  1. Booked a holiday in August with the girlfriend... Antigua. Screw ducklings @Blade, there'll be videos of turtles and rays!
  2. It doesn't matter, it won't sell here anyway. Lighten up guys, it's just a joke!
  3. I used to really like GT but like Zechs I've not been on the site in an age! I'd been watching the Final Bosman still but had been catching it on YouTube. Bosman needs to get into something quick, he's my favourite personality in gaming!
  4. Perfect post there @Rummy, at the end you've summed up my feelings & thoughts perfectly too!
  5. I kinda miss the dating days... a number of girls to meet, the excitement that usually turned into terror as I realised how absolutely fucking mental they were. Ah, those were the days! Haha
  6. Neither were developed by Nintendo so your point is entirely irrelevant.
  7. W101 and the Bayonetta games aren't Nintendo but people cite them.
  8. I must admit, I feel exactly the same!
  9. I certainly do mean like them, but it feels it's still nowhere near enough unfortunately. Nintendo really should be pulling from their library to appease the fans that have stuck with them or they risk losing them bit by bit, more and more with each generation as they have been doing. Also, I didn't mean for it to sound like I'm up in arms. There's nothing wrong finding it funny that Splatoon outsold Bloodborne. As I said in an earlier post, based on the marketing I'd have thought Bloodborne would've been seen as the more appealing game to the masses.
  10. Nintendo themselves have done an ok job, but let's not ore tend they could t do better. Where's Metroid, F-Zero, Waverace, 1080, more new IP..?! Also, my point was that within genres games can be very different, ie; CoD, Battlefield and Battlefront are all very different from each other. Throw in other FPS games and there's more difference. There's variety within genres because of the quantity of games in each genre... which is where it's lacking with Nintendo.
  11. That's really what I was getting at. Having 1 or maybe 2 games of one genre isn't really "covering the genre", as there are many subtleties that distinguish games from one another within each genre. The WiiU isn't covering many genres at all simply through the lack of content within each genre. @dazzybee, not all games sell millions because some are niche, some aren't even advertised and some are basically shit!
  12. I agree that Bloodborne is actually niche, but also agree with @Zechs Merquise in that the TV advertising certainly put across as though it would appeal to the masses, whereas Splatoon's certainly didn't! ...but I do think the lack of software and quantity of software within a (lack of) diversity of genres on the WiiU helped Splatoon out big-time!
  13. I must say, One Piece (manga) has been on point for so long now!
  14. The fishing game in Twilight Princess was fucking awesome!
  15. Fuck me, that's like 3 whole years of content for a Nintendo home console!!! I want a few of these but I need to get through my backlog first.
  16. They are amongst my fondest multiplayer memories! Oh man I miss those days!!! I agree that nothing beats local but it's that local is far too few and far inbetween for a lot of people. Online and voice chat helps so much! I'd be happy with just Party Chat at an OS level... very happy!
  17. But... but... some of you guys are my friends I do have a few friends (3) off here that own WiiUs but don't play them online simply because of the voice chat issue. The voice chat situation is killing Nintendo to some of their current fans. That's the problem I have @dazzybee. The situation that is killing Nintendo to the general public is the lack of 3rd Parties, both their software and the relationship Nintendo have with them... both being almost non-existent!
  18. I hate talking with my friends, I much prefer sitting in silence when we all go out for a beer. Going to a restaurant with them and talking during the meal? No thanks! I'm there to eat, not to catch up! What's with phones?! Who seriously made a device where friends can get in contact and talk to me?! Fucking cunts! Yeah, the whole "I don't want voice chat" is retarded. Also, can't really add to @Hero\-of\-Time's posts as they are absolutely spot on! Although with regards to the games: MK8 - needed a decent battle mode and voice chat. Splatoon - needed a decent offering of modes/options and voice chat. SM3DW - needed online multiplayer. Pikmin 3 - needed online multiplayer. Now it's not what Nintendo put on the disc that's the problem, it's what they leave off. It stops good games from being great!
  19. Yep, this is it. You got the gist wrong @dazzybee. It's not that we were arguing that Nintendo should have certain games... although I say that they should as a greater variety is better. It would also deter some people from getting other consoles instead of a Nintendo one. This generation is the first generation that Nintendo isn't my main console and now I'm very much considering not buying their next. They do need other games (and features) to win people like me back as I don't feel their games are up to scratch anymore. Sure, a lot of people do, but as a company they should always be looking to gain customers, not lose them... which they are doing.
  20. That it shouldn't doesn't matter, the fact of the matter is that it is.
  21. You've said it yourself, those are the games! Mario is no longer the big draw for children. CoD, FIFA, Minecraft, Plants vs Zombies... these are the games kids want to play. Star Wars Battlefront too, that's got kids wanting an Xbox or PS, I've seen it with a few of my friend's little'ns!

    Destiny

I put this on last night for the first time since November 2014. My mate has recently started it so I created a Titan and started from scratch with him. Having not played it for so long I actually found I enjoyed it again, which I'm glad of. I'll enjoy going through it with him... but once it becomes a grind again I'll soon be shelving it!
  23. I think Nintendo's hardware figures give all the more reason to produce a hybrid console... use the draw of their handhelds to give their home console business a much needed push!
  24. I don't think that applies anymore. Both Sony and Microsoft now have the reach to children and don't need Nintendo for this. Also, children are being introduced to gaming through tablets and phones more than Nintendo ever have.
