  1. (This thread gets comandeered by uss so often...you COULD just come on MSN) Their hair is red and made of clay; A Virgin Portrait. --- END this chat. In other news; Pussycat Dolls are shit. Elbow haven't clicked with me yet. His voice'll need getting used to. School Of Seven Bells are cool, I liked them live a lot.
  2. I saw that, not so keen. Poker Face is a better song (with some insane lyrics...). -- In other news, Pitchfork gave Bat For Lashes new album 8.5, wheeee. It's been getting rave reviews so far, AFAIK. It also name-dropped the Trion in a paragraph about her influences. I had to pause and reflect.
  3. I've said from the first time she did that acoustic, I'd buy an album of stuff like that, and go see her live, if that was her schtick. I'm still laughing at the fact she has her leg on the keyboard.
  4. I know. It's THAT insane/maniacal growl. It's just...hilarious.
  5. I actually cried with laughter at this. A tear came to my eye, whilst laughing. She's a lot more entertaining like that though.
  6. Yeah it's really good, suprised me as well. Mr + Mrs. Smith It was ok, dragged a bit, but the action was sufficiently OTT throughout. Highlight obviously being the gunfight around the house. I like Angelina Jolie. It didn't leave you with much, but it was fun nontheless. 6/10
  7. Whenever I'm walking with my iPod and Tori now, I just see her face from the WTE video. Ruins it, but adds so much to the experience. Genuinely stunning. In a "living dead" way.
  8. Bear in mind the musical was done in the 70's or something...so how these guys hope to replicate some of the great stuff that's in the original show is beyond me.
  9. Wtf? Hairspray 2? What is there to add? I hate.
  10. No thanks. I don't like the idea of just being in a "group" not doing anything out of your comfort zone. He evidently does want to be taken seriously, as he turned down Footloose, and I saw he's in that one about Orson Welles. I suppose if you're Paul Rudd, you get by being mildly successful doing the same thing over and over, but If I was a good actor, I'd want to vary it a bit.
  11. I walked into the cinema screen this evening, and playing was a Tori Amos song. I've never heard her played in public before, I don't think (I must have, but not while I've been a fan). I was happy.
  12. My favourite Youtube video ever. She's crazy as fuck knows. This video shows that, but it's very honest, and I believe what she says about her and the piano. Funny though.
  13. Comic Sans doesn't remind me of comics though, it reminds me of P3 (year 3 or whatever for you english), where it looks more fun to children than other fonts, but just looks 10x worse in reality. It only works in context of comics, as it's smooth and easy to read with the pictures.
  14. 9/10 Overall. I appreciate the Summer Heights High reference, but I always get really annoyed when people quote it out of context (for whatever reasonm who knows). The Gl quote is pointless and no in keeping with either the sig or you as a person. ---- I want a new one. Plus I messed up the writing on this one, so it's harder to read than the last one.
  15. Oh no! ReZ...why oh why Comic Sans? It would be you of all people though.
  16. I'm not a fan of rap in general. Some of the popular Kanye stuff I like (as most punters do), but I preferred his last album. --- Listening to the last Elbow album for the first time. I remember thinking they were decent live... It's alright. Nothing very spectacular (tbf not analysing everything about it), but not bad.
  17. 17 Again I generally don't take much from teen/comedy films, but I REALLY enjoyed this. I'm officially impressed by Zac Efron, and it was very funny throughout. I never laugh out oud properly in films, but I was chuckling throughout. Very well done, could have been boring as hell as the concept has been done before., But no, I'd recommend this, and I'm harsh as fuck on comedies and/or "teen" films. I'm surprised at what I'm giving this, but..7.9? Arugably 8, but seems too much.
  18. Clams are lovely.
  19. Heroclix is brilliant.
  20. NO! NO! Neil Gaiman was no part of Comic Book Tattoo (the anthology of comics inspired by Tori Amos) other than the foreword. BUT technically you could just change it to that he wrote the foreword/is a good friend/whatever. So...I'll shut up now.
  21. I never consider Kanye West along with that lot though, but I suppose in a way he is. Always seemed pretty removed from that in terms of style (musical and visual). Much more pop than rap (in my objective mindset - Obviously he's a rapper, but a ...pop-rapper..if you get me?).
  22. That's not Heroclix.
  23. "Rapture" by Blondie was the first song to be successful in the pop charts that prominently featured rapping. (Approx. half the song one long rap)
  24. I agree it's probably her best song, but I assume it's the various spellings of the title that make it so low on her charts? If What You Waiting For and What You Waiting For? were added, it would place 7th on her charts.
