Coolness Bears

I am trying to watch at least one new movie each day this year, it's going well at the moment. Haven't missed a day yet. Movies I have watched so far this year: ATTACK THE BLOCK Ahhh, this has an amusingly low budget. Actually fairly fun but it's not good. Approach With Caution CARNAGE Yes. I thought this film was great. It just felt like the actors were having fun in those roles and I love the whole stage/play feel it had going. Recommend THE COVE Brilliant documentary, that left me feeling devastated at humanity afterwards. Recommend BUFFALO '66 This movie has a weird vibe about it and although not much is happening the characters kept me interested and it all built up to an ending that satisfied me. Recommend DESTINY (KADER) A turkish film with no subtitles so it was a little confusing, it was a solid watch though and had a depressing mood about it. Worth A Look HALL PASS Dire. It has a runtime of 1 hour 50 minutes so the pain isn't even over quickly. It ends on a perfect line though. :p Don't Bother. THE IRON GIANT Excellent. Apart from I can't decide whether I like the final seen or not. Recommend BEING ELMO: A PUPPETEER'S JOURNEY Heart warming. Just a lovely tale with out having to be extreme. ELMO LOVES YOU. Recommend THE WINGS OF THE DOVE Decent. Feels more like a TV movie though. Worth A Look ARRIETTY Good adaptation of the Borrowers but ultimately goes know further than that. great animation as is to be expected from Ghibli and it is made with their usual flare but the story in the end is lacking. Worth A Look CLUELESS Much better than your average teen movie and fairly intelligent. Worth A Look MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL Bland action sequences + slightly cheeky characters = fun but forgettable. I felt the script was tighter than other action films but ultimately lacked heart. Worth A Look ADVENTURELAND Standard coming of age tale that ultimately goes nowhere. Fine performances all round. Worth A Look

I think they should re name it the Wiii. There completely different.

Yeah it's a decent effort. It's a good adaptation of the borrowers and done with the usual Ghibli finesse nothing to sing home about though in terms of story but short and sweet. Animation wise it would look great in Bluray.

I kept thinking it was a tune from the game I was looking at. :p Then slowly realised they all had it. Funky.

What I have been listening to last night/today. Amy Winehouse - Lioness: Hidden Treasures. A nice posthumous compilation that just reaffirms that she had a good voice. Sleigh Bells - Treats. I have no idea why I haven't listened to this before. It's not as if I didn't know about it I never really cba. How silly of me it is excellent. I the album cover. Emika - Emika Some curious dubstep, it invades my mind.

I got my new Laptop today! My current Pokemon addiction is Woobat. They have the cutest noses. Tuturu~

I went to bed at 8am. The rest of the day has been a long dream in which I ended halfway round London watching my friend play Skyrim for 7 hours. I came up with a new short story idea for a competition I'm going to enter and I'm looking for a new laptop tomorrow.

I revised all morning, family time (sister and nephew was here), finished an anime, watched 2 films, dinner, played games with my mum. I love being at home. Shame I have to go back to University on Friday.

I love her voice. The video for Born to Die is too polished for my liking but that is only because I am used to the likes of her earlier efforts in Videogame/Kinda Outta Luck. Feels weird to see her in 1080p. Always weird to see the evolution of an artist. A silly video with an almost cheeky end.

That certainly doesn't help!
