Since getting "back into" comics (i.d actively reading more and more current ones, rather just ones I owned from years ago, and a few like invincible), I've been in the mood to buy the TPB's of the ones I REALLY love. So I'm debating spending £25 on New X-Men hardback Vol.1 and both volumes of All-Star Superman. I think I will. Despite having read them both, I love. And feel the need to own officially. I do own all of New X-Men in the form of the UK Essential X-Men issues, but they're scattered around in amongst the horrible X-Treme X-Men.

Of course, Makosi. Of course, Charley. *spotted in the advert, among others* Haven't watched it in years, don't plan to now.

Here are those "panels" I mentioned; I'd be concerned about the things like the thin flecks of shadow around Emma Frost's lips and stuff.

Ah good advice all around. R_A those images were just random images by the artist from his X-Men issues..I actually have an idea of what I want but couldn't find the images on Google. I'll edit in a photo from the issue itself, it's kinda rectangular panels that suggest each character, and much less detail is required overall.

It's also a filthy lie. (yes, I know it's in reference to a Lost thing..) I'd prefer not to know what happened issues in advance on Invincible though. Fair enough finding out when they're coming out, but I think covers and blurbs for issues after ones that aren't even out yet is needless...

I have to say that I like seeing people's status updates, but then I have a decent amount of interesting people on Fbook. I like seeing what groups people join, as I join ones with a funny title/ironically, like "I hate bleeding out of my vagina" and other ones, and I hate that they've disabled commenting on the fact people join certain groups. But I hate when those massively long titled groups appear...why would you join them...?

I don't see what the problem is. You can set your page so unless you're friends with them, nothing but bare-bones info and a picture can be seen. And that's only if you choose to provide it in the first place.

So I want a tatoo. And after ages of saying most "picture" tattoos look awful (they do mostly to me), I want a "picture" tattoo. I want a comic character, as they mean a lot to me. Not just some shitty Spider-Man or Wolverine in a crap pose...I think I want something X-Men-related, preferrably from New X-Men, since Frank Quitely artwork is my favourite thing. I'm just worried it wouldn't translate very well;

Yeah this is what I was thinking. I've made a big pile of all the potentials, including favourites, "art books", things like "student food" or whatever I've never read and all my graphic novels (not that many). I think once I cut away the chaff I'll have a nice balance.

Since accepting my Kingston offer I feel I need to pack everything now in anticipation. When you guys left hoem for uni did you take any books with you? I know in some cases it would be really pointless (for example, Chair has to clear his room out every holidays), but I feel the urge to have a concise number of books, my bookshelves in my room are 80% things from when I was a child.

HMV finally had their Buffy and Angel stock re-done, all at stunning prices. I've already seen a third of it, but ut's annoying me online, so... £16 I then remembered I bid on this on eBay days ago and forgot about it. teebfuh, only £6. But still. Let's hope I don't win.

Scream 2 I love. I love how my friend and I did our famous "let's talk over it and write our own version". Stilts were involved. Though on this viewing it was still enjoyable. I love Sarah Meesh' Gelle. HI! What are you doing here? Like the alternative ending to Buffy season 4, dying really easily. OMG PORTIA DE ROSSI/LINDSAY BLUTH IS IN THIS. My sister spotted. I love. She's the blonde one of the two main sorority girls.

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter...

Went to college today, sans hoodie, ready to embrace the sun in my shirt and shorts, loving life, only for it to go grey and cold within the 15 minutes it takes to walk from home. -
Lol, I was glad that wasn't on there! It's the one you automatically think about, although in my case, try to avoid (I don't like it). The whole of Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp is very summery, props for those tracks. Same with Head First too actually.

Because I wrote it all out and couldn't be bothered waiting. Plus I was scared someone would make one before me.

It might get better. *not hopeful* A TV show has to have SOMETHING significant happen in it within 3 seasons. (I'm terrified though...I've actually liked some of the performances from recent episodes....something must be wrong.)

Is a "glaswegian" accent the one where the end of every sentence goes all high, as though you were asking a question? :p I should know this, having lived in Scotland all my life... EDIT: Oh wait, it's more "round", than an Edinburgh one...or something. It's all elastic. And harder to understand if it's strong.

Ca' the yowes to the knowes! It’s ALMOST (53 minutes until) Chairdriver’s birthday. I hope you came dressed up like I asked. John is 19. Let’s all celebrate. Despite it being sunny I've only been out briefly today...needed to do computer-based work. But that's fine. Starting my final piece tomorrow, but my friend who said he'd be in my filmy can't do tomorrow so I might just focus on planning every little detail/mocking up a portrait of Wonder Woman as the Virgin Mary (yes, that's part of my film...).

Yeah so I want a tattoo relating either to comics/a superhero (but not a shite one, like Spider-man in a cliche pose, one that actually means something to me - probably an X-man of some sort) or a song from Exile in Guyville by Liz Phair. This is far and away my favourite album I think. Apart from Untrue by Burial, I've never heard an album so encapsulate the feeling of isolation in a city.
