count me as in still, but don't wait for me if I'm not there and apologies in advance if i don't make it.

I said a while back on here that they should launch their next console as a kind of greatest hits package with a AAA title from all their previous consoles preloaded. If they could easily add a graphical polish then even better. Would be a great advert... buy the NX console and you get all these classics.

@The Mole @Phube It's my daughters birthday party tonight, which includes sleepover at our house. Whilst I intend to play there is a chance I may miss it with all the shenanigans going on, so probably best to make somebody else the host.

MK DLC info would be good and an early May release. Other than that it's just going to be looking at the same old games that they show every single bloody direct that never seem to get released and no doubt ANOTHER platformer. I don't really want N64 on VC, I'd rather they remaster some of these classics and add online muliplayer. And for the love of God, announce some positive 3rd party news, I mean are they just sitting there watching all the 3rd parties jumping ship and not doing anything about it. Pretty depressing that a little over 2 years into the Wii U and with Zelda starting to look like it's being held back, the only think I'm interested in is a DLC pack.

It's frustrating seeing 1080 coming to VC. Why don't Nintendo do a Sony and remaster some of their N64 library. These were some of the best games ever made and worthy of an update and I'm assuming a graphical overhaul is fairly simple and quick process compared to building a game from scratch.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Clownferret replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I've just seen that Zelda is delayed. Am I the only one thinking this will become a launch title for the NX system? Wii U has about 4 games coming this year and will be irrelevant by 2016. -

Batman: Arkham Asylum & City Remastered
Clownferret replied to Happenstance's topic in Other Consoles
FFS! I haven't even finished City on Wii U yet and they're already releasing a "remastered version" In a couple the of years when developers have got to grips with the new systems are we going to start seeing "remastered" versions of games already on the system as they can squeeze another 2% of graphics out of it. -
come on son, a little piece of me died when you quit the league.
-
cost them the league last season and potentially 4th this season... his legacy is diminishing Away goals is a very old rule and was implemented in an age where travelling to away games was a difficult and prolonged experience, it's use was to encourage the away team to attack when they may have otherwise been negative/lethargic due to the epic journey. In the current age where most away games involve a short flight, the rule does not serve the same purpose and in many ways encourages the home team to play more defensive due to the importance of an away goal. Although it sounded like sour grapes from Wenger I believe he has been pushing this with UEFA for a while.
-
i think the idea in principle of remastering games is good, just not ones that were only released on the previous console a couple of years ago.
-
WTF! Nintendo beat both of them last gen and then had the additional handheld market all sewn up. Microsoft may have money to burn but Sony certainly don't. I'll always buy a Nintendo console and love their games more than any others, but they broke most of their launch promises and now we are left with a platformer console.
-
ABSOLUTELY! I didn't even have a PS3 and it bugs me. Nintendo release a NEW Mario game and everybody moans because it's another Mario game, Sony re-release an old game and everybody buys the console. There is no logic to it whatsoever. Don't get me wrong Nintendo have made a real hash of the Wii U but I don't see Sony doing anything better other than having COD & FIFA.

when i heard Wenger bemoaning the away goals rule, my initial thought was, he was being a bad loser, I've never had an issue with the rule myself, but having read his points and thought it through I actually like the idea of scrapping it and just having extra time and penalties if required. It's certainly more exciting as a fan than just having a draw and that's it. What's everybody's thoughts on this?

yes Arsenal don't have an excuse, got the easiest draw possible and blew it plain and simple, but then Liverpool only managed 5 points in a group that contained Basel and Ludogorets (hardly European heavyweights). If Chelsea had not won back to back Champions League/UEFA Cup then the Premier League would only have 3 teams in the Champions League, so we should all care.
-
Obviously I meant Suarez, but your point is valid. I just don't get the pundits writing off English teams because of one season. The Champions League has always had that element of "anything can happen" one bad draw, a dodgy ref etc you need these things to go your way to progress and win the competition. If you look at the previous English winners they have all had the rub of the green en-route to winning it. This year we didn't get it.

add me as a friend as I'm hosting our group. add me as a friend as I'll be hosting out group tonight.

all the pundits really piss me off with this doom and gloom talk about how bad the English teams are. Arsenal went out at the same stage as the last 4 years so there is no change there, City did the same but they have had awful draws every season. Chelsea would normally get to the quarters or the semis at least but they got the hardest draw possible. So the only real difference from previous seasons is Man Utd would normally get to the quarters at least but were replaced by Liverpool who were playing their first Champions League campaign in a few years and were missing the player who got them there.

@Phube you ok for photo duties tonight? I'll be checking friend requests from 7pm onwards. Some truly horrible tracks tonight, thank God for Excite Bike.
