Note I said good profit. Any profit could even mean just £1 - why would they chase that. We are saying the profit is not so worthwhile to actively pursue. Otherwise you are saying they just hate certain groups of people (and love leaving huge amounts of cash on the table), which I'm sure you'll agree makes no sense.
-
What I'm saying is that you just said if we were 1 or 2 votes away from DuD lynch then you would switch. We were 2 votes away before and you did not switch. Your sentiments are not genuine.
-
What difference does it make if we are 1 or 2 votes away or how it is now? Put your money where your mouth is if you really want a lynch to happen. The 'popularity before' thing was to point out that your vote before could have put him 1 away from lynch; you could be sure then someone else would have finished it (someone else with your mentality of I'll wait until we're a vote away). Truth is, you didn't then when we were a couple of votes away so why would you now?
-
It's not the same situation Sprout, because the side I'm on has the most votes (and certainly when this started, it had considerably more). In these situations, if people definitely want the lynch to happen regardless then people should switch to the guy with the most votes. Piling a vote or two on the less popular side will just result in an even split.
-
The only way a lynch will happen is if you two switch vote to DuD (which Sprout has never done, despite saying we need this lynch) and 1 more guy chips in. It won't happen any other way.
-
Actually, to smoke someone out is to bring someone out into the open. To reveal them, as doing whatever it is you're accusing them off. A rat may not be guilty of anything but it can still most definitely be smoked out. I have to say though - If I can't smoke a kipper out and I smoked you out, then that doesn't say much about you. What I'm saying is that you presented no evidence to back your statement. If you have evidence that can support the lynch of either of these two then really you should present it.
-
For reference - Say what you want, but you sure as hell can't take any credit for confessing on that one. You were sussed!
-
Right. DuD, are you aware that you're extremely arrogant when playing these games? Perhaps you should take another look at the start of D2 in the writeup; you can clearly see me stating that you went for mr-paul.
-
@Sprout bear in mind that I smoked DuD out at the start of D2 before he even had a chance to reveal his target, and really it made sense for him to reveal his target before anyone else might since he knew he was the most suspicious at that point (and most likely to be targeted). I think it's odd he would have gone for the kill again though, but Diageo says he was untargetable and MadDog could not reach him either. Nobody could reach DuD. I have no idea why you have a different verdict to me but it's possible one of us was screwed with or Diageo performed 2 actions (in the latter case it would most likely be killing; which is why if DuD flips town I'll be voting him). A stalemate will achieve nothing and most votes are currently on DuD. If you really are as interested as you say you are in find out one way or another then put your money where your mouth is.
-
Solid input. I guess we should all switch vote based on the absolute nothing you just put forward. Regardless of who is right or wrong, I don't care. If DuD is not guilty then I will just lynch Diageo. I'm going with DuD because of his targeting the killer twice and people not reaching him, as well as having an unverifiable role. He is either just very unlucky, scum or unknowingly scum.

If guaranteed good profit was there they would do it. It's as simple as that.

@Shorty you've exceeded your PM limit - and I nearly have too. Was going to say to you and @Zell that trials this Sunday at 8PM would work great for me. Maybe you can find out how to increase my PM box limit again? That's like your favourite conundrum.
-
Icebreaker was already slow as fuck, no idea why they gimped the recharge rate even more.
-
I doubt it, seems like a weird thing to make up to me. It's more likely one of us has been screwed with. I get the impression Sprout is telling the truth. @Dannyboy\-the\-Dane my PM just says I carefully observe who they target, and that it will not be reported in the writeup as that was a one-time event.
-
I'm guessing Jonnas uses a RNG to generate what I can do from a list (because I get a different ability every night). Only the first night was I a public broadcaster, and even then it wasn't clear from the description of the first ability what I'd even reveal about my target. It's possible either me or Sprout has been screwed with.
-
That's interesting, because I got back that he targeted DuD. Out of interest, how do you get your information?
-
Going by what you just suggested, if you really have been getting results then the Mafia can't have switched your ability with a kill move since then you wouldn't have done your regular ability instead. An undetectable touch of death that lets people do their normal action seems too OP to me. If you had some information we didn't already know then I might have believed you. Maybe. Vote: DuD
-
I also don't buy this @DuD - it's not like they've been redirecting you to their kill target every night as you said you've been picking them. I must have missed the part where it was said you were untargetable as well. If killing isn't your game then what have you done so far?
-
I thought you tried to make me go mad?
-
I was successful last night. I didn't use the same ability I did yesterday, which is why I don't appear in the writeup this time. I didn't target the dead guy and I don't see the need to reveal what I did at this time (at least, I don't think it's helpful to say, yet).

Anti-mergin'

My girlfriend has it and I have a Nexus 4. The specs are worse than a Nexus 4 so I wouldn't recommend it (it's an ideal budget phone though). Unless you're saying that the other way around, in which case, ignore me.
-
Pretty sure they're getting extra funding too (it was mentioned somewhere). That 70 million I thought covered the cost of both games plus something else. The game will sell a lot more when released; Kickstarter is great but the amount of people willing to pay up front for a game that is something like 2+ years away is always going to be just a piece of all the potential customers. Hopefully someone like Sony sees this and props them up, with an aim to recoup the money after release.

And like I just said....those reasons make it as unlikely as can be that Gumshoe would be a cop again, in my eyes. If Gumshoe was one before then I don't see why he'd be one again (on account of lazy role writing), and I don't think the Mafia would assume that either. And like you said, you're not one. So that pretty much proves my point. In a game where everyone knows who everyone else is, you can't assume or make links like that; if the 'good' guys were all the good guys in the game then we may as well just wrap up now and call it a day. If the note is real it sounds to me like a demand for information, but you didn't have it. Whether that's for a good or bad cause I have no idea.

If his character was an investigator in the last game then in my eyes that makes it about as unlikely as possible that he'd have the same role again. Unless Jonnas put literally no effort into writing the roles this time round. I find it very weird that someone woukd try to make a point with reasoning like that. It's also clearly stated in the first post that the canon guilty characters in game does not mean guilty here, which obviously works vice versa (meaning non guilty characters in the game could well be guilty here, and therefore not investigators).
