The Hangover 7.5/10 Pretty funny, watched it with my girlfriend. It seems like one of those films that would be automatically more hilarious if watched in the presence of other guy friends, as if all feeding off each others' laughter. Plus...welll...it's easy to get distracted. ;_;

Well I already mentioned that point in my post. FFVII was no stranger to people's memories conveniently erasing themselves, and at the very least VIII provided a reason behind it. Cloud somehow forgot he was never in SOLDIER simply through the shame of failing to become one. Which is weird, because the things you tend to be ashamed of are typically the hardest things to forget. FFVIII had one ridiculous aspect that for all we know could have been down to GFs. It's just that we aren't buying it, as they made very little mention of it up to that point, or thereafter. Every FF has numerous stupid plot devices, and I'd actually say VIII has fewer than most other FF games. To write off the FFVIII story because of the one point while claiming other FFs have good or decent plots is silly.

FFVIII IMO is the best game in the series, as it had pretty much everything. The characters were far more fleshed out than in VII, and the title felt much more polished. People who didn't understand the junction system baffled me...it was really quite simple. It was also something different to levelling up all over again, which RPG players have done plenty times before. It's not who made which games, really. It's more or less the focus S-E have now...they're trying to make their games more about special effects, cinematics and MMORPG-like gameplay rather than going back to their roots. Which is why XIII probably won't be as good as the FF games we all knew and loved.

It snowed again last night here in Cheshire, and it's snowing really heavy right now. The snow is sooo thick. It doesn't even feel all that cold to me, which is a bit weird. I keep hearing thunder which means it may rain/hail. Hope not!

There was literally a blizzard here in Cheshire on Thursday... I was walking with my girlfriend to my house and it had started, then we went in Tesco for 10 minutes. Once we came out everywhere was whiter than white... crazy! I love snow, though. There'll apparently be a huge snowfall on Monday here...white Christmas, perhaps?

lol, in which case; this game will be shit. I don't think Famitsu has any integrity to be honest...40/40 to FFXII and Nintendogs? Nintendogs is fun, but I wouldn't go as far as giving it anywhere near a perfect score. And FFXII...probably one of the least engaging titles of the series.

Since this Chinese called Red Chilli near our uni has started doing a £5 meal deal for a dish I don't go to fast-food places too much, but when I do it's mostly subway. If I wanted to go for a burger I'd go to Burger King, since both their burgers and fries are nicer. Then again, McDonalds have nice little treats like milkshakes and apple pies. Shame the rest of its stuff is pretty dire.

Yep. I'm glad that through one terrible relationship I have somehow come away with something! It gets more funny when I tell you that what you saw on this forum is no different to what has happened before on many other forums, and other forums since this one. She often signs up to forums (she must be on at least 50) and enters meat topics with no understanding that she'd be wasting her time to argue with the people. She's literally throwing away her sad little life by trying to argue with people who will never change their mind.

Loosely on the subject of sex, shop owners can be funny. Was buying some condoms plus other things with my girlfriend the other day and the cashier, clearly seeing we had no bag, said "would you like a bag?". No thanks, we'll just walk around town showing these off, lol.

Hang on, you're judging the soundtrack quality heavily on the ocarina songs? Now, as nice as the few-note ocarina tunes are, they're really not songs or tracks at all, and at most they're a bit of fun. You only hear them briefly when you occasionally get your ocarina out. Contrast this to the background music you hear all the time...I'd say MM's BGM was far more atmospheric and memorable.

You're forgetting the Song of Healing, which is probably one of the best ocarina songs there is. The full, non-ocarina version of it is great too (especially when you combine it with the flashback cutscene that is normally played simultaneously). Audio

Today I had labs until 5 but went with my girlfriend to an awesome fireworks display, and a meal at a posh Italian restaurant afterwards. It was the best. Got to go now as apparently it's very rude to keep a lady waiting.
