That makes sense. Online is the air that he breathes, after all.

I actually think you've just made a dramatic situation out of nothing, personally.
-
You know what, it's a shame that you felt you needed to make a post like this. Why can't this forum take a laugh? I actually found this back and forth pretty funny.

I don't think you can judge success by just comparing sales to the last console though (which was some years ago); clearly there are a lot more customers out there now but the majority are opting for a PS4. PS4 and X1 vie for exactly the same customers, so you can't put it down to the audiences being different. I very much doubt Microsoft are seeing this a proper success like their last console since they are being so heavily outsold. I'm almost certain that the very powerful Scorpio is their attempt to reverse the situation. The poison runs deep in this one...

Can you please provide me with a source for this? I appear to have been doing this wrong all my life.

4 months after? Sony will probably be releasing Neo about 3.5 to 4 years after the original PS4. To do a similar comparison, compare a £500-600 iPhone of 4 years ago to one coming out now. The spec differential would probably be about the same, except the Neo will probably be a lot cheaper. I don't really get it - why do people let the thought of there being something better out there ruin their day? I love my LG G4 even though there is now a G5. I don't worry about a new model coming out and just continue to use my phone like I do.
-
Change always starts somewhere. Progress is never achieved by always doing the same thing. Scorpio supports the idea that change may indeed have arrived. Not sure what was wrong with my point - a new phone comes out every year from Apple and people who bought the last phone are seemingly fine with it. Some gamers could learn a lesson or two from the phone aficionados. It's all about not being petty and jealous of what other people have.
-
Then half the forum are idiots? I don't know what more to give you. People should just be happy with what they have and stop worrying about what others have. Do the same people get annoyed that there's a new iPhone being announced today as well?
-
I don't think they have any negative feelings to smooth over, I reckon most people see this as a good thing.

Not like this... I am excite. Show me stuff, Sony.

NX 2017 super-confirmed.
-
You're correct. PS1 was their most successful at the time (and sold a lot more than N64). Then they followed up with the even more successful PS2.
-
No one is saying they haven't done a decent job in bad circumstances. What I am saying is that I disagree with you saying that they have turned it around. If a football team play like crap and are losing 5-0, but then start playing competently but are down 5-2, you wouldn't say they've turned it around, would you?
-
No, you were specifically discussing 'turning things around', which they didn't. They didn't turn things around. Sony continue to outsell them massively, no matter what they have done since. Dat reveal was everything.
-
No matter what a great job Microsoft have done in 'turning around their image', It hasn't helped them turn around the situation...that's the point I'm getting at. Everyone who hated the X1 after that presentation went and got a PS4. Then their friends got a PS4 to play with them on the same network. It was a very damaging cycle. Now it doesn't matter what Microsoft are doing with X1, like adding BC and better games on GWG than Plus, because they are still being outsold 2:1. My point is it's very important for Nintendo to get it right. I'm sure they wouldn't like the idea of years of 'making it right' with sales much lower than they should be because they fluffed it at this stage.
-
Oh no, that's the thing about Ronnie, no prodding is required. I don't see how anyone can say they turned it around when they are being outsold more than 2:1. Ok, so they managed to remove anti-consumer features and add other cool features like 360 BC. If anything this proves my point - they now have a console with features their competition doesn't have and they are still outsold 2:1. Ergo nothing they are doing can turn around what happened that day, at least with the base X1. So to sum up - Nintendo need to be careful because if they fuck it up, just like with Microsoft, there's a good chance they won't be able to turn it around.
-
Well that's nonsense. They didn't turn it around, the damage was already done. They gave Sony the lead in one sitting and they have never managed to reverse that lead.
-
PS4 is outselling X1 more than 2:1. Do you call that a turnaround?
-
I'm still not quite sure I understand, it's 16 quid or free if you can wait a few weeks...? Seems pretty sensible to wait, really.
-
I'm pretty sure you can see what village your friend is in and take a train there. That is, if there's space to create another house.
-
Bugger. Next one, please.

I can understand this though. To play through all 3 games would take some considerable time and I could quite easily see that leaving people burned out on ME for a while. They don't have that long before Andromeda is out. What they should have done is got it out much closer to launch of the PS4/X1.

No dice. Sounds like no remaster coming.
