Considering I'm a big Disney fan, I'd never seen Steamboat Willie in full before. I love how it's so unlike cartoons now, a lot of animal cruelty in that, Minnie has tits, and Mickey starts playing music by squeezing a pigs lactatings nipples. I'm stunned. I love how everything in that universe seems to be made from a rubberly substance and nothing is out of the realm of possibility.

I've just always said that I'd rather go and see bands like that live than listen to them on CD. I assume it'd be a much more rewarding experience (at least for me).

^ Definitely one of my favourite songs of 2009. It's huge and explosive, but it's meant to be, and it works in the song. GWOE is just her showing off her voice in comparison.

And the thing is (from our discussions about this) Florence is part of the group that create Final Fantasy esque worlds, but only partially, as some songs are out of place or just not as good as others. So really annoyed this song is here, in place of others. Though Drumming Song is also coming up later. Though not the best again, better.

Converge is the kinda stuff that just annoys me, I can't find much to enjoy in music like that apart from "Oh, they're fast musicians and have a very loud singer". But that's just my own taste coming into it. Funkadelic is stunning though, I listened to the whole of Maggot Brain yonks ago, forgot how lovely it was.

Dollhouse Season 2 Episode 3 'Bella Chose" REALLY good episode. It's not the best series ever, as the good ideas it has are hard to translate into the format it has, but no, lots of great bits in this, very funny too (Victor ) and OMGRZ at the final bit. Though every episode I wonder why they don't just put Echo out of commision, she always fucks up mid-mission. (in some way or the other) Thumbs up -
I'm a fan of both artists, Florence more, but I really think Girl... is one of the weakest tracks on the album, quite uninspired lyrically (relative to the rest) and bit OOT for the sake of it. I'm going to vote Mykonos. Loved it, and hadn't heard it or anything else from the Sun Giant EP, but it was great. If this had been Howl, Blinding, Rabbit Heart, Cosmic Love (most other Florence songs), it would have gone to her.

No, but it's incredibly hard to do complicated dance routines and maintain a decent singing voice. It's like extreme multi-tasking.

We'll see. But then, I assume it'll just be a usual singing the verses live, and then a backing track comes for the chorus (and she might sing along, but maybe not). Which is usually used cause the chorus is produced to be more bombastic and OOT than the rest of the song, plus she'll be dancing I guess. If it's a pure mime, it'll be shit.

I done got so sick and filthy. I'm so nervous of being off from college, as we do so much every day, and are marked every other thursday. But then they basically don't want anyone even vaguely in coming in, cause of da swine (which I'm pretty sure I don't have).

Ziggy Stardust is the best Bowie album for people to start off with. --- Razziatorirorie, SCG, Chair, clips for Midwinter Graces are now on Amazon.fr. I'm not screaming, but it doesn't sound awful. But I still dislike her new voice.

I think the top-right one. I'm still not sold on the chosen title font/graphic, it's not a satisfying image, it's not resolved or definitive. It looks amateur, because the C is so crunky compared to the rest of it. It should at least form a curve along the bottom (imo). The one of the top right has a line through it, which unites the title graphic. Soz. -- I wanna see the cover though when it's done by your friend. Even though I think the layout you've chosen is a bit cliched. [/harsh criticisms, but you asked me to ages ago ]
