Have you got it and is it any good. I heard it was severely lacking in content. I'm sure I saw it second hand cheap in GAME so may take a punt if there is nothing else on the horizon. A bi-annual update is far more sensible, it's a complete piss take releasing a new FIFA every year when they could easily update the kits and rosters with updates.

The FIFA situation is concerning. It would appear that NX will be more than capable of running a fully fledged FIFA and it smacks of de ja vu if NX gets a downscaled version which doesn't do great numbers and EA use this to pull support from the system. Nintendo need to be bending over backwards to get the top 2-3 third party publishers on board and they're just to bloody stubborn to realise it. -
Is there another PGA Tour coming out this year, or if not when is it coming out? Seems like EA have fallen out of love with golf.

I bought Bioshock 1 on 360 but never played it. I remember both games were very highly reviewed, so I'll have a bit of this. Starting to get tired of Last of Us after 2 years.

I think the NX will do big numbers if as expected it's a hybrid. If they really go for it and utilise the portable feature with Pokemon and monster hunter get FIFA and COD on board and confirm they are revisiting some of their beloved franchises like metroI'd, fzero etc they could have an absolute monster on their hands. -

Nintendo don't allow party chat etc because they don't want families/children being exposed to expletives whilst playing online. It has nothing to do with money and a subscription no matter how expensive will change that. Yes they could do more with party chat to allow friends only to chat but again this isn't a subscription issue. From my experience with online chat I don't even know why people are so bothered by it. 99% of the time it's either annoying kids or grown men who do nothing but swear down the mic. I generally always mute team mates in last of us as there is no tactical chat going on just stuff like "revive me you cnut" as @dazzybee said the "free" games don't justify £40 per year, I certainly resent paying a broadband provider to supply online and then being charged again by Sony. Of course it's horses for courses, but I can't help feeling that people use party chat as a way to justify to themselves that £40 a year is worth paying as it's the one major difference between PSN/Gold and Nintendo's free online service. £40 per year may not sound like a huge amount but over the lifespan of a console it's £250-£300 which is almost the cost of the console itself. Imagine the extra controllers and games you could buy with that. What I detest the most is that this is a hidden charge. Neither Sony or Microsoft publicise this and it's bordering on criminal to sell a console and games and when you take it home and plug it in suddenly find out that you can't use it unless you pay an additional £40 a year. Nintendo have to realise that they will be most peoples 2nd console and if they try and charge for online also that may well be enough to put people off buying it. -

Hopefully the new system will incorporate cross purchasing so any VC digital downloads on Wii U & 3DS will be available on NX. Going forward they still have 1,000's of back catalogue games so it should be quite easy to offer a couple of games a month as part of a subscription. Personally I hope they don't go down this route, Nintendo will succeed by being different and a free online system is a big plus point they have other Sony and Microsoft. How about that FIFA rematch soon? -

In fairness to the Wii U the video call is a cool feature... -

They certainly need to address the complete lack of sports titles that blemished the Wii U and I don't mean Nintendo party sports games. -

Launching with Zelda should guarantee an initial glut of sales, I'm sure they're going to do some more clever AR stuff following on from GO and we already know there is pikmin and Luigis mansion at launch. I think the portable aspect is very clever and coupled with the aforementioned games I see it blowing wii u sales out of the water. -
judging by the success of this, I'm sure this will be incorporated into NX somehow. I wouldn't be surprised if this is in fact a test for NX and it's gimmick is this kind of AR game style.

maybe that's why it's called pokemon "GO"

I've started playing this a lot recently (albeit a few months too late probably) a few things that are driving me nuts... What is with penalties on this game? No matter what I do they all go straight down the middle? When your keeper has the ball and you press to throw it to a full back and the keeper just launches it out for a throw in? When you put in a cross and instead of shooting or heading your player decides to try and control the ball even though you have pressed the shoot button? When you go to pass to a team mate and the ball is kicked straight to an opposition player nowhere near any of your players? When you're pressing the x button to cancel watching replays etc and if you press it just after the game has already switched screen your keeper will pass it straight to their centre forward for an easy open goal. This one is infuriating when in a cup game or season decider. I'm loving FUT, never played that before. Anybody still playing this?

I don't see they can't release snippets or an image or two that wouldn't reveal the gimmick they are protecting. A drip feed would be better than this wall of silence. -

I'm starting to think augmented reality could be the big "gimmick" we saw snippets on 3DS and I'm wondering if they will launch with a Mario or Pikmin where it's fully functional. After all you can't get better graphics than real life. And it's exactly the kind of wacky thing Nintendo would dream up. Pikmin in particular would work very well with this formulary. I can imagine levels where you need to play in the garden for example. -
The most frustrating thing about last night was Hodgson "resigning" like it was his decision. It took away from the us the pleasure in at least seeing the twat get fired. From top to bottom it was an horrific tournament. The FA should never have given him a third tournament having failed to get out of the groups in the previous two. Hodgson himself looked like somebody's grandad with alzheimers who didn't know where he was every time the camera was on him. How on earth can sitting there with your head in your hands inspire or motivate your players. What's happened to Gary Neville? The supposed super tactician seems a broken man since his abject failure at Valencia, I was hoping he was going to take the situation by the scruff of the neck, but he just sat back either clueless or racked with a lack of self belief. Trying to shoehorn Rooney into midfield was stupid. You should always play people in their best position. We were desperate to score and yet our leading goal scorer of all time was playing in a withdrawn midfield position. Kane was so bad all tournament it was embarrassing, he did literally nothing. I can't even recall him making a pass to a teammate. In front of goal I have never seen such inept finishing from everybody. They all looked terrified to shoot and there was no composure, everybody just seemed to try and hit it as hard as possible which invariably resulted in a scuffed shot.

I hope they go back to a cartridge type system. The only advantages discs have are cost and data size and I believe cards/chips have now levelled out with discs. No optical drive means a cheaper console, cards are tiny and easy to carry about and of course loading times zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. -
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

I'm not sure Zelda is enough. I'm as staunch a Nintendo fan as they come, but if they haven't fixed the 3rd party issue I won't be buying an NX anytime soon (unless it's a hybrid of course) when I can play Zelda on my Wii U. I bet Nintendo wish they could release this as an NX only title and enjoy the hardware sales it would create. I'm sure a very large percentage of people will get it for Wii U. -
For me the main benefit of the game pad was off screen play and multiplayer. Unfortunately they well and truly buggered off screen functionality by it only working 2 bloody feet from the console.
-
Can't remember her name Amanda? Somebody who has a track record of accurate leaks and apparently has data on the specs.
-
The rumour that concerns me the most is that NX won't be competing with PS4 for power. So is it just a Wii U .5, surely at the very least it should be as powerfully as a 3 year old console. Unless it's a portable system in which case fair enough. FFS Nintendo just tell us what the bloody thing is already.
