Besides getting a girl friend, really should get to the gym. The shadows of future love handles are starting to form.

Better get used to it, the second it's released you won't be able to get a decent sized game of anything else.

When is Gamestation next getting Wii stock?
gaggle64 replied to Ant-Shimmin's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I've been to my town a couple of times in the last few days. Not a drop of Wii anywhere! And now I have to kill myself. -
Time Bandits Time traveling midgets take on an evil wizard. Actually even better then it sounds. Classic British sci-fi surrelaism. Did I mention the time traveling midgets? 9/10 PS. I mean seriously, time traveling midgets. Imagine having dinner with the man who thought of that.

High School Musical A wonderful all singing, all dancing pop triumph and talent showcase, repeatedly undermined throughout by a director clearly suffering from ADD. I hope the choreography and casting departments rise up and kill the scissor happy idiot. It's like trying to watch a show while spinning around on an office chair. Shameful, shameful direction and editing. 7/10

BEWARE SALLY THE SUNFLOWER: Filth on childrens TV.
gaggle64 replied to demonmike04's topic in General Chit Chat
Ah, this reminds me of that infamous "twanger" episode of Rainbow. [here] Filth out oozing out of every wall of the set I tells you. Was that just a joke or dubbed over or actually broadcast or what? -
Yes, how dare they attempt to make their films more accesable to an international audience. Let us just kill them now and be done with it.

Night at the Museum Imagine a magical and imaginative story of wonder, trials and the human spirit, studded with top rate performances from an immensily talented cast of first class stars. Now throw that all away and do your best to endure this innofensive but utterly turgid Ben Stiller-lead family movie instead, which despite a cast cherry picked from Hollywoods current poster boys will garner few laughs from even the most E-number fuled children. Worth the £4 entry fee? Depends how much two hours of sleep is worth to you. 5/10

So then, 2006 - how was it for you? Was it as pretty average year, or did something amazing happen to you, like discovering Narnia in an akward place upon your girlfriends person, or did you just spend far too much time on 4Chan this year? Any views on world events over the past twelve months? Any hopes for the future? It has been somewhat uneventful year for me - moved to a new college and inherited a shite flatmate. Elsewere, it's been a pretty sickening year for English sport with our Rugby, Football and Cricket teams all suffering from a severe case of sheer and utter suck. Determined to get a flat with my mate next year. Which will be nice.

This year I recieved - £100+ in cash £20 in Music Zone vouchers Oodles of Chocolate A leather-bound diary planner And an awesome jumper which makes me look like a 70's sci-fi extra. Good haul on the whole.

Man, I just heard this on the news. This sucks somewhat. Tis' the end of an actual, bonafide legend. And at Christmas.
-
Glad he turned up OK. Hope the cops catch the bastards. Merry Christmas.

Serenity Dull as dishwater sci-fi which plays like a big, nerdy checklist of stuff that should happen in sci-fi movies. Mysterious pasts, kung-fu, psychic powers, scary girls, all American heros, British-accented villains, zombies, big guns, fast ships, important moral agendas and the most woefully understaffed Evil Armada I've ever seen, all laced togther with the worst dialogue in the galaxy. A cross between Star Wars and The Matrix? More like the O.C. and Andromeda. With a smaller budget. 4/10 "Somebody shut her up... she's damaging my calm."

gaggle64 replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Chit Chat
Don't worry, all of the worlds finest doctors and medical theorists are working on a cure right now. There are some who believe we're mere decades away from a breakthorugh. Something involving fire, apparently. -

Lets be honest here, exactly how many games have their been where the voice actors have even sounded like they're trying? I can think of... one. Two maybe. It's a crying shame to be honest. We live in a world where virtual zombies can be rendered in all their gory hyper realism, but getting a half-decent scream in response is still far and away beyond even the top tier of game developers today.

No. LoZ sounding like FF10 is just not a risk I'm willing to take.

ALready posted this in da' Xmas thread, but what the hell. The tree, pictured with my Mudda and Martinist. They helped decorate. It was fun.

I think it looks faintly naff. Seen too many cheap-Gladiator-esque knockoffs come and go to get overly excited by this one. A Gladiator a-like historical epic with a Frank Miller brand that will appeal to Sin City geeks? The marketing men must have creamed their panties when they concocted that one. In a giant tube of translucent orange goop in an underground laboratory no doubt.

I believe that is Mrs. SNES and Mr Genesis is it not?

Whho. Got my Christmas tree set up yesterday, with help from me dear ol' Mum and my good friend Martinist (pictured). It's all twinkilily.

My Town is bone dry, Wii-free I tells ya. Looks like I'll have to settle for getting mine in the new year. When is the first New-Year shipment. Anyone?
