Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!
Clownferret replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
If Nintendo haven't given any information on nx other than its development name and won't do so until E3 then surely there's no way it's launching this year. That, I believe would be totally unprecedented. It's becoming annoying now, wish they'd tell us something. -
but can he drive a kart?

Isn't this the football documentary thread? -

What's wrong with the title? I played football for Jamie Redknapp's father-in-law a few years back, maybe I should go down that route, although I think he was in a nut house last I heard. It's basically about the rules of the game and how some of them should be changed and how players use the rules to cheat. Lot's of other content, FIFA, finances etc. It started out as a kind of diary and grew and grew. I coach Under 10's football and some of the new rules put in place by the FA to development grass roots are so stupid it beggars belief. -

On that subject, I've been writing a book over the last few years, working title is "football is broken" I've come to the realisation that it needs to be a visual medium rather than ink on paper, as a man in the industry how do I go about pitching this as a documentary. -

There's more chance of Spurs winning the league than that being correct. ...oh hang on! -

Nintendo 10 seemed so blatantly obvious to me that I'm second guessing myself that nobody has else made the same assumption -

I'll give you crossover as a possibility, neXt and Xbox are just absurd. I don't think it's that cryptic. -

I'm sure I read recently from the new CEO/President of Nintendo that he never found out what NX stood for... to me it's always been fairly obvious that it's Nintendo 10 as in their 10th console. Am I missing something? -
When did everybody get so fast? 2nd race I thought I was doing well, didn't get overly shafted with items and yet came last. Got disconnected during GPS, was it just me or a group wide issue.

I hope you win it mate. If Arsenal don't win it this year they never will, certainly not while Wenger is their manager

Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens

Surely the point of showing Lukes hand was just so you know it's him. A human hand could have been anybody. It's a bit like the unlock me and leave a gun scene, it doesn't make much sense on it's own, but was clearly a nod to the older fans. -

you're just in the Leicester top of the league happy zone. You could watch Sharknado right now and think it's brilliant. Seriously though, I did enjoy it but didn't like how some major events were just left unexplained, I know it's a trilogy, but each film should stand alone plus it's bloody annoying that we have to wait a year and a half to find things out, it's not like on tv when you get the answer the following week. -
The extra money this season has certainly helped the rest of the league compete with the "big boys" but other that Chelsea collapsing and Leicester going on a incredible run, I'm not sure the league is that different. Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City & Arsenal are all doing about the same. You must be on cloud 9 mate, Abramovic will probably re-hire Ranieri in the summer...

As a Chelsea supporter I'm pretty conflicted over the sacking of Mourinho. Clearly there is nobody better out there so we are taking a backwards step, but he has just about forced the boards hand. The whole Dr situation was a farce, he was entirely at fault and the board should never have allowed him to reduce her duties and should also have made him apologise in public. He has obviously split the dressing room, and has made some real tactical blunders. Playing at home to Bournemouth with no strikers was the point for me where he had clearly lost the plot and didn't know what to do. However, we have been absolutely slaughtered with bad luck and poor refereeing decisions and could/should easily have another 9-12 points on the board which would have made a big difference. To sack him after Leicester seems a bit disrespectful to them, they are top of the league almost half way through the season so clearly on form are a very, very good team, so losing away to them is no shame. They should have sacked him after the home loss to Bournemouth. Roman clearly will throw everything at getting Pep, but if he goes to City, which seems most likely then it's Simeone or bust.

Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens

For me it was almost a remake/greatest hits of the original trilogy. All the locations were there sand/snow/forest same characters, ship, weapons and even lines. There were some real plot holes that I feel you just have to overlook, I keep asking myself the same question... why does Kylo Ren wear the mask? Darth Vader needed a mask to keep him alive. My son who does not have the affinity with the original films was crying and at the end was very angry. He didn't understand why the film was set so long after Jedi and thus didn't show what had happened during those years, I had to explain that as the actors are so much older that had to place it years later. I actually felt it needed to be longer, so much was just presented without any back story or information and you just had to decide in your own mind how that came about. -
The left stick should be higher up, like XB1 & Wii U controllers. I'm struggling to think if I've ever used the d-pad. The right stick is subjective depending on what game you're playing. Fifa in Wii U is a pain because the buttons are not in the prime location, however COD works brilliantly on the gamepad as you mostly use the right stick. But back to my initial point Sony are just plain lazy or bereft of ideas when it comes to controllers, apart from the analogue sticks the DS4 looks pretty much the same as the PS1 controller.
-
whilst I find the PS4 comfortable, the analogue sticks are in the wrong place, they are stuck down the bottom because that's where that could fit them when they first used them and never thought to move them. Let's face it the d-pad is very much the secondary control method and yet it's in the prime location. Sony have always been lazy with their control design, but my biggest complaint (and I can't believe nobody else is mentioning this as I know it's a massive design flaw) is that the analogue sticks fall apart. I've had my PS4 less than a year and have 3 controllers, two of them have sticks that have bits missing, plus the touch pad and triggers are sticking. Bottom line, they are badly made and certainly not built to last.

Only getting above average reviews so far, mainly because it's so short and reviewers are saying the DLC should be parts of the game. I hate EA!
