  1. My only tip is don't buy from Game or Gamestation right now: Their bundles suck arse. Virgin Mega Stores and HMV are offering a couple of decent in-store bundles however, so you might want to check round your local one and see what's on offer.
  2. New Dawn of War expansion! Praise the Emperor!
  3. I'll join. I'll try anything once.
  4. According to 1up, this is being developed by Gearbox. Gearbox of Brothers in Arms fame. Just imagine what that game is going to be like: "Lieutenant, we're surrounded and pinned down by heavy artillery. What should do?" "There's only one thing to do, Corporal: SAMBA! "
  5. Team Fortress 2 is fantastic (if you can get it to work.) That is all.
  6. Withnail & I I DEMAND BOOZE! 9/10
  7. The Longest Journey is extraordinarily good.
  8. Bloody hell, the critics are freaking raving about this game. I'm actually slightly surprised at how well it seems to have done. Awesome.
  9. According to IMDB, the MTV Movie Awards gave Hayden Christensen the award for "Best Villain", an action which puts me in mind of morbidly obese media mogule giving a cheap action figure to a ten year old boy to suck him off in an alley way. I'm sure the audience applauded.
  10. Full Metal Alchemist then. So why are they after the philosphers stone again? Is it to bring back they're mum or what?
  11. Tried the Ace Combat demo at matinists and all in all, very much enjoyed it. It looks quite spectacular, especially the Rouge Squadron-esque cockpit view, with missiles and enemies exploding all around your aircraft. It all controls quite solidly too (though still nothing quite like the fluidity of Heatseeker on the Wii). Being forced to manually turn tail and run to end the level was a nice florish: I honestly felt a little bad leving the capital city and it's people to their fate. I think my only complaint is the enemy AI - I'm sure it'll be tightened and ramped up before release, but in the demo you could quite happily drift around a crowded battle enviorment almost without suffering so much as a missile lock. Your allies could stand to be a tad busier too. Still, as I said, looking good. Half naked men playing beach ball bonus level please Namco.
  12. The airstikes and helicopter attacks are pretty cool. I got 65points for finishing of a whirlybird with a single rifle burst! Loving this so far. It's just manic enough to stay consistently fun.
  13. Is anyone else having trouble with TF2? It always crashes a few seconds after joining a game. Something about having difficulties with dual core systems apparently. At least, as far as anyone on the steam forums can guess.
  14. Probably get this at a later date. Got a bit of a backlog to polish off first.
  15. I agree, Bioware haven't gone nearly far enough in my book.
  16. Ah, sold then. The gift thing is a nice idea. I'll give Ep1 to my bro.
  17. Yah, you'll need a decent processor for some of the bigger battles, which can involve anything up to several thousand troops running around. These will occur only occasionally in the main campaign though. As a point of refrence, my bros PC has basic a Core Duo and can just about shift 5000+ troops around at a very jerky but still just playable rate. Anyway, as for the orange box, is it the only way to go if you already have HL2 and Ep1 anyway? I do want everything else in there though.
  18. Bioware are saying they are aiming to complete the entire Mass Effect trilogy within this generation of hardware. That's a lofty goal. I just hope they don't stop after three. http://kotaku.com/gaming/sweet/mass-effect-trilogy-completed-within-this-gen-301246.php
  19. I've been playing Medieval 2 on my bros PC. Kicks Rome in the teeth (though I am still playing it on my own system.) You could spend days on either and think only a few minutes have passed.
  20. It is a little odd that female players/characters don't get the same choice. Somebody should write in and complain. Also, like, a jillion new vids just hit Gamespot. Get em' while they're hot! What appears to be the opening sequence: http://uk.gamespot.com/video/930279/6178944/mass-effect-gameplay-movie-13
  21. The Bourne Ultimatium My only problem with this film was the Guardian journalist: why a scruffy girl-man when Charlie Brooker could kill most men with a single, enranged glare. 8/10 "I'm in ur office stelin ur planz."
  22. Been looking at some Kane and Lynch trailers. It looks like a pretty awesome game, but for some reason I have a couple of reservations about the some of the relentless cop massacering depicted. I've played my fair share of Hitman and GTA like, but for some reason it doesn't quite settle with me this time around. Maybe if it was only for a few levels and then you turn against other criminal gangs or something, that would probably be OK.
  23. Been watching those diorama teaser trailers. A tad left-field, but certainly are awfully teasing. Quite effective in their own way.

    PGR4

Looks good enough to eat, don't it? My only problem with the above shots is that the only setup that looks THAT good is to hardwire your 360 directly into your cerebel cortex.
