You know you can move your ghost across characters right? I am up for starting at 7:45 on Tue. One thing to note though, the monitors need to all be done in one sitting which we can't do if we just get up to the final boss in one sitting, then leave. I'm not sure we'll have enough time to do the whole raid including monitors when starting at this time (although as it's a work night, not much I can do about the start time).

Congrats ReZ and Claire!
-
Free all weekend, can start after 10 today and all day tomorrow. How about you @Map and @DriftKaiser? Good to start late tonight and all day tomorrow?
-
It's possibly still going on in store at ASDA (take console and FIFA to till and they scan through at £150). Could well have sold out though.
-
I literally have no idea what you do when you turn on your PS4 to make you this mad. Do 95%+ of people not just tend to just continue playing whatever they've recently been playing, or whatever the disc is that they put in the system?
-
I don't know about you, but PS4 Neo sounded dogshit to me. It was cool to people who still think the Matrix is cool and trendy.
-
Ok so based on what has been said it looks like the raid team will be: Zell, Eddage, me, Shorty, Map, Drift. Drift is working Saturday (afternoon?) How are people for Saturday evening and any time Sunday? Also I just thought I'd mention (and a clarification on an earlier post) - legendary engrams don't decrypt above 365. Silly I know - you may as well decrypt any of them you have on the race to level. Keep exotics til 365 though.
-
Call this off topic but when I first saw this deal I couldn't help but immediately think what effect this will have on the perception of the NX. Surely that will be over £150, and we pretty much know that the spec will be lower than the PS4.
-
Me, Zell, Eddage, Drift and Map are all 360 or above - can you guys please confirm whether you are available 2PM this Saturday? If not we could start either in the evening or on Friday night. For the last person we need, let's say the first person who can get to 360 or above and post here that they reached 360 prior to the raid gets the spot. That seems like the fairest way to me.
-
I could definitely start tonight, probably be about 8PM onwards.

I wouldn't say someone wasn't a hardcore athlete for being just a full time runner. I don't see how it's any different. They're gaming...all the time...and they take it very seriously.
-
But how does a person who spends all their waking hours playing just EVE Online (of which there are many) get to be considered casual in any sense? I don't see how quantity of games played can dictate this one at all. It's just so very arbitrary. You could argue that app gamers are hardcore kings as they have access to a plethora of free/59p games. Some people play loads of games but aren't half as serious as some people playing just a few.
-
Why? Someone who is casual about something does not take it seriously. They are your Wii gamers who bought a cheap Wii and played the games while they held their interest and it was the in thing, then they moved on to other things when times changed. They're probably the people playing on mobile games right now. A person can be a hardcore gamer even if they play just one game, so long as they are significantly invested in it. In fact, they can be so invested in it that they have little time for anything else. The idea that they need to play some arbitrary number of games to be considered hardcore gamers is very silly. We can complain all we like about labelling people but it's very easy in my view to differentiate people with very different interests and approaches to gaming. Neither is right or wrong, just different.
-
Herein lies the problem; your criteria are ridiculous. A person who hardcore plays EVE Online and nothing else is not a casual gamer.
-
@Ronnie would you call EVE online players who only play EVE, with Microsoft excel open to track their objectives, casual players? They're only playing the one game.
-
The funny thing is that Neogaf users aren't even a good representation of hardcore gamers. It certainly never makes sense to bring in their opinion about the NX as a forecast of the future, like you keeping doing Ronnie. Really, really strange that you keep doing it. "Neogaf is really buzzing about the NX" - oh right, so it's going to fail then?
-
@Ronnie read this. Man speaks truth.

Yeah, you should basically equip the higher level blues to instantly level up - don't keep infusing them every time or you'll run out of marks.
-
Not sure if you know but blue engrams only decrypt up to 340, no higher. For 341 to 365 loot you want to kill the bosses, which drop two blue, already decrypted weapons/armour that go above 340 (but no higher than 365). If you get behind on an item (almost certainly artefact) e.g. if you're 360 in everything but have a 350 artefact, use a skeleton key on the chest at the end of a heroic strike. They're very likely to give you the thing you most need. They also give you loot specific to that strike, which is really nice. Save decrypting your legendary and exotic engrams for when you have 365 versions of the things you're replacing and you're at or around level 365.

I'm 365 so raid ready. Would be good to hear from others here when they think they will be ready for the raid.
-
You're correct, although I would imagine that's related to the last boss. Most likely 360 is a pretty good level to start the raid on given you tend to get loot as you go.
-
From rumblings going around, 360 seems to be the recommended light level to start on (indeed, hard to get loot anyway past 365). No need to kill yourself trying to grind higher than that when the equipment you'll get in the raid will get you higher much quicker. Currently at 355, so not far away.

Not true at all, there are many games where voice chat is integral to the gameplay. You'd be utterly decimated on most competitive FPS if you didn't communicate.
-
Why am I getting No Man's Sky vibes from the hype for this...
-
If you had to start again, where would you begin?
Sheikah replied to nekunando's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Yeah it's a no brainer given the conditions laid out. You'd pick a current console that still has games coming out for it (I reckon people spend most of their time playing current systems). If your memory of the games was also wiped yet you got to choose beforehand what your future self would play, that would be a more interesting question.
