I guess the single column layout and bigger font meant the old board was quite easy to read, but it's not a big problem, just something to get used to. Maybe using a few more shades of grey/colour to box information blocks a bit more would help but I'm probably talking rubbish.
Looks good although harder to read than the previous version. It'll take some getting used to.
One suggestion I would make would be to cut down on the number of stickies in the Nintendo board. Means you have to scroll down just to access the new threads.
What a massive shame, he was a great guy, one of the better writers and argued his points really well, and most importantly: eloquently. Him, Peer and Brian were the dream team on NVC and it just won't be the same without him.

I really loved this game, wish they could implement something similar on the Switch. I enjoyed playing it daily and thought they were very fair with the free plays.
Jose rushing through things on NVC is annoying but perhaps unlike other podcasts they have a schedule they need to stick to. I like him though and I think he's fair minded, if Nintendo deserve criticism he'll absolutely dish it out. Peer is one of the most knowledgeable about Nintendo in the gaming press so he has some great insight. I'm a huge fan of IGN's content, I think they do a fantastic job overall.
We've actually seen seven worlds already.
- Metro Kingdom
- Sand Kingdom
- Wooded Kingdom
- Colourful polygonal
and then from the latest trailer:
- The spooky monochrome world
- Dinosaur world
- Only seen briefly, but the underwater level where you're a Cheep Cheep looks new
Inside was my GOTY last year, Shovel Knight a couple of years before. Steamworld Dig, DKTF, Child of Light, Guacamelee etc. Nothing wrong with 2D games, they tend to focus on gameplay which I would take any day over narrative or spectacle
