I wouldn't mind a bit of variety on Starfox but It has to work. Sadly, I don't think on foot, under water sections or carrying giant cogs really works for the characters. The closest it should get to having on foot sections would be for Fox to jump out of the cockpit onto the wing and do some uber cool blasting from there. Above all, I just think I needs to be epic, big cinematic scenes, great boss fights. And please, please decent voice acting... Smash voice is terrible! -
I'm sure Iwata really appreciate us discussing his digestion.

New Nintendo Hardware could be Android based.

Only back in Apples dark days did they ever licence their OS. Without a doubt it'll not happen, not until Apple crashes or Nintendo sell out to Apple. Neither are a possibility for the foreseeable future. -

Well, that was an exciting 24 hours. I think people - lots of people - need to remember most of what's posted in these forums is just opinion. N-E Forums have been a cesspit for a while. Debate, don't hate. -

Just as illogical to assume it's incorrect ;p -
Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!

Its an understatement to say Nintendo has struggles with its OS, they're slow, clunky and cumbersome. Using Android OSP immediately fixes a massive problem for them - that they're crap at OS. This way they gain a snappy and robust OS and one that is scaleable. As for piracy, sure its a concern but lets face it people have cracked their current OSs. Nintendo's security isn't just OS based, they use a range of features to protect their content. I'm sure if they're working with Android they'll be working on locking it right down too. It's a great idea.. But.. I'm not totally convinced it's right. I still cant make that leap , that Nintendo will not use a proprietary OS... Its a big leap to make. I've wondered if the rumours are mixed and Nintendo are, perhaps, working on a standalone (mobile games) eShop store for Android in the same way Amazon have their App Store on Android. At least on Android it'll help them avoid 30% fees to Google on revenues - and that is something that doesn't take a huge leap of faith. -
Which wouldn't be milking the franchise at all.

@yesteryeargames it's 11:00 am for us I think. -
BT do indeed use the EE network (and will own the network within the next few months). In my opinion EE coverage is second to none. The data seems a bit skimpy, but £3 is a neat price. BT have a great app which allows you to automatically jump on to one of their gazillion WiFi hotspots, could help alleviate data usage. Do check your current usage before signing up.

Splatoon Surprises!

@Hero\-of\-Time Thanks. I've literally just come off the phone and checked with a local store, they seem to have, sit down for this revelation, plenty of stock (relatively speaking). Postage for these things is pretty high, so would rather pick up in store. I should be fine for both... But if there's a hitch, I might come back to you if you're still looking for a buyer.

I am having to scramble around town trying to find Greninja and Jigglypoof on Friday... #stockshortages

Hmm. I kinda see the point, you could look at this as paid DLC already on disk...But... Really...? Is it worth your time to complain? These are skins which (as far as I'm aware) don't alter gameplay, don't offer any advantage... It's just a skin... I don't think anyone would bother discussing if Uncharted 4 shipped with pay-for costumes on disk.

Nintendo Land can absolutely be filed under tech demo sold to you as a fully fledged game. Madness to compare it to DKC and Mario 3D.

Count me on for this evening.

It just works.

I feel so sorry for my family, I've been a frumpy gucker all day. Happy bunny now. Aside from installing the Twitter app, I hate Twitter, anyone got any ideas on how to get, perhaps, an email from Twitter when Nintendo UK tweets with the #NintendoUKstore?

Up at GAME. Happy now.

Fuck sake. I'm away. Nintendo's been nothing short of a total fuck up with amiibo, starting to regret getting involved.
-
Do we know the date Dr Mario, Olimar and Bowser Jr actually release?

I wish I understood football so I could understand this joke. It is a joke, right?

Missed. Great. Absolute joke.

I think a "spiritual successor" would be superb. There's no real need to milk a dead franchise, let's see new characters inspired by Perfect Dark.
