Uncanny X-Force revealed: Not sure why the new title and relaunch, or what happened to old team (then again I haven't finished Second Coming, which may explain what happens to half the team ). Hi Deadpool and Psylocke. You're appropriate.

That Linkara guy pisses me off. Just his hat. I hate people who try too hard. Also he was rude about The Dark Knight Strikes Again.

Invincible is fairly un-life-changing, compared to a lot of stuff I've read. It's good though. Never a bad/dull moment. Always leaves you satisfied, having enjoyed what you've read.

Loves it. ---- Hannah Montana: The Movie For the second time. Thankfully it was close to a year since the first time, but it doesn't get any better. Not my choice. Despite me being a bit of a Miley Cyrus enthusiast outwith Hannah Mont'. A really really shit film.

Just do some in 300 words, some longer and more in-depth etc, just to work at it in general.

Orkney is dull. I've done the touristy stuff last year. There is gold across the river, but I don't want none. Gold is fleeting, gold is fickle, gold is fun. That said, my aunt/cousin (who I'm staying with) have Sky, so I'm watching more TV than usual. My favourite TV shows are Miami Ink/L.A Ink/London Ink. I want a tattoo more than ever now. I love how in the U.S based ones, everyone has a heart-warming story, is beautiful, and it doesn't cause them pain, whereas in the London one, all the clients ask for shite tattoos and cry throughout. My sister and I loll'd so much at the "reality" of when a camera crew just happens to film Kat Von D and her boyfriend in the bath, like crying and shaking together.

I don't get it. I was ready to find the Gone With The Wind one funny, but the song itself isn't amusing, so it didn't work. This isn't a meme for me.

I did watch a great psychic show the other night called Lisa Williams (?): Life Among The Dead. She was some absolute idiot from that bit of England (leave me, I live in Scotland. It's Yorkshire or something?) but living hier life in L.A, having fun with ghosts. She was either amazing/really psychic, or it was all fake. Cause one reading was specific to the point of having to know the woman beforehand. Since it was all about revealing this woman's life story (which you could NOT guess- all about secret pregnancies, incest and shyt). I want to believe. I hate the ones that are obviously just "...". But she was so convincing.

Current graphic novels readings and thoughts: Batman & Son I loved. I hate that I forgot I needed The Black Glove, so I feel I can't read R.I.P (which I have) until I purchase/find Black Glove. But yeah, I really enjoyed it. It felt really concise, it never beat around the bush. Grant Morrison is my fave. I think it'll take reading all of his Batman stuff to understand it all, but yeah. I love the mentioning of The Black Casebook (i.e some of his random 40's and 50's stories). In this collection was a short story (as in, not a comic) interlude to do with Joker, which tied directly into Morrison's Arkham Asylum from years back (his concepts of the Joker's "super-sanity"), which was great. Astonishing X-Men Gifted and Dangerous Read Gifted before, but now I'm going through them properly, after buying the other 3 volumes. LOVE. It's so definitive, with John Cassaday's art. And Whedon has such a handle on the characters. I like Fraction's current run, but there's too many people flying at you at once for any real character moments. I prefer a concise/slimmed down team. Obvs. I know the Emma story leads to nothing of great import, but still, I can imagine being stunned was I reading in 2005 or whenever. Looking foward to the next 2 volumes. I like how all the volumes are adjectives. (Gifted, Dangerous, Torn and Unstoppable) Ultimates 2 Volume 1 A pointless thing to own without the rest, but good nontheless, and I've read it all before, so that's fine. I still think it's the best representation of "reality-warping powers" I've ever read. Considering it's so often tossed around as a power description.

Oh yes! That was what I actually wanted to say but forgot. The thing about knowledge about film-making/technique.

I didn't know the twist, watched it (with chair IIRC) and was like "Ok.". A good twist, but I was less than screaming with excitement.

I think you lack a distinctive "voice" at the moment, personally. I don't know what else. For me, something is missing, and it's probably that. As Ashley mentioned, the fact that the act of studying how to review films involves looking at and analysing existing reviews and reviewers, is important. It seems to indicate that a big part of a successful film review will come from the style/how it's written/what viewpoint it comes from. That's just my assumption though. I also want you to review films I want to read reviews of! :p You liked Let The Right One In, and you can't be buying/renting ALL these films, so I wonder why you don't watch more (what I would probably call "interesting" or "thought-provoking") films like that. But then that desire comes from my personal taste. Like, I'm so interested in what you or anybody thinks about Inland Empire or Dancer in The Dark. Even Alien, a famous stunner, and when people are like "Em...it's boring..." I scream and relish in the knowledge I know better than them.

It's got good reviews. I might buy it/listen to it. I never listen to Ta-Dah, tried the other day and the sound just annoys me. But the first album was briliant.

Not really. Just in terms of story structure/plotting/pacing, Finding Nemo should be discounted. It's also not as "magical". Both Toy Story films have something the other Pixar films don't. Except maybe Wall-E. They aren't my favourite Disney films, but I won't deny them.

Are you studying anything atm Dazz? Or if not, could you study journalism or something? I get the impression that would be a good thing to do if you want to actually work as a reviewer. (Maybe not journalism, there's probably a better course if you want to be a reviewer, but yeah)

Really?! I'm so ready. I'm getting the Daily Record or whichever paper it's in tomorrow.

I think of my body as an enemy. There's so much wrong with it. (and not in the "um I don't like my nose shape..." way) If I could change it for an entirely different body I would. I'm mentally hampered by/ what I think of my physical self/body.
