It was a nice Beckham setpiece but there's just no forward, attacking motion there anywhere. Some of the players are still seem good only for (inefectively) clogging up the goalmouth with white shirts. Plus, I hate Lampard more and more with every game, oh lord yes, yes I do. The music is OK. There are some pretty nice clips littered around as well as some extraordinarily low key soundtracks. Beats the the pants off the licensed crap you find in you're average EA sports title at any rate. Custom soundtracks would have been nice, but I won't complain.

One of favourite things about Strikers is the fact that because people are using their Mii profiles, the people you play tend to have some actual god honest names. Like Paul, or Francois or Jan. It's a nice reminder that you're playing against an actual human being, and is a refeshing change from names running along the lines of "n00855uk1111" or "c05micpwnage" that tend to permeate most online games.

If it's anything like that whole Wii Zelda fiasco, Nintendo could very well be detailing Mii-codes at their E3 confence in July.

I love my Wii. Love the thing to absolute bits. I'm still playing Wii sports nearly six months down the line. The controls for Madden really bring something to the game and I just keep going back to that too. I haven't even completed Zelda yet because of the glory that is Heatseker and Excitetruck have been taking up all my time. Madden, Heatseeker, Wii Sports and Excitetruck. All games that simply wouldn't be (or, indeed, aren't) as fun on any other console. With the releases of games such as MP3 and BW2 fast approaching and gems like Eledees and Rabbids not even sampled yet, my Wii is fast becoming an incresingly rich source of juicy gaming and first rate entertainment. Also the VC is really coming to it's own. Sure we'd all like new content, but there are so many retro delights I've never tried on there (Kirby, Gunstar, Streets of Rage) it's pretty much as good as for me. Glory to the Nintendo Wii!

It was Ricky last time. As I recall we ended up skirmishing each other for control of North America. We were both doomed to defeat well before that but it was a highly entertaining final phase, a last stand scrap between the two runners up for the moral victory. Bah. If only Andrew had taken initiative and pushed into Asia.

Risk is great. If you like Risk you should check out some of the Axis & Allies series. It's basically a more complicated form of risk for the WW2 entusiasts among us.

I can't say I agree with the winner of a life saving kidney being decided by what is nothing more then a popularity contest, even if you are genuinly trying to raise awareness of donor shortages.

Shyguy is a god. I don't know why, online and off he always comes through for me. On paper he looks crap but somehow he is almost always the one either setting up the goals or scoring them. He's like the opposite of Frank Lampard.

When Mario/Luigi goes huge and starts rampaging around is there any defense against that at all?
