Glad to hear it @Animal. Its amazing how easily a manager can make or break a job. It seems like this time round you've found one who understands the work/life balance as well as in work balance too.
-
@Goafer that would scare the crap out of me if I had that in my home. Nope!
-
Man there's some generalising going dooooown. Otherwise to @Ashley I would want to someone to be upfront in theory, but the reality is, that it kind hurts to find out someone doesn't want you, especially if it's so blunt! In the long term it would be appreciated. Because who wants to fawn over someone who does not care for you? Hmm?

I was exactly the same, spent a few years on my own. I definitely will say the biggest struggle for me (rather than my SO) has been this, I sometimes find it gets a bit too much to share everything with him. But thankfully, he's understanding and knows when to leave me be and give me peace (or in our case not come round one weekend). I think it'll be a challenge to live together, but I'm willing to try.

It just goes to show how a bit (a lot!) of love and care can change some pets from aggressive to loving. If only everyone people would take the time to do so. Nice job @Raining_again! He's a cutie.

So my wife had an implant without telling me...
nightwolf replied to Murr's topic in General Chit Chat
Seeing the men vs women divide here - interesting. Its good you talked it out, as is always the case. I don't genuinely believe that she needs to have your backing to do anything, wife or not. Though it is a good idea for a healthy relationship to involve you in said processes. So perhaps the delivery was a bit wrong like you say. (Especially when it comes to kid stuff!) Either way, I'd advise you to read up on the various different types, not just the pill or the implant, but the side effects, the good things about all different types so that if things don't pan out with the implant (its different for everyone) you'll have a much better opinion. Plus it can't hurt to be informed - right? (This goes for all of you! <3 Not just @Murr) -
Argh headsets, honestly I've spent a lot of money and time on them because they seem to be one of the most fragile things on the planet, looking at reviews on amazon will tell you that much. I have the corsair raptor HS30. I've had them the better part of the year. Great sound and the microphone is good (if a bit sensitive my partner always seems to be able to hear things a mile away on them). http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00F96KMDA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Aww that's really cute. Yes it definitely helps. I've spent quite a long time 'on my own' as it were so I'm ok. Just adulting is hard y'know?
-
Unfortunately not. I've spent a whole bunch on my PC so I can have that as my 'console' so its not going to happen any time soon.

I've been excited about moving. Decorating and interior design are my thing. If I could find a way to do it as my job easily - I would. Man, 6 more weeks til house hunting. Its a shame its only renting, but maybe in the next few years I can buy an actual house of my own. I feel very much like an adult every time I go hunting for houses. ---- Today I feel much more of a child than I have in quite a while. I just sent my partner home, my housemate is currently in America and of course my family are living abroad. I feel a bit lost in this stupid apartment do not want to adult.

The new anime and manga thread! [Use Spoiler Tags!]
nightwolf replied to Shorty's topic in General Chit Chat
Finished terror on resonance. Which happens to be on Netflix. Its such a shame its only 11 episodes as its got such a beautiful story and art style. Would very much recommend it to anyone who is looking for something quite serious but short. -
I so want to play that game. I love SAO. Alas no ps4.

So I finished Attack on Titan. -
Indeed. From the other side. I've been the girl four times now, where my partner has left me for their ex. Let me just say it does absolutely nothing for your confidence and absolutely nothing to help you trust the next person you decide to date. Do not stay with this girl if you even remotely think you might try to get back with the ex. It is not fair on her - at all. Never mind this grass is greener shite. I won't hear of it, either you forget about your ex and stay with this new lady or you let her go. There is no in between.

I know to say that I know that feeling rather well. Which is why I left my last job. It's such a shame. What an awful company to work for!
-
That guy needs a good kick up the arse. I can only imagine there isn't anyone to report him too? (as in outside of the company).

I installed it. UI/UX - I like it, visually it's very appealing, I never used windows 8, but quite like being able to customise colours and tiles. 10/10 Privacy - My issue with this, is that it took quite a long time to turn everything off. I did a custom install and it still took quite a long time. This countered with the fact that Microsoft still want to check your HDD and I'm nervous about it. (It also doesn't help I discuss this with Linux developers who are very anti windows.) Overall, I'll stick with it for a little bit longer, but I'm worried about privacy with it so far.

Question: How on earth does Ninja work? (I can't figure it out..) -
I'm pretty sure in the UK there is something against slow drivers on roads such as motorways. Honestly, I have this sort of thing every day. In fact its become a joke with my housemate and boyfriend because every time they drive with me there is someone who decides to be a dick. To was pulling out of my estate, its my right of way and two people came pelting forward towards me causing me to stop. Another was a tractor driving at 20mph on a 70mph motorway. Go figure. Then there was also a moped who didn't understand how a roundabout worked and got confused when I braked with him right behind me. Eurgh. Cambridge is such a bad one for drivers and I'm comparing this to going round Birmingham, I've no idea why.
