SSX Trickier is the game I'm dreaming of.
-
We're aware of the problem and I'm told there is something being done about it. I and many others are having trouble viewing anything other than the forums, which isn't ideal, but hopefully it'll be fixed soon. I'm pretty sure it's to do with the adverts we have.

What other boards do you post on?

Quite a few actually. TGN, games™, n•Revolution, X-360, Play - mainly magazine forums or ones that were previously associated with mags (TGN). Other ones are guitar and music forums, usually involving Nirvana. -
I haven't even played a Resi game yet. I'll just go hang my head in shame…

I'm still as hyped up as I ever was but £180 is too much. Even if you got the game in the bundle, £140 or whatever it is is still way too pricey for a game.
-
I'm all for it, and so are a few other members of team N-Europe. Look at it this way - Okami didn't sell. That speaks for itself really - I'm on board!

What he said!

It doesn't look that bad… it doesn't look that good either.

I'd go with the X360 if you want a good line-up of games. It's my pick out of the two, but I have to say the PS3 has some fantastic games and upgrades coming up: Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet, Home… it's all looking pretty good. But overall I think the X360 has a much better selection of games and I prefer Live over the PlayStation Network.

Do you mean over the shoulder by any chance?
-
I can't wait either, it looks incredible. Shame it's not coming to the Wii really.

You're probably fine with the charger in the link you posted, but if you've got enough I'd recommend these, which were in n•Revolution magazine a long time ago: http://www.usbcell.com/product/1 They're rechargeable batteries and their lids flip up with a USB connector, so you can put them into your computer or Wii. I think it's a great idea! The only real downside is the price at £10.99 for two, but then at least they don't stop working*. * Though they could do…

http://www.n-europe.com/blog There's mine. Or to be more specific: http://www.n-europe.com/blog/?author=289

I'm also on a Mac using Safari and having this problem. First the site was going really slow on Friday night, then only the banner (and sometimes the mini-boxes) has been loading since. But don't fret peeps, I contacted Tom about this a few days ago and it should be fixed soon with a bit of luck. And yes, it's the advertisements stopping Safari from loading the page; check the Activity window and it shows you that certain ads are giving Safari users a bad server response.

Given that it's a fan site, it's really good! I'm not too sure about the design but then there's only so much you can do with a basic template, but you've got really good writing talent dude!

I'd expect the next Nintendo console will support HD, and if the technology is there, the X360 and PS3 successors could even have ultra high definition (that can display at resolutions of up to 7680x4320). Or maybe that's a bit much given that cinema screens aren't even that big. Either way, I'm not sure any of the big companies will be bold enough to drop optical media completely, though again I could be wrong. The potential is certainly there (what with micro-transactions in the forms of the Virtual Console and WiiWare and all) but as I said, will either Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony want to make the future completely digital and risk alienating their consumers? I don't think so.

Panasonic and Toshiba have good lines of cheap but trusty DVD players. You can probably pick one up with surround sound for around £50. In the meantime, hook up your X360, PS2 or PS3!
-
That's a bit unfair. Everyone has personal leanings towards an individual console, but by your logic you wouldn't have a console at all. :P Are you telling me there's not much on the X360 and PS3 though dude?! There's plenty on the Wii, X360 and PS3 if you ask me… well, there will be plenty on the PS3.

I feel slightly underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, it looks good, but I was expecting a contender for the best-looking game on the X360; instead, the engine seems almost identical. On a positive note it's cool you can take hostages in GOW 2, but most of all I'm looking forward to the chainsaw battles!

Well, now there's been an official announcement we can almost fairly talk about the controls. I can't see how this is going to work really - the Nunchuck could serve as one of the analog sticks (not that it does anything else normally) but Skate on the X360 (the version of it I've played) is all about the two analog sticks and nothing else. I'm sure I'll be surprised by EA but until I know more I'm going to remain sceptical. The DS version, on the other hand… well that could prove to be great!

I think there's a bit of assumption on Xbox 360 Fanboy's part here. They appear to have taken a quote from Activision's CEO and guessed he was talking about Call Of Duty 4 - to me it sounds like he was saying the company will be launching COD 5 on all the platforms it has worked on recently. I'm probably wrong, but I can't see COD 4 coming to the Wii so late.
-
It's probably Facebreaker. If not it's got to be Fight Night Round 4 (just announced, but I don't know how it will work on the Wii - probably adapted like FIFA) or a new Victorious Boxers game.

Banana Blitz is a love/hate game though at the end of the day. I've seen reviews praising it for its controls and others saying how they don't work at all. It really split the gaming audience in two - and that's the reason, the controls. From what I can gather it's those who don't 'get' the Wii control method for Monkey Ball that dislike the game. It takes getting used to. As for calling out people for being idiots, I didn't actually mean anyone on these forums (even though there will be those who say otherwise). Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but in the case of this video it's a bit outlandish to say one of the Wii's bad points is the lack of decent third-party support. It wouldn't be if that was a specific person's opinion, but when it's hardly balanced out with good points (where's the praise for the console appealing to a wider audience and having such innovative control methods?) it's hard to take anything too seriously.

It's out 3 July in Japan.

It's a bit unfair the only good things pointed out about the Wii are the Virtual Console and first-party support. There's a hell of a lot more to it, and whoever said the console's third-party support is shoddy is an idiot in my opinion! I can see where the consensus would come from, but it's hard to fault games like Trauma Center, SSX Blur, Sonic and Monkey Ball (well, for some of you) and when people claim there's no good support from third parties it makes you wonder where they're getting their opinions from.
