Wushu will become an Olympic event for the first time at Beijing. Is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?

I think at this point anything is possible.

Simply sublime. I like that odd Japanese interpretation on Europe that's been draped over the whole thing. The Disney movie-style trailer is a nice touch too. That's the sort of game advertising Nintendo need to get into to.

People need to understand that the existence of global warming is not a recent scientific debate. It's a possibility that has been under heavy scrutiny by a large portion of the scientific community since the early eighties. A consensus had already be reached by the vast majority of scientists and experts by the time this issue finally entered the public domain a few short years ago. Interesting fact: The only thing slowing down global warming is the amount of smog in the atmosphere.

A rise of 1-2 degrees will result in regular, hotter summers, the type of ones which killed dozens people across Europe a few years ago. Southern parts of Europe will become unable to farm traditional summer crops. Economic migrants from Africa and Asia, where the deserts have already started expanding at an exponential rate, will increase dramatically. As the ice caps melt it's possible that gulf stream, which brings us our warm weather and much of our rain, will be either shifted or stop all together by the new body of water. If the ice caps do melt, we're pretty much guaranteed a rise in sea level of at least sixteen feet, which (I probably don't have to point out) will make the recent nation-wide flooding look like paddling pool. Of course, this is all if we're lucky.

I dunno. If DH4 is anything like 300, I find it very difficult not to sympathise with the man.

Road to Perdition Sumptuous gangster epic. Not Godfather-rivalling but among the best. "You really trust me not to talk?" "You can always trust a bank manager." 8/10

Wow-wee that's pretty major failure if the car was allowed to just take of like that. It's a testament to the safety measures across the formulas that he walked away from it, but there'll be some questions asked about what happened no doubt.

So a second consecutive win for Raikkonen, a ninth consecutive podium for Hamilton and all four front runners within twenty points with eight races to go. It's pretty much a straight race down to the wire. Best championship for years. And please, don't sneer at people for wanting to hear about Lewis Hamilton. The public tends to be most interested in good drivers from their own country. They're just weird like that.

Surely you've gotta admit though: it is a pretty damn good-looking bandwagon. Remarkably well driven too.

It's certainly going to be an exciting race tommorow with the McLarens and Ferraris mixed up at the front togtether. I'm going to miss most of it though because I'm being dragged along to make up the numbers at some art festival for the week. Boo. EDIT: Never mind, change of plans. Yay!

Holy crap, even with a (possible) lighter fuel load, where the hell did Hamilton find more then a tenth of a second over Raikkonen?
-
Looks genuinely fantastic. Damn this is going to be good.

Poor little Kirby, why does he always seem to end up on the business end of every new item and feature they reveal?

Yeah, we were linked on Kotaku too. It seems thanks to the Metroid news that our news posters have been digging up the sites stock seems to have enjoyed a brief rise. Good stuff news posters! Excellent work.

I hope Datel hurry up and make their Freeloader disk for Wii. I'll cry if I don't get to play this. Bloody region locking.

Wargames Hello. This is a funny game. The only way to win is not to play. How about a nice game of chess? 8/10

I visit Gamespot, Kotaku and N-E most regulary for gaming stuff. Gamespot is a pretty good, professional news and reviews site. I also have a subscription there which is well worth the few dollars a month for the decent downloads of videos & demos which they offer. Kotaku is a good contrast to Gamespot, offering a more casual opinion on current and upcoming games. N-E is just fantastic for the great community they have here. Everyone's friendly and sort of know each other, it's really a fantastic place to come for some banter with others like you. I also read quite a lot of video game web comics (Penny-Arcade, VGCAts, Awkward Zombie et all.) which I actually find useful for collecting opinions and sometimes even hearing about games I wouldn't normally.

Nintendo Too Dependant on 1st Party Releases?
gaggle64 replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I think Nintendo fans are far too reliant on first party releases. Even with all the great 3rd party support we have sitting on store shelves now like Madden, Heatseeker, Eledees, Sonic and much more, with even more coming, there are still fans complaining about a "drought" because they bought Zelda to go with Wii Sports, and are now sat in the dark waiting for Metroid to come out. -
I can't say I'm extatic about Tate's apointment. She's not too bad an actress, but I fear her character maybe rather too grating to live with over the course of a fulls season. For me though, the silver lining is perhaps we may finally get a companion that isn't just there to fawn over the Doctor while he dosses about in his scarf/trenchoat/Georgian frills. It's a 70s hangover and it's out of touch with the rest of the world. Give him someone to kick him in balls every now and again. Tate's character evidentally isn't designed as a simple piece of eye-candy. Perhaps she could be the one to fill that role.
