Probably get this at a later date. Got a bit of a backlog to polish off first.

I agree, Bioware haven't gone nearly far enough in my book.
-
Ah, sold then. The gift thing is a nice idea. I'll give Ep1 to my bro.

Yah, you'll need a decent processor for some of the bigger battles, which can involve anything up to several thousand troops running around. These will occur only occasionally in the main campaign though. As a point of refrence, my bros PC has basic a Core Duo and can just about shift 5000+ troops around at a very jerky but still just playable rate. Anyway, as for the orange box, is it the only way to go if you already have HL2 and Ep1 anyway? I do want everything else in there though.

Bioware are saying they are aiming to complete the entire Mass Effect trilogy within this generation of hardware. That's a lofty goal. I just hope they don't stop after three. http://kotaku.com/gaming/sweet/mass-effect-trilogy-completed-within-this-gen-301246.php

I've been playing Medieval 2 on my bros PC. Kicks Rome in the teeth (though I am still playing it on my own system.) You could spend days on either and think only a few minutes have passed.

It is a little odd that female players/characters don't get the same choice. Somebody should write in and complain. Also, like, a jillion new vids just hit Gamespot. Get em' while they're hot! What appears to be the opening sequence: http://uk.gamespot.com/video/930279/6178944/mass-effect-gameplay-movie-13

The Bourne Ultimatium My only problem with this film was the Guardian journalist: why a scruffy girl-man when Charlie Brooker could kill most men with a single, enranged glare. 8/10 "I'm in ur office stelin ur planz."

Been looking at some Kane and Lynch trailers. It looks like a pretty awesome game, but for some reason I have a couple of reservations about the some of the relentless cop massacering depicted. I've played my fair share of Hitman and GTA like, but for some reason it doesn't quite settle with me this time around. Maybe if it was only for a few levels and then you turn against other criminal gangs or something, that would probably be OK.

Been watching those diorama teaser trailers. A tad left-field, but certainly are awfully teasing. Quite effective in their own way.

Looks good enough to eat, don't it? My only problem with the above shots is that the only setup that looks THAT good is to hardwire your 360 directly into your cerebel cortex.

My college recently merged with some other stuff to become the University of Cumbria. Doesn't make a blind bit of difference to me and my fellow art students, but reading in the local press about the almost constant, childish bickering about where to build the new main campus has already provided literally dozens of hours of entertainment. As far as I'm aware, they've just about settled on an abandoned car park, but aren't decided on which bit should be built first.

You weak minded fool, can't you see it's a Jedi Mind trick!

Bit short on cash at the moment. I'll see you on front lines 'bout Xmas time, if not before.

I think Nintendo have finally cracked the family market they've been persuing for so long, and that's the family in a very real sense. Those accusiations of being "kiddy" were always as a result of attempting to make they're games family - and, by extension - kid friendly. Now that they've succesfully marketed to consumers both considerably older and younger then the usual video game demograph, being "kiddie" is hardly a valid argument that can be leveled at them.

The Dambusters Worth watching again just to see how much George Lucas ripped off the dam bombings for his own Death Star attack. I'm literally talking whole lines of dialogue and sequences here. Seriously, all that's missing is a sodding wookie. 8/10 Any of these sound slightly familiar? "I'm going to cut across them and try and draw their fire." "How many guns do you see?" "Say about ten guns: some on the surface, some in the tower." "What about that tower?" "You worry about keeping her in the air, I'll worry about the tower!" "Look at that thing: it's enormous!" <Cut to tense control room>

Ah, Halo 1. Back when the Covenant were cool. Before all that unpleasant Arbiter-business.

I ain't no Dragon Ball Z fan (if the game was anything like the TV show it would probably just be badly dubbed, barely animated characters talking and scowling at each other for three hours - but just ignore me) but the last Wii game sounded pretty fun. Will definitly give this a look see if it has online.

Shop around for console/game bundles. The 360 deals in Game and Gamestation are a bit lousy at the moment - check your local Virgin and HMV store for some uncharacteristically decent bundles.

Looking forward to this. So long as I don't have to keep tellling them to eat or anything like that in regular Sims. I think this should sell big, with the Sims name and it's family friendly fit. Just build them a town and watch them go! Like a voyeur.

I just can't see myself using the 120gb. The only thing I'm ever likely to download off there is The Daily Show and that's on More 4 twice a day anyway. Personally I'd rather exchange the 50 for an extra controller and a sandwhich.
