Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!

As I recall this was a vague statement covering general ethos and not necessarily any particular project. At this point it's entirely possible a new CEO will take a different route, we just do not know and there is no way of telling. -
I think broadcasters will adopt this kind of functionality through their own proprietary platforms - and they're the right people to do it, not Nintendo.

I can't feel any Sadness for this cancellation.

A week on and still devastated by the passing of Satoru Iwata. It's heart wrenching to know he is now longer with us - and at 55 years of age. The outpouring of love and gratitude from the wider Nintendo community has been heartbreaking, comforting and a celebration equal measure (Nintendo gamers, we're a wonderful bunch). I've consistently found his broadcasts, keynotes and appearances totally engaging and as a fan, I've appreciated how he's treated us with absolute respect - speaking 'directly' to us, giving moments of apology. He's bought about a Nintendo that is proud to be different, one that is a joyous, playful character which mirrors the hundreds of games the company has produced over the years. Thanks, Iwata.

I don't know if there's much of a market for dodgy amiibo, should anyone be interested in a Bowser Jr Dr Weir hybrid, let me know. Freaky Bowser Jr amiibo

To display 1080p you'd need a console significantly more powerful than Wii U. -
And I fed a scalper to rebuy Shulk.

Miyamoto Is he taking the piss? Rapid boot-up?

Anyone know if the PS3/360 era HDD streaming issue also affects current gen consoles? I've been looking at a couple of digital purchases but that kind of thing irritates me.

What an uninspiring list. I've nothing against any o of these games, some are fabulous games but... Oh boy, that's terribly predictable. -

There's no chance Nintendo will create a PS4 level handheld, but having games scale back for a less powerful handheld would be a fair compromise, less effects, lower resolution would enable games run on both machines and save huge space on storage. Take the portable home, data syncs and you play in HD with all the spangly effects they can throw at you. The portable keeps your saves, data, ID which can be accessed at a friend house for local play. No sync buttons just tap NFC and you're logged in to you're friend machine. -

You'll get to use your Wii U games. In a special mode called Wii U mode. -
I don't agree, I think there area tangible problems with the control set up. Nothing to do with people resisting change. Swapping screens is simply a terrible idea for any fast paced game.

Third parties? I think I've heard of them. -
This is key for me. I'm happy with independent aiming, seems like a natural progression and decent addition to game play. My worry is - likes every two screen set up - its too distracting, breaks the immersion, were getting so little in return for Miyamoto forcing dud mechanics into the game. The visuals seem basic right now, I really wanted to see more complex environments, weaving in and out of skyscrapers in Corneria City, dog fights in giant forests and ancient ruins. It's clear Nintendo still has no interest in creating a Starfox game, just leveraging IP into experimental crap for the abomination that it the Gamepad. The sooner they get shot of that thing the better.
-
Hopefully those who play this over the next few days will give us some understanding of how this works. I've been happy with the idea of independent aimkng, but mktion aiming, swapping views seems too distracting. Is that a confirmed no-line?

Twitch and UStream are terrible. As soon as Nintendo Europe use YouTube I'll watch them. Doed the digital event switch over to localised content though? Can't remember... -

It should be on the US YouTube channel. The last couple of events have been there, at least. Twitch has been awful for stuff live this YouTube is DEFINTELY the way to go. -
It's definitely random. My PS4 is super quiet, you simply can't hear it from during position one better away. It's only an assumption, but its surely either the disk drive or fan? Neither of which I'd be happy making that sound! I say return it, it'll be free within the first year under warranty - its not something you should have to put up with.
