Since Spotify decided to fuck up 50% of my iTunes songs too (name-wise, and just renaming things bizarrely), I've gone on a purge. Most of the stuff renamed ae just bad remixes or shit I don't want anyway, so yeah, been purging, and generally stream-lining. Came to David Bowie, and I ALWAYS SKIP him because I can't face the concept of a Greatest Hits with 40 out of context songs and awful album art. Was almost tempted to delete them, just to have them rid of me, but then decided to asses and sort them all out into albums. Turns out I have the entire of Aladdin Sane just lying around mixed up . Listening now, stunning etc. I need to sort out Tori Amos next, got way too many shit remixes and live stuff that I never listen to. Oy, 675 tracks to sift through... :P

My friend is doing his current project at college on a dis-used old cinema just down the road, the State Cinema in Leith. It's clearly one of the old-fashioned cinemas from the 30's, just by the architecture, and he was telling about all the history he found out about it, how there used to be massive queues outside, and people just came and left the film as and when they liked, as it played all week, all day, so they'd see it all eventually. There were loads of stories about it from old people who used to love it as children...then it closed down, became a bingo hall, and then a nightclub, which was shut down 5 years ago or so after a murder. :/ (but then to be fair...Leith.)

I'm currentlycatching up to Buffy Season 8. It's alright...it's got some good premises in it, but I really don't like Georges Jeanty's art. It's technically fine, but it feels really undefinitive, and looks so bad when it's the variant cover to an issue, compared to the GORGEOUS painted covers. It just has no style/weight to it.

- Went to college. Got told I was doing well/on the right track. - Was told Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are coming to visit/meet us all on 2nd June, since he modelled some drawing school he owns in London after mine. Stunning/ I'm already over it. - Semi-stunning lecture on what lies beyond post-modernism, and basically how with the internet know ruling the world, the joke in art and music is to start from the ground up sans expectation of financial success, instead just like branching until you're famous on your own terms. That's worded really badly, but yeah.

I'm so angry that Spider-Man and Wolverine are in both the main Avengers and the Mighty Avengers. UGH. Clearly Spidey should be kept on the main team and Wolvey put on some other shit one. There's no reason for him to be there...he's one of the least likely X-Men to ever even join the Avengers. However, I enjoyed Avengers 1.

BEFORE YOU MY WHOLE LIFE WAS ACAPELLA Oh Kelis. Flesh Tone is a lovely album, so short and one solid whole (it all runs together), with brilliant production and all elastic electro-dance stuff, but with that typical Kelis, slightly left-off center thing going on. I'm gonna vote for Jefferson Airplane, despite never having heard the song before. I do like the Kills a lot, saw them live etc, this isn't a favourite of mine at all, and I really like the White Rabbit song.

My facebook / The Onion get. Read Issue 1 of both The Filth and The Invisibles, by Grant Morrison, as I'm currently going through his works. The Filth left me staring blankly at the screen, and will probably take a long time to get into, but The Invisibles seems pretty awesome. --- Oh fuck CBR, seriously. Every so often it just loads the cover then turns off, as if overloaded. Usually a few more tries to open the file just makes it all alright, but it's REFUSING at the moment.
