  3. Nintendinosaur: thats a fantastic story! Im hoping to atleast get my granny to try out some aspect of the thing. She had a blast on Brain Training but just laughed the whole time that it was actually able to understand what she was writing, lol. Oldies playing the Wii would be cool, do you know the film Cocoon? I like it.
  4. I said already that I'd like to see it make the leap to (Europe and) DS, though I'd sure like to see em put it on the Wii... what about a game in the flavour of Yygdra Union? If they somehow got it out soonish, then it could tide us over until Fire Emblem Wii should be unleashed.
  5. Didnt people cry out for a realistic style Zelda to follow Wind Waker? Now it seems that the grass is no greener...? Im yet to play Twilight Princess so I cant comment, but I imagine the graphics to be outstanding and will be much more magical than even OoT for as much as I love that game, I dont seem to put it on such a high pedestal as others, obviously its a classic, and for its time its the best there was. Even nowadays Ive see no problems with it being voted the Best Game Ever. Twilight Princess is no doubt a classic in its own right, ok, people are gonna contrast it with teh uber graphics of the best looking Xbox 360 games they can find, but look at the game in its proper context: a GameCube game dressed up with Wii controls. It (probably) sets out to achieve everything it attempted to, Im sure Nintendo poured all the resources into it they could. PS. A Link to the Past had some very small dungeons. Ive never read of anyone on here moan and groan about that...
  6. Ive had sushi a few times... with crab in it Im pretty sure. With a touch of wasabi it went down a treat. I cant mind if there was any other fish in it, but it was very good. Im a fan of fish dishes though so I was always (hopefully!) gonna be impressed with it. Its best fun making your own, get the wee bamboo roller thing and youre laughin (however, try it in the resto too, and see if its up to scratch.)
  7. The thing aswell is, Link doesnt really even speak through text either (unless he does in Twilight Princess) theres usually just a silence where he speaks, then the other character carries on the conversation. Eg: in OoT when Zelda asks your name.
  8. It was a toss up between "No" and "Yes, but with a silent hero." I opted for the latter cos, well, it could work nicely if some characters were voiced. But I like reading, and the old cliche of its cool having your own voices for them and better, too, is actually my opinion. Making little sounds and expressions, with the odd word thrown in here and there is probably how they should keep it though. It works fine, and adds charm
  9. Its suprising though that Namco didnt manage to make a 95% game out of it though, wouldnt you say? Its not like they farmed it out to an unknown, up and coming software house. I think they should reign it back in though, make an outstanding Starfox game, put it back on the map, then take it from there.
  10. I didnt realise that Invincible had such a love it or hate it thing to it. On my first two or three listen throughs of the album, Id picked it as the point the album builds up towards... then tails off from. I think its definately the heart of this album, as you said Matt already put it. The album has alot of good points, I mean, I personally listen to Muse cos I think theyre different and are pushing the boundries. This album ticks the right boxes as far as taking themselves forward goes... just, the thing that annoys me the most is... where have all the guitar solo's gone??
  11. I saw this advertised the other week and was hoping to watch it, but Im gonna get me Chrimbo shopping under way tonight. I was aiming to do a quick two hour stint, from six to eight, up the town and be in for the conclusion of Hogfather. So if I overrun the eight pm target... then Hogfather gets watched on multistart... then its over even later than 22:00 and theres even less of Starship Troopers to be watched. A great old film though. The bit with the cow is the stuff of film lore
  12. I was sure with a name like Problematique you'd say Muse However I'm gonna disagree with you and say that Invincible is the best song on the album... and that although Exo-Politics got on my wick for months, when I saw them do it live, I enjoyed it and like it better now. Still, its a low point on the album lol. Its a tough album to judge though, cos its so new and different from even anything Muse themselves had done before. What else do you think of the album as a whole?!
  13. Me and the chick are for the Strauss Gala in January, canny mind what date though - but thats ok, as she's taking care of it all Should be decent. Apart from that I doubt Ill be at any gigs this year as I cant see Muse making a return over here so soon. Ill let you know if anything else emerges though.
  14. The Lost World in DKC II was great too and on the whole the game had the highest difficulty. Ive only ever completed it once though, with 102% whereas DKC III has been complted pretty much on a yearly basis lol. I fired it up over the weekend to see that Id deleted my 105% file and had another one started, no doubt in the thinking that Id play through it all once again... though I'd only about 50% done. I started a new file nonetheless. Ive a week to complete it, should definitely be doable, even though Im not feeling overly motivated about it at the mo
  15. GameCube still counts yeah? If thats the case then be sure to get hinting that you're after some Fire Emblem: Path of radiance. Its been a slow year for the Cube otherwise, I doubt you'd be interested in Pokemon: Gale of Darkness? Just a week til the Big Day
  16. Even still, its cool to see someone got plenty of enjoyment from this game! I tried out multiplayer a few times and didnt really get into it - we were back onto F-Zero GX in no time
  17. Sorry that I cant provide you with a quote or a source here, but didnt Reggie say that they were on the case of getting GoldenEye to the VC? Im sure he said that, cos everyone here was like "do you think they'll make it so we can play online?" and all. So dont lose hope yet
  18. Yeah thats true... but on the other hand, if we had The World is Not Enough for the N64 developed by Rareware, then there would be no moaning about the sci-fi aspects of Perfect Dark. Obviously having a blank canvas to work with in PD they were able to incorporate all kinds of things that wouldnt have been in Bond. Do you think the Carrington Institute would work as MI6 HQ? It kinda could...
  19. Violet Berlin actually did one on Sky, but I cant for the life of mind what it was called, itll come to me... else someone'll post it up. Theres Cybernet thats was on late night on ITV... it was kind of ok. I remember watching it one night a while back, just after E3 and they showed the intro to Smash Bros Melee at the end. Boy was that worth sitting up for
  20. Im sure Arsenal will see a top four finish. Probably fourth, I dont think the other teams that are challenging to make a break through this season will have the legs to make it to May and still be up there. It would be a real shake up for the league if Portsmouth or Villa managed it. Is it worth dreaming that the Pool still have a chance of catching the top two? Benitez keeps saying of how he did it with Valencia, but I dont think this is the season for the Reds. I think third should be the realistic target and try to get atleast one cup in the cabinet.
  21. Just listening to the N-E Podcast, theyre talking about the Wii channels. A games channel would be good enough for us Nintendo fans as we could just see footage and whatever of games coming to Wii and DS. It'd still be great to see games being favoured enough to have a proper weekly thing on telly. J-Drive on Live and Kickin' just didnt cut the mustard
  22. Cant remember who I was in Micro Machines - probably Spider aswell lol. I cant mind that feature they did on it though. Recently online I watched a feature Bad Influence did on ILM, it was cool to rewatch it. That guy was so naff to watch now, yet kinda cool at the time Do you guys think that we'll ever see a great computer games program on regularly nowadays? I watched some of that stuff on Bravo (that was the channel, yeah?) the other year and it was all a bit wick - not up to date and not really reporting anything new. Maybe we dont need a TV show seeing as we've the web...?
  23. Yeah, DKC II is generally thought of as the best of the Trilogy. Ive no real problem with that as its a classic, though putting it up against the other two then it becomes my third favourite. Diddy Kongs Quest had plenty of great moments and levels, the only real thing that I mark it down for is that its a little too dark for me. Its not much to mark it down for, but when you gotta choose, you gotta find reasons
  24. /hamster A waste of time then? I guess yours is alright. Basic like, but still cool. 7/10? Just seems to lack a little something.
  25. Nice action oriented sig, Action. 7/10. Well well well what about mine? Took me nearly all afternoon to do it. My first sig ever guys and gals so go easy on me!
