  1. I love the Tennis, definitely up for some matches. Bowling is great. Last night was only the second time I've played the golf, forgot I need to put the gamepad on the floor which was "partly" to blame for my putting nightmare on the second. Have yet to play baseball or boxing. Doubles tennis is brilliant fun if we can get a 4th person.
  2. quite clearly I'm the king of bowling and was just about to make my charge on golf when i got disconnected. Just as Darren put his tee shot into the drink, didn't even have a chance to gloat.

  12. Imagine my disappointment to see you've started playing this again and I'm not involved. For the record, I'm always up for some Wii Sports Club.

  14. HELP! I changed broadband provide last week (it's fibre) and since then I can only get upload speeds of 8kbps on my PS4. Other devices in the house seem fine. It' so bad that I can't play FIFA online, it just won't connect. Last of Us Factions either won't connect, freezes in game or even if I do play a few matches, when I log on again I'm back to where was i was before. I've been stuck on week 3 day 3 setting and can't progress. I've read about about setting up a static IP? Anybody know a fix?
  15. Wii Sports Club plays a great game of tennis, it's just crap that you can't play full matches.
  16. Turn on cartoon network and you'll see 1 or more nintendo ads every break, which speaks volumes about their target audience, but they are certainly advertising it.
  17. annoyingly Wii Sports Club has got the physics spot on for tennis, if they could just transfer that to a Super Tennis sequel where you have real players and can play actual matches.
  18. if we're mixing things up can we have a night where @Phube doesn't over take me on the home straight EVERY F*****G RACE.
  19. Is PSN down? I switched broadband yesterday and can't log on now.
  20. Wii sold 100+ million consoles because of motion control whilst their previous couple of consoles both sold in the 30-40 bracket, so clearly people liked motion controls. It's a terrible business decision to change strategy when you're winning. Look at any other successful tech and the follow up does the same but better. And like I said they should have dropped the wii name if they weren't going to continue with motion controls
  21. @Ronnie if the answer is to release a £99 Wii U then why bother spending millions in r&d creating a new console at all? They might as well just reduce the cost of the Wiiu shift another 20 million units and hope the software sales balance the books. I think this thread has fallen into the trap of low sales = bad console. I think the console itself is a great piece of kit, my problem is how Nintendo just seemed to let the 3rd parties leave without putting up a fight and thus leaving us without the games we want to play and following up with motion controls. Everybody loved the wii and this gen we wanted more of the same but with more grunt. It's was Sony and Microsoft do and nobody is complaining. Nintendo found/created something that was commercially successful and widely acclaimed and the just dropped it. Go figure. I'm not saying every nintendo console should be motion controls, but wii was like a tech demo and their next console should have been a follow-up. What's worse is they gave it the wii branding associated with motion control but didn't deliver. No wonder people are confused as to what it is.
  22. room 2 is open
  23. I'm not sure what point a hybrid console would have unless it could also play 3DS games. A new handheld that plays Wii U software seems logical, but what would the selling point be a a hybrid that can play Wii U games, just buy a Wii U. Plus if the new handheld shifts 40 million units, which I'm sure it will with ease and they can repackage Wii U games, suddenly the 3rd parties will be back on board because all the Wii U games they made will suddenly start making them money. It will launch with the entire Wii U software library, surely the best launch lineup ever, plus no doubt Zelda. I'd buy one.
  24. their handhelds have by and large been the power of a previous home console so a Wii U HD handheld seems a logical progression and if the OS is compatible they can just release the Wii U catalogue as handheld games thus launching with a load of games that not many people will have played. As for NX, who bloody knows what they will/should do. Wii was a success despite being vastly underpowered compared to PS3/360 so maybe being too similar will actually be a hindrance, maybe Nintendo need to be the quirky second console that everybody will buy. I have a family car and a mountain bike, i don't have a family car and a slightly smaller car for when I'm out on my own. Think I've just turned into Cantona!
