  1. Well, I think it's a common misperception that you're either "for" science *or* God. If you actually read the bible it makes a lot of sense. Examples: Genesis tells the order of creation - planets, light, sea creatures, flying creatures, land creatures, man. This ties in with scientific evidence. Whether or not you beleive in Evolution or Creation (or Creation via Evolution on God's part) the order is the same. The water cycle. This is briefly mentioned in the bible about water returning to heavens to fall again (I might try find some of this stuff later if I get time), although it was recorded in the bible long before any real scientific texts on the subject were written. The earth as a sphere. The book of Daniel refers to the Earth as a "sphere... hanging upon nothing". This was at a time when the general opinion was that the earth was flat, resting on the back of giant turtles, etc. There's more but none that spring immediately to mind. However, I beleive that science and God can co-exist. After all, if God did exist it would probably be a better move to make things occur as if they had naturally formed than to magically create everything in a literal week (I beleive by the "days" of Genesis it is refering more to time periods than actual literal days - after all, light wasn't created on the first "day" so how could you even measure?). Man, these topics get really deep, huh? Oh well, everyone is free to beleive whatever they want - those of us who beleive in God are grateful to him for that.
  2. Great fox, the side-on version. Only one realistic hiding place, and much chaos. Failing that, I also like Termina Bay for much the same reason.
  3. My SNES has a yellow front panel - you know that one with the logo on it? That's bright yellow on mine, whereas the rest of the unit is a nice grey. My NES is fine, though. You *could* get your SNES resprayed if you can find someone who still does it. They take the covers off and give them a new look, before putting them back on. I remember the same people did chrome N64 reprays back in the late 90's too.
  4. Wow, a free book. Does anyone actually read those things?
  5. Have they released any Twinbee games lately? Pop'n Twinbee for SNES is like my favourite game on the machine...
  6. It's quite fair, I think. PS2 owners have waited far too long for a real Resi game (not counting Code Veronica) and it's nice that they have a chance to play an enhanced version of the best game in the series.
  7. Eh? Skies looks like a Dreamcast game, TOS looks like a living beathing cartoon... the cel shading is beautiful.
  8. It's looking really pretty now...
  9. Now that's the kind of Most Wanted chart I'd like to see here in the UK. Instead we're stuck with: 1- Saints Row 2- GTA: Another One 3- Playboy The Mansion 2 4- KILL PEOPLE ZONE 5- Fifa 2007 6- State of Emergency Special OMG MORE BLOOD edition 7- Fifa 2007 Expansion Pack 8- Another Football Game 9- Another Crime Game 10- Another Crime Game 2.
  10. Skies is far more satisfying, and the lack of voice acting isn't really an issue - it's a huge game with a fun story and great characters. It seems pretty generic and boring for the first few hours, but once you get into it and start sailing the world it's a masterpiece. Tales is fantastic too, but the battles are slightly bashy, and I found that it was very easy unless you avoided battles like the plague. I only died once, on my first time in the water temple. The side quests far outweigh Skies' though, and the alternate outfits are worth tracking down. Get both, but prioritise Skies. It's better, plus you're safer tracking it down while there's still an odd copy around.
  11. Well that's pretty sound by my book, anyway.
  12. My top 5 GC Games: 1- Skies of Arcadia Legends 2- Tales of Symphonia 3- Sonic Mega Collection 4- Burnout 2 5- Super Smash Bros DX
  13. Not really. DKC1 had already been ported to GBC, and the GBA versions don't look half as nice as the SNES originals. Golden Sun proves the GBA is a competent piece of kit, but the DKC ports come over as pretty lazy, not to mention a bit dated now. Perhaps it's just that Rare's latest output hasn't been so hot? Mr Pants anyone? I'm sure if they ported Killer Instinct Gold to DS, or Jet Force Gemini, or even Blast Corps, they'd sing praises.
  14. Maybe not, but to argue over 2-10% is a bit petty I think. I was happy with CVG's 5/5 system to be honest. I don't see the need to be picky over a few points here or there. Either a game is great, good, average, poor or crap. That's all I need to know.
  15. You don't call that generous? Anything over 80% is a very good score, IMO. Considering 50% is "average", afterall.
  16. http://asame2.web.infoseek.co.jp/mariof.html Check out the links on the right, loads of fantastically funny Japanese Mario fanart.
  17. I played it online the other night. As amazing as it is offline, I found the online experience a little lonely. You tend to get huge gaps between racers, if you crash you're relying on them doing the same if you want any hope to catch up. It's fair, but only if your skill level is the same. Maybe Road Rage works better, but I found that in the race mode I was often left wondering where everyone was (either miles ahead, or miles behind, depending on who I raced).
  18. :lmao:
  19. I haven't played it online yet. Maybe in a few weeks.
  20. Yup, I got this from play.com yesterday. It's fantastic! However, my box art differs from the one posted up there... mine doesn't have a PEGI rating, rather it has a "U" BBFC triangle and no Pegi rating in sight. Struck me as odd, that.
  21. I dunno, I found PS2 a lot better than the original. I know PSone started the whole mainstream and 3D markets, but I never really had any affection for it. I mean, yeah, the Final Fantasy titles on the machine stand out as some of my favourite games in history, and it certainly had a few other classics such as Suikoden and Ridge Racer Type 4, but I also never "got" games like MGS, Gran Turismo etc... most of the PSone's biggest and most acclaimed games did nothing for me, regardless of how pretty and sophisticated they were. PS2 has been a total turnaround. It's drowning in quality titles like Gitaroo Man, FFX, Star Ocean 3, Gunbird, R Type etc...
  22. I'd love to see new genres come over here. I'd buy dating games. I'm not a fan of Western tastes, I can't stand the FPS genre. I want Bistro Cupid! Didn't like Animal Crossing though. No game ever felt more pointless.
  23. I want: -Illusion of Time/Terranigma series sequel. NOW. -Pokemon Snap 2 (imagine how awesome it'd be with a "real" camera attachment!) -A non-on-foot Starfox game - just all out space shooting with the occasional all-range battle -A Twinbee collection featuring all the SNES and PSone Twinbee games in one package!
  24. omg a big black diamond ship thing crashed! And that chick in the helicopter survived dispite the pilot probably being killed instantly!
  25. I think Enjiki was actually drawn by Jes, because the little Enjiki comics stopped the issue he left.
