  1. Great show Nintendo. Multiplayer sizzle reel - Nice way to start the show, Rocket League is a great get for the Switch Xenoblade 2 - Not a fan of the series, but impressed it's still down as coming 2017. They just revealed the box-art for it too. Another big single player game for the series fans to enjoy Pokemon on Switch - Smart to mention it's coming after the backlash a couple of weeks ago. "a year away at least" I suspect means Q4 2018 when most other Pokemon games come out. Zelda DLC - DLC pack 1 looks fine, I like how expansive the trials of the sword challenge is. Shame they didn't show much of pack 2, but the hype teaser gave me goosebumps. Playable Champions? Mario + Rabbids - Pleasantly surprised. Also looks gorgeous. I'm in. Yoshi - looked full of charm and nice visuals/gameplay. Will definitely pick this up. Kirby - I'll probably get it but I felt this was the one mis-step of the show. Swap this out for a new Pilotwings or Animal Crossing and it would have been an incredible show. Metroid Prime 4 - Huge hype moment but disappointing no footage. Surprising to learn it's a new team working on it. Metroid Samus Returns - Definitely will make me pick up my 3DS again. Fire Emblem Warriors - Another game in an already packed 2017, but looks and feels identical to Hyrule Warriors. Mario Odyssey - Amazing. So creative and oozes fun and charm. The gameplay footage on IGN shortly after really showed off the gameplay much better than the trailer. Retro's Game - ???????? A good mix of games coming out in the next few months (Xenoblade, Rabbids, Mario, FE Warriors), and a few teases for next year. Plus more importantly, REVEALS! Loads of them and more than I was expecting. Also worth remembering we get Directs every 2-3 months so plenty more reveals in store I'm sure. Waiting to get into the main booth [tweet]874703482099425280[/tweet]
  2. FFS Sony, same as the Minecraft cross-play. Seems so short-sighted.
  3. Where was Dreams? Another game revealed far too early. Really hope development is going ok, I'm a bit worried about Media Molecule given Tearaway's limp promotion (twice)
  4. Good on Ubisoft for supporting Nintendo so much again
  5. I had a few chuckles during the reveal. The intro with the question block was great
  6. Announcing games way too early in the last couple of years has caught up with them, they didn't have anything new to talk about.
  7. I guess it depends how closely you want to look into them. Generally speaking I think the gameplay tropes are too similar to base an entire conference on them and not much else. I think there was a dissapointing lack of variety on show from Sony, especially when compared to Ubi and perhaps even Microsoft. EA's three non sports titles were a shooter, a co-op jail break adventure and a Fast and Furious style car game. That's variety to me.
  8. Looks loads of fun, day 1 for me. Was very pleasantly surprised by it. And yeah the game itself looks beautiful, definitely wasn't expecting it to look so good. What a packed first year Switch is having! Hopefully it's second year can live up to the first.
  9. Ubisoft conference was outstanding. So much variety on show, from Pirates to talking pigs, Mario and Rabbids to Elijah Wood x Lost, Far Cry to Creed, South Park to space shooting. The BG&E trailer was amazing and an incredible way to finish their show. I thought the Playstation show was a disaster, easily the worst of E3 so far to me. Same show as last year just with 2018 release dates and all the games were so similar mechanically.
  10. I think Ubisoft was by far the best conference so far. Every game was completely different to the last, loads of variety, loads of fun. Something for everyone and some fantastic reveals. Horizon, Days Gone, God of War, Uncharted, Detroit, all third person action games, no big reveals (!!) and all games we'd seen before. Shame it's so reliant on quicktime events, felt like an interactive film at points. Why bother having a conference though? May as well do a pre-recorded show.
  11. That was pretty terrible. Samey games, no big reveals, everything they announced (too early) last year or the year before shown off again with a release date next year. Also, Layden's smug "aren't we great" attitude is starting to really bug me. Shadow of the Colossus was a nice surprise, even though it's yet another remake, otherwise absolutely nothing new of interest.
  12. Looks pretty spectacular from a technical POV, though I'm sure the final game won't look anywhere near as good on a regular PS4/XBO. Looks great fun though, if it can be played single player I'll definitely pick it up. Fingers crossed.
  13. This, the original and Cuphead are tempting me to pick up and Xbox One S. Shame they didn't seem to show much gameplay though
  14. Can't believe no thread on this, for me this was one of the major highlights of the Microsoft conference. Looks absolutely stunning, what an incredible art style. I really really hope it comes to PS4/Switch soon
  15. Never thought I'd see an amiibo being used in a Bethesda conference (or a Nintendo console in a Microsoft one for that matter)
  16. It's great that Bethesda are actually putting a bit of thought into this rather than just porting it straight. The Link outfit is a nice little easter egg if you happen to have an amiibo.
  17. Anyone tempted by Mighty Gunvolt Burst? I didn't play the previous game but this looks good and might scratch that Mega Man itch.
  18. Releasing on the same day as the other platforms, thankfully.
  19. Strange that doesn't look like the concept art or the recent trailer at all, which only showed a Mario theme to it.
  20. The Way Out looks absolutely fantastic, I can imagine it being very short like 2-3 hours but that's not a bad thing. Battlefront II looked stunning, really interested in playing the campaign. Anthem looked generic and samey. I'll be disappointed if it's just a team based shooter The Need for Speed trailer sold me on it, definitely picking that up.
  21. Good news, glad they're not half arsing it.
  22. They're not going to talk about Pikmin 4 when they have another Pikmin game to promote. Ditto Smash when they're focusing on Arms (and Splatoon 2, and later, Pokken)
  23. If they talk about the Zelda DLC I suspect one of two things. Either: - It'll introduce some item that lets Link swim underwater (strangely absent from BOTW) and explore new areas/towns/shrines etc under the ocean or lakes. or - They'll revisit the miniature village idea they had during development but didn't implement and open up a new area to explore that way with Link shrinking down like in Minish Cap Hopefully we'll find out soon
