I love the old style Mario. Those huge hands, pointy nose and his murderous cross-eyes. I don't see why Ps1/N64/Saturn type games can't/won't be seen in the same way as 8-Bit games currently are. As far as old stuff is concerned, I do really miss the days of VHS tapes and cartridge games. The height of nostalgia is shoving in a Disney video and not even fast-forwarding the adverts at the start because they were so damn awesome. I still remember the Disney Land advert, it used to blow my mind.

I agree with @Rummy - Mario 64 was incredible at the time, we didn't need any other games.

I never used to get Twitter all that much, I was a lot like Dazz :P "Why are there so many @ signs!? Why does everything have a hash tag!? Where are notifications!?!?!?" *head explodes* But I love it now, the last few months I've been on it more than Facebook (which is quite something!) I've followed a few of you! @RedShell - I wasn't aware it utilized motion+ but by the sounds of it none of the controls work well. I've just skimmed over it again and... - A great game ruined by terrible controls, "One of the first things you have to do is hold B whilst flicking the remote to jump" - Navigate the island with a variety of vehicles, would be good but once again the controls are an issue. "Control by holding the nunchuk and controller out infront of you like handlebars, uncomfortable after a couple of minutes and imprecise most of the time" - "some parts of the game feel like they weren't tested properly." - If anything, the game shows how far the developers have overstretched themselves in expanding the Family Ski formula" Graphics: 8 Audio: 6 Gameplay: 4 "it's utterly compromised by some of the worst motion controls we've ever endured" _________________ I also had high hopes for Go Vacation but the review really is scathing.

The review said that the open world aspect etc is great but the whole game is dragged down by rubbish motion controls :/ They even compared some of the mini-games to the ones seen in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz D:

@Agent Gibbs And there I was thinking the wait in my local Post Office was bad :p I hope you manage to sort your 3DS out though It does sound like pretty shoddy service! By the sounds of it, my 3DS has the same problems as yours (though maybe not to the same extent). I always see a couple of scratches on the top screen left by the bottom screen and just lately the top screen has become quite squeaky when I open it. It's not as sturdy (or ugly, so I suppose it cancels itself out) as my trusty DS Phat.

Starfox 64 is pretty awesome, I really like the multi-player! And I'm hoping Nintendo sort out the messaging when the firmware update comes in November. Online Picto-Chat with friends should be included - ITS HOW IT ALWAYS SHOULD HAVE BEEN. But it's Nintendo so it won't happen.

I don't think I've ever listened to an album as much as I listened to this, I used to love Steps! So much so that me and my friend fell out for a day in primary school (it's the important stuff that you remember) as he said S Club 7 were better. I watched the Sky documentary and plan to drag along a friend to see them live :P Though poor old Claire, "they [Faye & Lisa] didn't even invite me out near the end, I was left to sit in the apartment eating by myself". I feel as though I should buy her a litter of cats.

@Retro_Link - There have been quite a few rumours lately that Sonic Generations will be delayed until early 2012 for 3DS! Like I said though, they're just rumours at the moment. It's a shame but at the same time I probably won't get Generations until early next year anyway, I plan to play a lot of Mario Kart 7 on my 3DS and will be getting the 360 version of Generations first.

I got a 360 earlier this year so I don't care if the big 'HD' games make there way to Wii U or not. As for the Wii, I'm enjoying Sonic Colours lately - It's one of my favourite Sonic games ever.

I'm still waiting for Sadness.

I'm pretty sure it should just be on the start menu after you've completed the game but I haven't finished it myself yet so I can't be sure!

This depresses me (I already knew but still, every time it is mentioned I get filled with rage) - Some of my favourite DS games were imports like Ossu! Tatake! Ouendan! (sp?) and Taiko No Tatsujin! @Retro_Link I'm glad someone agree's! I thought I was the only one that was disappointed by the lack of Mii's. I loved in the Wii version how you found random ones, I thought it was so cute when I found that Mii couple at the end of the beach @Grazza Ocarina of Time takes up most of my 3DS usage too, I quite like looking at the high scores and seeing how long I've spent on what I'm a nerd for things like that (Which is why I love Smash Bros - So...many...statistics!) @Dyson - I feel your pain. I went and got a blue 3DS mere weeks before the red one was released over here. For some reason I assumed Nintendo wouldn't release the red one in Europe 'till about November to go along-side the Mario titles but then there I was, in September, writing about how it's being released in the UK that very same month Yet, it's not all bad. As good as the red 3DS looks, I can't get over just how shiny and beautiful my 3DS is. It's like, the box isn't deceiving for once and it really is as shiny in real life!

In that case I might go back to it in a few months (well, early next year after I've exhausted Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land :P) The only reason I didn't bother going back to the missions is because I was starting to get quite tired of WuHu island, especially because I aped the flight mode of Wii Sports Resort aswell. One thing I did notice about WuHu island in Pilotwings is that it doesn't have random Mii's walking about or looking up at you, it made the place feel eerily quiet.

I didn't, I always assumed it would be impossible because some of those missions are gnarly. I only got 3 stars in the first set of missions :p I spent most of my time trying to unlock the trophies. (or whatever they were called :p) Some of them were very impressive! The first pop out 3D I saw was with the diorama of the plane, the literally stretched out, I had to touch the screen in amazement (which ruined the whole illusion :p)

Inspired by Wesley's TERRIBLE ALBUM COVERS topic is this videogame version. I must say though, the sole purpose of this thread is because of MegaMan. I put it in General Chit Chat so you could post covers from all consoles and such but feel free to move the topic if you need to. And here's one more for good measure:

I'm pretty sure they've stopped bundling that now. You can buy Wii Sports as a retail game instead though, it's £19.99 in most places but is in one of those horrible 'select cuts of prime beef' boxes.

I got this game over the weekend and it's fantastic! I agree with Emerald Emblem aswell, the graphics are just stunning. I can't believe I lost to this SCUM

How did you manage to spend such time on the game?! I thought my 10(ish) hours would be far more than the average gamer :p And that's only because I liked messing around WuHu island aimlessly popping balloons and such in Free Flight.

Maybe it was just me, I've noticed that most 2D objects in a 3D environment tend to go into double vision for me And I really liked Pilotwings Resort :P I just wish it was longer! More levels would have been great. And that special edition 3DS does look nice but I'm not a huge Monster Hunter fan myself so I think I'd rather just get the Black and White 3DS! If only PKMN Black and White had come out on 3DS, it would be a match made in (Canand) heaven.
