guess you don't get a lot of new members often? Also... what is Prossilou all about?

  13. Thanks dude!

Make sure you submit that design for critique on Threadless! I'm sure it'll do well.

  14. Guy

Hi, thank you. I feel very welcome.

I guess this place is desperate for new members or something?

  15. Looks promising from the screenshots, but I get the feeling this is going to be the same game I've played so many times before with some new 3D graphics, a new battle camera and 100 even more mediocre monster designs. Prove me wrong, Pokemon Black and White. I want to like you.
  16. I do that regularly on my phone, it has become an essential part of my life. As for my contribution: ... when people seek you out on Facebook or MSN rather than call you on the phone. It happens to me all the time, but that's okay as I hate talking on the phone.
  17. Thanks for your welcome! I say submit it to Threadless in that case. Put it on for critique at least and go from there. If it gets printed I'll definitely buy it since I can wait like a cheapy for one of their delicious ten dollar sales and chuck it in with a few other shirts on expedited shipping. I think I'll look into RedBubble. Seems a lot of you guys use it.
  18. Clegg came off best, Cameron second and Brown third. Shame they didn't just have a ladder match in a ring with "the title" up there for the taking.
  19. He was a Jew? I never noticed.
  20. Oh, someone throw a punch already!
  21. A dedicated Lost thread? Don't mind if I do. Lost is on a roll. I struggled to keep a lump out of my throat during a few moments of the most recent episode. Let's see if I can do this spoiler tag thing right.
  22. Can't wait for the debate tonight. Brooker is on again tonight too? Today looks like it can top yesterday's Lost/Gleefest.
  23. I played through a single level on Sonic 2006 without dying once. Yes, that's right. I'd like my crown to be comprised of stolen Indian jewel stones.
  24. They seem to like some really great designs and then some absolutely rubbish ones. It's hard to gauge what's going to be successful or not, I suppose. Anything that lampoons pop culture is usually a hit, but they're pretty specific about what they accept and print relating to parody and copyright laws on there. If someone can produce a shirt of Vader cutting a bush into the Death Star, I don't see how Retro's design could sound any alarms. It's a shame the Teefury shirt was only available for one day so at least this way more people could get a chance to own it (I speak selfishly for myself here) with the options for decent and combined shipping. Do Teefury impose any restrictions on designs posted on their site with regard to them appearing elsewhere?
  25. Thank you, Shorty. Appreciate your help.
