Disappointing that Resident Evil 4 isn't the HD edition. Theres been some great visuals improvements to that game over the years, especially PC and its a shane we Nintendo fans can't have a decent looking version.

If this game is ruined for you because of a costume change (from a 13-year old girl in a tiny bikini to a 13 year old girl in a slightly less revealing costume) may I suggest you seek some professional help. I've (obviously) not played the game but if this is a character who is directly referenced as a 13 years old then, i'm sorry, it is darn right to remove it; in fact it should have been removed from the Japanese version (I've no idea if this is considered 'decent' in Japan, but it's certainly not in the West). It's nothing short of voyeurism involving a child subject and it's disappointing to see this mild shit storm erupt - I though quite a few people in this world thought the sexualisation of children is a terrible thing. The original costume is way, way off the mark. Perhaps it could be justified if Monolith were making some form of social commentary but i'm quite confident they're not.

Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!

Eek, that's a bit of a negative assessment. These roles would have been filled by you'd imagine equally capable talent (art director certainly was, by Eric Kozloski who worked on Uncharted). It's unacceptable to correlate staff members leaving with a decision to follow up with DKC. You know, I think in the early days of Wii U studios just weren't prepared for the transition to HD and so leaner projects were chosen to ensure there was some support. -
@dazzybee is running Kate, I'll be on on just a few minutes.

And the site is down.

That's a job well done as far as Yodel are concerned.

Kakariko Village built in Unreal Engine 4

Let's call the whole thing off. -
I was tempted by The Taken King but £50 DLC seems incredibly steep. Or is this a whole new game?
-
I've said to @dazzybee I'd love the Super Mario Bros 2 style, its a look I adore (especially in its Advance update) but realistically I'm finding it hard to see Nintendo actually doing it.

New job incoming! : peace: Been quite a rollercoaster to secure it. It's a 3 month fixed term position within the same organisation (in all honesty, I do expect to be extended) but I have been unwilling to sacrifice my permanent contract for something which may not last and so had been negotiating a secondment so that my current position is still open for me should things go tits up. On Friday I had been advised that a secondment was "not possible" and was about to decline the offer when to-be-new manager offered to have a word and today it was confirmed a secondment is possible. I've two weeks leave and head straight into my new position, an abrupt end to my current position though.

Should anyone be cosidering digitising this, GAME will match CEX at trade in (to credit) currently £30 - more than enough for an eShop card. -

Can I just say that the guys behind Everybody's Gone To The Rapture have perfectly captured the essence of my home County, Shropshire! I genuinely can't wait to play this game for that reason alone!

Story really is where Nintendo need to up their game; at best their games have dire story, at worst it is non-existent.
-
It's not really though, is it? The second screen stuff was an interesting idea but did it make the game? No, it was just different; it might have been a great showcase for the Gamepad but that certainly isn't the reason why it's a good game. I think that's more to do with excellent controls, great atmosphere and setting, nice design and some fairly unique ideas. Some people - like me - actually felt the second screen scanning and inventory broke the immersion. I don't know if this'll be a better game for (probably) jettisoning the second screen gumph, but it won't be a worse game for it either. Just... different.

Could we be due a Direct with surprise announcements for VC?

Does anyone post 30 times a week? I'm willing to bet vast numbers of people don't post 30 times a month. It's too slow to get into, I rarely bother nowadays. Update better speed things up...

Sounds like a plan. Everyone else happy with this?
