  1. Agree completely. It's also the reason so many Metroidvanias are coming out this past gen or two, indie devs grew up with Metroid and Castlevania and want to try their hand at one.
  2. They're a family and kid friendly Japanese company who value their reputation. You're getting voice chat in Splatoon, I figured there would be happy people in this thread.
  3. I'm sure they're working as hard as they can to get it out asap

    What couldn't Splatoon do?

The 1 on 1 matches are great. The 2 v 2, no thanks.
  6. I'd recommend getting to grips with shield parrying, it's great fun and looks lovely against beam weapons.
  7. Mario's holding a Bullet Bill gun though, tbf!

6.5 is the lowest I've seen with most reviews in the 8-9 range. Good enough for me! Game is apparently full of wonder and wow moments. (Jim Sterling will put his 3/10 review in a week or two when his follower count needs a boost.)
  9. I'll buy it but there's too much for me to play on Switch at the moment to sink too much time into it, so I'll probably get round to it if there's a gap after Arms or Splatoon 2, or Mario + Rabbids
  10. It's pretty incredible (though tbf not surprising given the developer) that given the scope, just how few bugs there are in this game.
  11. That's an insane leak, even by Ubisoft standards! Still, the four slides make it sounds pretty interesting. Will def reserve judgement till the proper reveal. It'll also be great to see a game at E3 and have it release two months later.
  12. My PS4's been gathering dust for months. Playing Paper Mario on Wii U, Zelda and now MK8D on Switch has made me remember how much more special Nintendo games are, at least IMO. If the indie scene keeps developing on Switch I can see myself barely playing PS4 apart from a few exclusives. Might give Horizon a go at some point and the Wipeout remaster. If Sony reveal a big number of big VR games at E3 I may be tempted to pick one up, but I can't see them doing that sadly. Also the Pro controller is the most comfortable I've ever played.
  13. Yeah they've absolutely knocked it out of the park with MK8. I'd forgotten just how amazing the soundtrack is and the visuals are some of Nintendo's best work
  14. Oh yeah, forgot the sand seal / Zora spear shrines
  15. I can't think of any shrine that's inaccessible until finishing a Beast, which one is that?
  16. It's like that Mini advert a few years back: mini adventures. That's the beauty of this game.
  17. I wish it didn't look so similar to Alienation, a great game but was hoping for something more unique.
  18. Hollow Knight looks beautiful
  19. I think it's lovely as is, way cooler than half and half would have been, IMO.
  20. Glad you agree. Just as slick as the neon Switch looks in your hand.

    Amazing artwork
  22. I think that would have looked like a mess and a bit too childish. This looks sleek and bright at the same time, sort of like the neon Switch.
  23. Finally about ready to put this game down, 190 hours in. All sidequests done. All shrines done. Compendium finished. 300 Korok seeds (that'll do!). Will put up a few pics and thoughts another time.
