  1. Pigmarcher, i'm assuning you're the one pimping this game at Quidco. Nice one!
  2. I think in terms of designs, as games consoles start to earn their place in the living room, they've got to adapt and fall into the 'box under the tv' look, which isn't attractive. We're forgetting the designs of handhelds- for which i give PSP a right royal courtsy. While its certainly based off the GBA look, the PSP is a sleek piece of kit, for sure.
  3. I do recall it, yes. And like you, i was disappointed it never reached Euro shores- although, given its crazy Japanese stylings, it never came as a surprise. I doubt we'll ever see it on Wii- but hopefully, Nintendo will prime it for the next gen's Virtual Console (when we have a decent sized Solid State Drive!).
  4. Aren't the accelerometers a chip nowadays? I'm sure it looks nothing like a B&Q Spirit level
  5. I'm sure this will fall into the realms of the tech forums, but forgive me if not. The Governments recent agreement that all UK residents should have access to 2mb broadband speeds is rather disappointing. We're just short of 2mgs, and with new technologies emerging, it seems we'll still be left behind. Since that announcement, i've heard a bit on 'community broadband projects'- sounds very interesting but finding info on them is not easy. Does anyone have experience of these projects? How do you start thinking of setting a project like this up? Is your broadband provided by such a project, how do you like it?
  6. Mine spontaeously self combusts.
  7. Is that video meant be of Islamic beatings? I don't think these youtube tags are working for me
  8. has anyone else had their wii's freeze while connecting to wfc. I've only really noticed it on Animal Crossing since 4.0.
  9. Wii Video Channel launched today in Japan. Footage here.
  10. The obvious thing is The Conduit 2- but i'd rather them let the original have its time in the lime light. E3 is too early- unless its a disk based map pack for online multiplayer, but unlikely. The second does indeed scream RTS. Its a genre thats undervalued on consoles and for my money the Wii pointer could work really well in this genre too. It could also be a couple of WiiWare titles.
  11. I read HMV. Its late.
  12. Excellent. Thats sublime, simply sublime.
  13. Which is infinitely less likely than Nintendo's servers failing to do as we ask on a Saturday night.
  14. If Animal Crossing or Mario Strikers is anything to go by, we'll never get online at peak times. At a time when companies promise the possibility of streaming games directly to your PC, why on earth does Nintendo still struggle with match-making services?
  15. Best seller, guaranteed.
  16. Surely it would be. Surely..?
  17. could they mean no multiplayer as in no local multiplayer? If its solely a single player experience, than so be it. I'll judge the game on its merits when more details are available.
  18. I for one give Ubisoft a pat on the back. Superb work guys, Wild West themed FPS is one setting we gamers, or at least I, have dreamed of for a long time. Why its never been capitalised upon, i'll never know. Ubisoft did a great job with the visual style of XII, so i've no problems there (but, i'm sure there's a few boys who'll avoid it). Multiplayer is a slight disappointment, online sword fighting would've been immense. All in all, with the little information we have i'm impressed. Can't wait for more detail.
  19. Positive impressions at IGN. Still not sold, but i'll keep an open mind...
  20. I suppose for purposes of team fights, you could have player 1 and player 2 linked as friends, team 1 friends with player one and team 2 linked with player two, thusly requiring only two codes, rather than 12. Right? Although, that sounded a complete mess.
  21. how does this affect RedShells signiture? what? Somehow i missed the Nazi vibe? Mr. T and Will Wright vs Nazi war machine? What the fuck were they smoking?
  22. I think its just you, oh, wait... Yes, the blind man at the back agrees with you. Seriously though, it doesn't look bad, just not particularly good either.
