This man knows the truth. Drinking and Classic Rock = The Ultimate Ignorance Combo.

So I'm trying to come up with the ultimate rock anthem driving playlist, aka Dean Winchester from Supernatural. So far i've got:- 1. Don't Stop Believin - Journey 2. More Than a Feeling - Boston 3. Here I Go Again - Whitesnake 4. Carry on My Wayward Son - Kansas 5. Back in Black - ACDC Suggestions please.

It doesn't bother me. When I'm out I like a good drink but I don't spend the rest of the week counting down to the weekend until I can drink. I can quite happily go weeks without any alcohol, it's hardly a big deal.

Finally got round to giving The Resistance a full listen today. I liked it, Uprising and The Resistance are definitely right choices for singles, Guiding Light and Unnatural Selection wouldn't be bad either. A lot was made of the 3 final songs on the album, like some 15 minute space opera or something. I enjoyed it, though i'd probably prefer if they were just pure instrumentals, without any lyrics. Definitely a good album in my eyes, and im sure it will get better after a few more listens.

I love Ola Jordan.

It's funny how many people struggle with Barre chords. It's just a matter of practice though, you'll be amazed when suddenly one day you can play them no bother. It usually helps to curve your finger so as much as the side of it is beside the fret.

HAHA. I've far exceeded the recommended dosage for painkillers today and I feel well weird. Just tried to put a Pod Noodle in the microwave for some reason.

As long as you like Golf and sewing you'll love it. It is a nice place, plenty of things to see.

Pretty gutted really, for once we actually matched a top nation. Kenny Miller missed two great chances and we had some others too. Shame it had to come down to one cruel mistake for Davie Weir, who actually played well in the game. The wait to reach a major championship continues

It shouldn't, I've not tried it but it does have component inputs - which is the Wii's highest quality it outputs.

Been listening to a lot of older Goo's stuff lately. Dizzy up the Girl is such an epic album in my eyes. The song (Black Balloon) is one of my favorites. Audio

Sharp Aquos LC19SH7EBK, I've got it in my room at the moment and it's a cracking TV. One of the very few at that size that will display proper HD res and not monitor resolutions.

i've not been to that many places in Europe apart from family trips as it doesn't interest me in the slightest, I prefer going to a completely different timezone. As I've said previously, visiting NZ was one of the highlights of my life and I desperately want to go back.

Auckland, I went there a few years back and it was the single best three week period of my life. New Zealand is just a breathtaking country with so many sights to see. To see Sky Tower light up at night is an awe-inspiring sight. I'm hoping to go traveling there next year. Standard pic from Wikipedia, but you can kinda get my point. And Dan. Living up near the Caingorms, I kinda take those beautiful mountains for granted but your picture reminded me of how amazing they are.

Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi to be freed from prison??

I couldn't agree more. If you make the pre meditated decision to end a life, you should also be ending your own. -
I get it all the time, My cat never says it back.

Also when you consider he is doing nothing at Villa but bench warming. Capello has someone in the same mould (Cole), who is in much better form.

Yeah, Jack is pure chillage whenever I hear him. For me it's probably John Mayer, especially his first album - Room for Squares. I'll take it one step further, which band(s) inspire you whenever you hear them? For me it's probably Angels and Airwaves and Explosions in The Sky.

That's obviously aimed at myself and selected others. It's a bit short sighted to think that I wouldn't listen to something because you or somebody else recommended it. I can't dislike something if I've never heard it. The reason i dont like Bjork and co is because I genuinely don't like the music, not because you've recommended it. I've started listening to a few bands that I probably wouldn't have known about if it were not for this thread.

Yeah, the second half was a different game. Some of the chances we missed were shocking, especially McFadden. Shame he misses the Dutch game now.

Yeah, i've got all their albums. I need to be in a particular mood to listen to them, not one of those 'whenever' bands for me. It's not just hard stuff they're good at, give Dear God a try, got a bit of a country twang to it.

I was watching the Irish game in a pub full of Paddy's with the guiness flowing. The place went mental when Robbie Keane headed that late winner.

Same here. I'm eager for more Southland, I hear they're focussing more on The OC characters character, cutting back on having so many different stories running at once. My love for FNL is well known, I eagerly await its return. Other shows i'll watch out for: Smallville, Supernatural, Trauma (possible new Third Watch).
