Rosemary's Baby Wow! That was brilliant. Great performances, especially Ruth Gordan, who after watching, I found out won an Oscar for it. ALSO I never read the blurbs of films. THANK FUCK I DIDN'T read this one! Just read it now, and it gives away the entire films mystery. Literally. The first two acts are rendered pointless if you read the blurb. Jesus. Films aren't meant to be watched after reading blurbs/watching trailers imo. So in a way, you have to go by word of mouth/title/genre. Generally avoiding the cliche as a film though. Mia Farrow looked disturbinglu like a friends ex-boyfriend. 10/10

This thread is a statement about the pointlessness of the 4 letter game...it's an actual game!

I really like it. It's one long piece (evidenced in the booklet). I love that I always thought it was sillouettes of some industrial town pumping smoke out on top of a hill. It could fall into the trap off blunt and flat social commentary but it doesn't. I prefer it to the cover of Amnesiac or Pablo Honey.

Rate The Last TV Show You Saw (Spoiler Tags for Recent US Shows!)
Paj! replied to Slaggis's topic in General Chit Chat
The best comedy series I've ever seen. Although looking back, I found Jonah the least entertaining, but the saddest. It's a brilliant combination of comedy with drama with reality.- 3920 replies

Glass is good, but not as good as you say. It's as good as a lot of the album. Sleep Alone ftw. Ha, I love my Terminator theory about Big Sleep. A film could easily be made on her first album. It's a very fantastical album. --- SONG OF THE DAY Brilliance guaranteed. No refunds, but you won't want one.

I thin there should just be more rules, like you can add a letter, or change one etc. make it a bit more "game" like.

Sean I'm coincidentaly listening to the Madonna song about how he beat her at this moment.

Stigmata A bit pointless. There was evidence of the director having an artistic style to filmmaking, but it wasn't that good anyway. Patricia Arquette didn't act very well, and I didn't care about her character. The whole film is just aa vehicle for the director's feelings on the Vatican. He has a fair point, it's a fucked up religion, catholicism, but there's better, more intelligent ways of getting your views across than in a bad exorcist rip-off. ALLTHOUGH it gets 11/10 from including All Is Full Of Love by Bjork in the soundtrack. 11/10 (with Bjork) 3/10 (without)

N-Europe Mixtape Mix-up III: Revenge Of The Mixtape
Paj! replied to Dyson's topic in General Chit Chat
Made my two mixes! First one was one I made about a week ago, but it's just brilliant. The second one is sort of a companion to that, but like most sequels, fails to truly capture the magic of the first. The first disc is called "Hello Sailor, Buy You A Fuck?" and the second is called "You Leave Me Dry". -

First off, the public should never be brought into a discussion about the quality of music! :p It shits on hard Candy. Because the production makes a lot of the songs work, and they feel (as I said) whole. I don't listen to it often, I'm not her biggest fan, but I recognise a decent electro-pop song/album when I hear it. I'd prefer she kept doing different sounding things. I think Fever is the disco-y one, right? Body language had the fucking brilliant, more subdued songs like Slow and Chocolate, and then this is more electro-y. Again, Impossible Princess (despite it's frilly title) is her best. Shows she has more artistic merit than a lot of her contemporaries. So I appreciate any change. I don't even like her that much! I hate arguing about people I'm mostly indifferent to.
