I don't think the Revolution will hit quite the same market as the other consoles. It may end up selling less to current gamers, but bringing in a wider range of non-gamers. Just don't underestimate Microsoft. Live play rules, and the 360 should fix the issue of Japanese support that plagued the Xbox, even if it doesn't really do anything new.
It's unique. I think it's the right direction for Nintendo to take. The pad would look at home on your coffee table next to your DVD and tv remotes, and because it's a non-threatening thing to hold people who might otherwise ignore gamepads could be willing to give it a go. After all, everyone uses remote controls, and the power button is right there - what would it hurt to give it a go?
I'm getting it. I've played the Xbox demo and it's way better than Burnout 3. The Traffic Checking is fantastic, makes the game a lot easier to play, and the multiple route thing is awesome. I can't wait for the full game to arrive.
Enjoy it, then watch Advent Children. I saw AC this morning and if you're a FF7 fan you'll love it. It's pretty funny in places, the Turks provide comedy relief. Not enough Elena, though.
higher res, mp3 support, RGSS scripting for custom menus/events/battles/whatever you want, sprites as big as you like, no restrictions, true colour image support...
The ruby scripting language rocks. Check out some of the resources and stuff at rmxp.net
I'm also going to make some character sets and upload them to my site (http://www.silentdream.co.uk)
