I haven't been able to book the final off from work yet for fear that it will tempt fate

I used to be able to make it through the first 2 stages without losing a life in the Gamecube version but I only ever beat the game completely after I unlocked the ability to have infinite continues. I'm definitely in for this

It might as well be an empty bag as I still haven't looked near it

I'm not really sure the lack of variety in the combat would affect my impressions that much as I never changed styles an awful lot in Yakuza 0. With Kiwami being shorter, the thought of picking it up isn't that daunting but I'm on a bit of a backlog binge at the moment..

Ah cool.. I may have to watch that. I couldn't wait to get my monthly fix of NGC (though, admittedly that was into the 2000s) I never really had the money to buy magazines before then but the first magazine we ever got was an issue of N64 Magazine with ISS Millennium on the cover Also, 50Hz has never, ever bothered me!

I know we probably both prefer the physical side but the game is £9.99 on the PlayStation Store until 9/5/18 and I've definitely considered it

I think the reality is that whatever they try to do to capture the old Banjo-Kazooie crowd, myself included, it's just not going to compare favourably. For me, Rare's second best platformer on the N64 was Conker's Bad Fur Day when they went in a different direction to deliver something fresh and fun. I feel like Playtonic may be best to create something different with its own unique vibe next time rather than yet another crack at resurrecting their peak days on Nintendo 64!

I'm not entirely sure I agree! With Banjo-Kazooie, absolutely everything came together in such a magical way be it the characters, the worlds, the music, the graphics or whatever else. Those guys have never came anywhere close to matching the quality of it sense. Bigger certainly doesn't mean better so Playtonic would be wise to scale everything down to a more manageable size with more of an emphasis on a tighter and more compact experience with less roadblocks throughout and less unnecessary traversal. I'm not saying they won't make a better game next time around but I don't really have any faith in them producing a truly great game..

There's a point in the final chapter where it warns you that you won't be able to go back so by all means play until there but I didn't anticipate just how much time it would take to get through everything that followed I can imagine picking up Kiwami too eventually, but it'll probably be a while until I'm refreshed enough to re-enter that world! Like @Hero-of-Time, I'm likely to avoid the steelbook edition. It just wouldn't look right next to the other PS4 games..

That's great The story is what kept me coming back! As I mentioned before, the second half of the game seems to accelerate things at a faster pace so.. enjoy

As if us Nintendo fans are going to pay £54.99 for an empty paper bag just because it says Nintendo on it..............

I'm cool with more 3DS support I'd love a couple of N64 remakes such as Wave Race 64, F-Zero X, 1080 Snowboarding or Pilotwings

Get yourself a few sheets of coloured dot stickers I don't really need them for my GC games as I have a big memory card that fits everything but for my PS1, Dreamcast and N64 games I use stickers. For example, if I open up the Virtua Tennis case I'll see a little red dot sticker in the top right corner inside the case and know that it's on my VMU with the red dot sticker on it. It's a good system Also, well done for playing 1080 Avalanche without the need for me to tell you to play it! It's interesting that you mention that song as it was the one I always selected for the final level. I'd pause the level at the beginning and let the song play for a certain amount and then resume the action in an attempt to perfectly time the climax for when I'm jumping towards the helicopter EDIT Actually, it was 'Killing Me' I used, now that I think about!

I don't think I've ever seen even a single screenshot of the game never mind any footage or anything! I certainly haven't played it so my head is buried firmly in the sand and I have absolutely no idea what makes it so popular..

I can't remember specific times but I was probably on something like Chapter 6 after around 20 hours or more and anticipating well over 60 hours to finish the game.. and that was daunting Like I say, though, once I got into the second half of the game I felt like I blitzed most of it and finished in something like 40 hours, a figure that I'm sure could be brought down even further!

I'm not sure if you followed my relationship with the game but I was also getting burnt out by the constant distractions as it was totally ruining the flow. If I was in my younger days and only had Yakuza 0 to play, all of those side stories and mini games would no doubt have been very welcome as there's a lot of variety to enjoy but I eventually got through to the stage where I was entirely focused on the main plot and, as a result, chapters 10-16 went by very quickly while the final chapter ended up dragging its feet well into the early hours of the morning without a much-desired opportunity to save! The gameplay was never particularly compelling so it was basically the story getting me through it and it's not often I say that about a game. My advice would be to forget about most of the extra content and see if progressing the story can absorb you enough to continue. While I haven't ruled out picking up one of the other titles in future, I'm not sure I could stomach more of the same.. certainly not right now!

You need to play Wave Race: Blue Storm immediately

I've never felt so deflated after a 5-2 win We were in the final, but now.. who knows?

I just happened to nip into the eShop the other night and saw this! The SNES game is great (I have it, but haven't fully beat it, on the Wii Virtual Console) so I'm wondering what is so different about this version that it justifies a £26.99 price tag? It's the sort of game Is love to download on Switch but not at that price!

I'm currently playing God of War and I'm not entirely sure what the fuss is about the graphics. It looks like a PS2 game.. Oh wait.. this is the PS2 game With all of the excitement around the current game, I've decided it's about time to try the series properly having only ever played about 3 hours of the original PS2 release about 4 years ago. I started a fresh save file and am just over an hour in but it's decent enough so far and has me wondering if it's worth going through all 3 of the main games before I eventually pick up God of War on PS4 somewhere down the line..

I'm just hoping we hold on to the 3 points. We'll almost be certain of top 4 with a win and can focus on the Champions League rather than having any slight concern about Chelsea somehow sneaking in!
