Some general tips (if you don't know already) put your Darkness into +1 Dash and Death Defiance first !!! then collect 15 keys to upgrade the mirror and put Darkness into max health, more Cast, bonus damage while Cast is in enemy, and backstab damage get the upgrade which lets you swap your keepsake after every Underworld region select a Keepsake, which ensures you a boon that you need (do not underestimate Athena's defensive boons; especially the Dash + Deflect boon is a must) for the final area choose a Keepsake that increases survivability

Probably next week. I'm busy this weekend, sorry.

Gotta say, I'm surprised: Lovely DLC, so far. Was a little taken aback by the smaller map, but the dungeons seem to make up for that. It's also refreshingly more difficult. While I still don't like the masked enemies, there's more enemy variation making the screens harder to navigate. Already died more than in the standard game

Thanks. I decided beforehand to be aggressive. Risky but it worked out just fine Back in school (when I played my only games of chess) I was a defensive player and...I usually lost Great game from you, too. You made it a difficult for me to go through with my tactics. I was scared at times that you'd also start to really go on the offensive.

Would you mind hosting again? As always, I fear my WiFi may be a little too shabby to host a game

Good to know. Really hope @Ganepark32 sees this, as he's interested in getting one.

Interesting. Didn't know that. Indeed. It's similar to Fall Guys. Very easy to learn. Pff, you got lucky

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... (23rd April 2021)
drahkon replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
Sooo...I have a PS3 game called NieR. Never played it... Is this a remaster of the game I own? I don't understand anything. HELP. -
Well...this game somehow took the internet by storm. I came across those weird little space thingies via a meme. Looked it up and found out that they're from a game called Among Us. What is it? Pretty much a Mafia video game (not the game that got remade recently ). It's been on PC and mobile for 2 years but exploded (out of nowhere) in the past few days. Devs reacted to it: I've played it a few times on my phone with randos and it was a little hit or miss. Sometimes people left during the first discussion, sometimes people just grief, but when everyone actually plays the game like you're supposed to...it's a blast. I'm considering spending cash to buy the ad-free version. Anybody else gave it a go?

Hey @Ganepark32 GAME adds a £10 fee for delivery, just in case you haven't heard
-
Had a quick go and it seems much harder than the standard game. Probably because enemies now occasionally wear a mask that absorbs one hit. Not sure if I'm too fond of that design choice. There are better ways to increase difficulty (like adding new enemies, which the devs also did). Anyways, will get back to it now and properly give it a go

(they apparently add a 10 bucks delivery fee...just FYI)
-
I don't think that's the case. It is for Xbox Game Studios games (I think), but 3rd party devs still need to decided whether they want to put in the work. Edit: Aaaaaaand @Cube was quicker. DAMN YOU

@S.C.G I'm home and ready to play whenever you are.

They don't have a fancy name for it. And it's Sony...Sony bad for a few certain members here

Attack on Titan has finished? -
Maybe, maybe not. I just like to start collecting stuff once I actually have access to all abilities (especially when those collectibles are locked behind abilities...)

Calling "Mr. I'm so good at these Mario games you can call me 'Mr. I'm so good at these Mario games'", also known as @Glen-i Answer me this, my friend: In Super Mario Sunshine, is it possible to ignore all blue coins and collect all other shines? I.e. are blue coins actually needed to finish the game? IIRC, lots of blue coins are locked behind certain abilities/unlocks and because I'm a fucking nutjob, I only want to start collecting them once I have access to all of them.

This has always confused me. People say digital is more expensive than retail but in both cases the RRP is the same? Obviously some retailers sell stuff for less, but I don't see any digital storefront to match those prices ever. Expect PS5 games to be 80€ on the PSN store (or whatever your currency is). It's going to be interesting whether PSN credit will continue to be cheaper in some online offerings. It's quite easy to get 50€ credit for 40-45€.

Unlocking all weapons opens up the game quite a bit. Had a killer run with... Gotta say, Supergiant Games is incredible at taking a genre and creating a game with a great story around it. Bastion and Transistor are based around action-RPGs (the latter adding turn-based combat). Pyre has a unique take on...basketball, for some reason (and it freaking works). That reminds me...I gotta play it again and actually finish it... And Hades is a rogue-lite packed with characters, lore and an intriguing plot. They all play incredibly well, too, and offer some of the most stylish and awesome art and music ever created.

@Julius you have a way of writing down exactly what I want to say

Microsoft seems to push for a monopoly. Sad times.

...and I've beaten the final boss on my 11th run. A new mechanic was introduced: Now that I know how long my winning run took me: 30 minutes is par for the course for the genre. Rogue-lites usually open up once you've beaten them once, and it seems to be the same with this one. Will definitely not stop playing because the gameplay is brilliant. However, I'm still a little disappointed, because there doesn't seem to be a lot of variance in locations. There's a set amount and that's not a very high one.

Just checked; it apparently is. And both versions are available there (one per customer).
