They're from ebay and they've not arrived just yet so I'm not too sure. The seller has assured me that they're in "very good condition". One only hopes his definition is the same as mine. Finding new controllers for the 64 nowadays is so darn tough Also won today £5.50 - absolute bargain. I have no idea why I decided to buy a second one, seeing as I already have one at my mate's house. Perhaps it was the great price! and... £1.99 exceptional game which like the RAM pak, I already own but this copy is supposedly mint condition with box and instruction booklet! Beats my old tatty cartridge with a ripped sticker.

x2 Not sure if it's an official memory card or not but it came free with the controllers. £8.50 for the lot. I think about £4 (can't remember the exact price). Basically, a "friend" stole two controllers and the N64 expansion pak off me around 2 years ago, only to then lie when I asked if they were mine. Anyway, after repeatedly asking him to give them back, it appears that either he or one of his brothers sold them. Cunt. So I'm buying more stuff to bring my 64 back to life once more! And yes it was a jumper pak I wanted - mine is currently round a friend's house with my replacement expansion pak - thought I might as well get another so that he can run his N64 too.

That guessing thing for me tends to be either really off for insanely accurate! The spookiest one was Alan Shore from Boston Legal, there was no way it coulda worked it out from the questions it asked!

Darn Sheikah, take a chill pill or somat, people say stupid stuff on here all the time. It's what powers the Internet.

It's not that I don't think that you can't make a film level plot from it, but the game prohibits it. For example, Link going through 9 dungeons or so doesn't add much depth to the storyline aspect.

For all the Majora's Mask fans, check out my latest blog post where I perform the dangerous task of saying that it's better than Ocarina of Time! I'm hoping that at least Dannyboy will agree!

I put it down to the fact that people have experienced otherwise beforehand (e.g. they've been rewarded or realised that previously, people were rewarded for working harder) and therefore this idea is instilled into them. Perhaps, if civilisation/society were to begin with communism with no knowledge of anything that came before, the result could be very different. Who knows!

Does anyone actually enjoy the WW Triforce hunt?

You tell it how it is sister! Like I said, OoT (and a bit of MM), babies, weaning, happiness, etc. - you know where to find me! -
Cheers for the link Monsieur Ville - made for epic listening! And I see what you mean about the doppelgaenger thing (balls can't do an umlaut on these forums!) - I adore the whole "saving the townspeople by driving a giant robot (despite it being feudal Japan) through their homes". So quirky. So epic.

I can't help it - they're just such good games!!!

I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm completely wrong and instead, I'm partially wrong (what I get for making a bold statement on these forums). As per my example, Lithuania is a country that does not fit the general mould and if we're talking all former communist states, well Poland is an example of a country that has most certainly risen from the ashes, to take on quite a significant role in the EU. But yes, it's a case of some good and some bad. Much like every other economic region. And the EU did more than just free up access to markets - it allowed for greater freedom of movement, aka movement of labour, which, yes, means people "flee" to the more developed countries but also means that work across borders is possible. Not to mention, it opens the places up to tourism and easier, cheaper exportation to other EU members. As you correctly say, not everyone got richer but I'm sure it's been more than a few, hence why the baltic economies have been growing at a ridiculous rate. Well, until the banking crisis (which I believe hit Latvia pretty darn hard!) Again, I guess we can't really look at the region as a whole and rather we have to examine each state independently.
-
I would say it's the reverse - since joining the EU the fuckers have been swimming in money. Places like Lithuania actually rank higher than the UK when it comes to standard of living for some ridiculous reason!

As LostOverThere correctly states, you equate "dictatorship" and the term "evil regime" thus automatically placing your own subjective stance on the topic. Communism wasn't evil, it was just a different ideology. You're clearly a sucker for political discourse. Also, you can't just go "straight after" states within the international system. The reason why the UN doesn't work is because it's made up of the countries we don't necessarily get on with. The reason why all the proxy wars and shit like that happened during the Cold War and nothing was done about it was because a UN Security Council member (likely USSR, US or UK) would've vetoed any action to do so. It's why places like Kosovo are still a fucking mess because NATO made an illegal intervention which Russia and China didn't approve. Oh, not to mention that going after Stalin, after the most destructive war in history (which bear in mind, he pretty much won for us) would probably be suicide/utterly pointless. I commend you for trying to raise a discussion but perhaps stick to something you have a better understanding of?

Just one of my most favourite scenes out of any game - purely because it makes no sense whatsoever! Epic! I will do my list soon, but be warned, it'll be 95% N64-related seeing as everything sucks compared to it! And another one I almost forgot about!

Galaxy 2 soundtrack for the win - it's so much grander than number 1. Ronnie lists some epic tunes but they kinda fall flat compared to the incredible opening of Sky Station Galaxy!

I quite enjoyed the sailing - the land masses could've been a bit bigger mind you. Sometimes it's nice to have one big central location and then lots of iddy biddy bits around it - everything just seemed small in WW. Again, the physical world and dungeons weren't so much a problem for me, and rather it was the ginormous step back that Nintendo took back with the characters, levels of interaction, emotion, etc. It's just a lifeless collection of dull and uninspiring islands for the most part - And then it did it just as badly for Twilight Princess. In fact, the only slightly decent character relation was with the postman. -
Indeed, it may not have as grand a scale as OoT but it most certainly wins on this aspect. I find it's the most underrated title in the Zelda game - sure it got good scores but it's virtually forgotten given its release coincided with the decline of the N64.

QFTW baby! That was certainly one of the most awesome moments in gaming - the bit when they meet at the end, but they're gonna die, but they love each other, and you can't do anything but go back in time and leave them to die! Heart-wrenching - one of the few moments in gaming where I had chills running down my spine. That and the cutscene where you put the Goron's soul to sleep (can't remember his darn name!) - and he's being cheered as a hero. It's so sad but so goddamn epic!

So I've just had the privilege of uploading one of Captain Falcon's insanely good articles to my recently-created blog - check it out here people! Also, if you do, make sure you click the link on my post and visit his blog too! I want guest bloggers (especially if they're as good as the Falc is) - so get writing KNEE and make me proud! PM me, stalk me, love me, whatever, just do eeeeeeet!

This is actually starting to sound like quite a good game! Let's hope the final product is worth it!

Haha, my mate and I used to have a large "Bacon Double Cheeseburger" pizza from dominos and a share size coke - that or we'd nip up to Mcdonalds quickly for a Big Tasty, that game really took the energy out of ya I swear!

And where the crap is my message! I let you beat me at Smash Bros, you should love me more!

I'm curious, is it an actual game mode in PGR 3/4? I haven't played them you see. But in PGR 2 it wasn't, rather it was a game that the players online made up and played through the standard race mode. If it did eventually become an actual game mode then that's pretty sweet, means the community got to have something of an impact
-
Oh man that was awesome (although I did it in PGR2 - such an excellent series. I don't dig the more realistic racing games but PGR is just such great fun, especially in splitscreen mode.
